How seriously do I take my coffee?

eyelets, copics, homemade enamel dots, ribbon, circle punches

just another angle view

I'm casing Kathy's, Will Stamp For Wine,  fab k cup holder.  BUT, I'm using the Birdbrain Needs Coffee stamp from From The Heart Stamps.  They have their Challenge #81 this week using the sketch or twist...see below.  I opted with the "eyelets".  I see some people using brads, but I thought eyelets were circles with holes. I don't want to chance making a mistake since I decided not to use the sketch. I ask you...are brads and eyelets the same?...haha

Lighthouse from Lawn Fawn

A2, acetate, pop-ups, sequins and beads, all Lawn Fawn dies and stamps... Life is Good, Spring Showers, curvy scissors for waves

I've tried to get down to the beach as much as possible before Fall set in.  My friends always have a room for me.  I sent them this thank you card. Yup, a shaker card!  It was my first time trying this procedure and I followed a You Tube tutorial.  This was cased from one of Lawn Fawn's lovely DT member.

Juice Time...here kitty kitty kitty

This is the last of the glasses with vinyl to share.  This young lady doesn't drink alcohol but loves a fine glass of juice.  She is also a big lover of cats and has several beautiful Maine Coons.  The art work is an old digi from Andy Bauer...and art illustrator.   I turned the digi into an svg and then sent to my Cameo for cutting.

B is for Becky, her name is on the other side

Facts about me and my coffee

2nd posting this morning!

Inside: I am only as strong as the coffee I drink, the hairspray I use and the friends I have....along with a steaming cup of coffee

Birdbrain Needs Coffee is from From the Heart Digital Stamps.   I wanted to make a coffee card and  join the Sketch with a Twist challenge #80 at From the Heart Stamps.  The twist: homemade embellishment  I designed the svg cups, cut them out and try to make it appear that they were hanging on a cup rack as my homemade embellishment.  I also followed the sketch.

A2 vertical, pop-ups for dimension and I made the coffee bean designer paper with an old coffee bean stamp..  I also used copics for the coloring. Svg cups were cut out using my Cameo

Agapanthus

Never knew the name, spelling, nor the pronunciation of this lovely flower.  It is awesome when it blooms.  My friend Harry, from Charleston, was kind enough to share some of his plants.  I can't wait till next year to see them bloom in MY yard.

I used a very old wooden stamp by Penny Black.  I used White Pearl Embossing Powder, but it looks more clear to me.  Anyhow, the rest is self explanatory.  It will be a thank you card.

A2 vertical, there is a peach border but in pic it looks pink, stitching, ribbon, twine, eyelets wet embossing powder

Angle view, I embossed some more agapanthus but used blue glitter

Waitin' for my husband

I love Halloween time and this skeleton was callin' me to buy it as I was strolling through Costco.   I have him/her sitting on my front porch.  I plan to change the sign about every 3 days.  Meanwhile you may ask what and why I'm waitin' on my husband !  Well, he never gave me a card or present for my birthday,  still waitin'.  He hasn't decided when he would like to take a vacation...still waitin'.  Heck, he's still thinkin' about Long Term Care Insurance for us...yup...still waitin'.  I think you get my drift!

That's my favorite South Carolina hat she's wearing

It's Been Nuts Doodle Pantry (more)

Yup...another card with Just Nutty from Doodle Pantry.  And yup...another shaker card.  This time I put in some nuts from the set into the shaker area and used door insulation for the separation in the shaker area.  It worked great but it will cost and extra $.20 to mail, but a small price to pay to put a smile on someone's face.  Unless I'm ordering crafting goodies, the rest is a bill or ad in MY mailbox.

It's truly been a little nuts around here.  I just got back from another mini vacation to the beach and I'm a little behind in my chores and in commenting and making cards.

PS...Still a few days left to join our fun September Doodle Pantry Challenge #50.

Just Nutty from Doodle Pantry

Just Nutty is one of Doodle Pantry's mid-September releases.  I took the nut cluster and masked it to make individual nuts I could use.  If you look around, you can see a nut in the palm of both squirrels and resting upon the "n" in the fun sentiment.  The jar image is from Doodle Pantry's Bottles & Jar set.  One squirrel is sitting atop the jar lid.  I used pop-ups and extra images of nuts and squirrel/limb for a little added dimension.

PS....there's still time to join our September Doodle Pantry Challenge #50.  Great opportunity for a chance to win a GC and/or a free selected stamp set provided you use a Doodle Pantry image and there are free ones in the store if you don't have one already.

A2, copics for sky, pop-ups, stitching, raffeta, white highlights, ink pen for grass that you can't really see due to raffeta...lol

took pic outside just for fun

Birdhouse and cat silhouette

I'm still playing with my Circle Burst die.  I used the large die this time and I cased a lovely card I found on Pinterest. I haven't decided about the sentiment...any ideas?

Other than the circle burst die, I used old flowers I found in my stash, MB Fanciful Flourish, branch, birds and cats, and a MS border punch. Oh...I made the birdhouse in Silhouette Studio.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

A2

angle view...used pop ups for some dimension

Tweet Birdhouse

Our new neighborhood is only going to have 44 houses.  So far, there are only about 15 of us who have moved in.  My new friends ,Christian and wife Becky, will be moving-in in mid October.  Except for the red mud, it's quite interesting to watch the houses being built.  Anyhoooo, Becky loves kitty cats.  They have several "all indoor" gorgeous Maine Coons. Soooo...I made this card for Becky.

I used the adorable Tweet Birdhouses from Doodle Pantry.  I put so much decoration on the front, I decided not to do the same for the inside.  Looking back, I would doll the inside up and take a little off the front.

A2, my svg window, MB cat dies, branch die, curtain from Silhouette, pop-ups for dimension

From the Heart Challenge #79 - Couch Yoga

This week's challenge From the Heart Stamps has their #79 Sketch Challenge with a twist.  The twist is : humor.  Earlier this morning I downloaded Create with TLC freebie quote called Couch Yoga.  I immediately thought of my husband who hates yoga and loves to position himself on the couch on the weekend. Next, one of the birds from the Flappy Birthday from From The Heart turned on the light bulb in my head.  I had to marry the two.

Click on image to get a better look at sentiment. (PS..in all fairness to my DH, he exercises at the gym 4 days a week...haha)

A2, I turned the sketch on it's side, homemade dots from pony beads, copic markers, stitching, Treasure Box Furniture Collection that will soon be retired.

What A Hoot at Doodle Pantry

It's a mid - September release at Doodle Pantry.  So many fun images to choose from.  This set is called "What A Hoot".

Yup, pulled out the Circle Burst die that I love.  Doodle Pantry images are so easy to take into Silhouette and turn into a Print and Cut....so put 2 things together that I love and I think I have a card worthy of sending to a friend...haha

Remember the September Doodle Pantry Challenge #50 is still in progress.  You have a chance to win a GC to the store and receive the set Gift Monkey FREE for using a Doodle Pantry image (not just sentiment) in the challenge.

A2, vellum, Circle Burst die, string, wet embossing, pop-ups for dimension

Cut It Up Challenge: Peace, Country, Flag Colors

The challenge at Cut It Up #53 is... "Peace", use colors of the flag of a country you have visited or would like to visit.  I haven't been to many countries, but Africa is on my wish list.  Of course, I would rather go to a safe area of the country.  Humm...not to be cynical, but every country has their "not so safe areas".  White, blue and green are the colors of the flag of different parts of Africa.

A2 vertical, framed landscaped die...can't remember which company, I made the kite die-cut in Silhouette, and the sentiment is from Stampabilities, I embossed a frame around card

From the HEart Flappy Birdbrain...What's Up

I love this sketch so I'm using again, but with a little twist.  I'm also trying to meet another deadline.  I kept scratching my head as to how to approach the From the Heart Challenge...follow the sketch or twist which is to use something recycled.  Well, I took pics of me using pony beads and melting them down in the oven to use as enamel dots.  The pony beads weren't serving any use, but changing them into useful dots made a lot of sense.  I just accidentally erased the procedure of me baking.  It didn't smell up the kitchen too much since my DH and I opened up the windows. Anyhooo....very pleased with the results and hope From the Heart Stamp team will consider the beads, turned into useful dots as my recycled item.  (Still mad that I erased the pics!)

I also split up the images from Flappy Birdbrain and placed one of the outside and one on the inside and eliminated the thrid with masking....the beauty of digital!

A2 vertical, pine tree die, my homemade dots from old pony beads, colored the tring orange, cloud punch, pop-ups for dimension

Inside: copics for both birds, sentiment using Word

Lawn Fawn GET WELL SOON

I've fallen in love with Lawn Fawn Stamps and Die sets.   This one is, of course, Get Well Soon.  I did several didn't styles...here's just one.  I tried to make some masculine and some feminine.  I think this is masculine.  I colored in little pills....haha  I also used their Stitched Banner die set.  PS...I pretty much cased one of the DT member's card.

A2, nurse's hat brad, ribbon, and Lil'Inker stitched flag, hole punch and copics

Lacy Sunshine...Sit a SPELL

2nd posting today to meet deadline!  Oh My!

I am under the wire to post this card.  I'm having the best time with the wonderful Lacy Sunshine images.  This one is called Darina & Bardolph.  The Lacy Sunshine challenge #41 is to use a window.  Now if you know me, I LOVE making cards using my own window svg.

I used MB shutter, my window, copics, MS goo punch, pumpkin and spider punches.  And,I  Print and Cut the image leaving a shadow on my Silhouette.  (Bad grammar...sorry)  I'm in a hurry..haha

A2, vertical fold, IO grass die, pop-ups for dimension. embossing folder and chalking on the embossed area

Birthday Burger Birdbrain for Tyler

I was commissioned to do several birthday cards for a dear friend's son who is in training for the Marines Special Forces.  She wants something fun, manly, amusing and CAS since he has nothing but a bunk and a knapsack.

I need to take a better pic to really show how the front looks when "flat".  You aren't able to see the speech bubble until you open the card....and then "surprise".

What a great From the Heart Stamp set...it's just toooo cute....oh gosh..manly too...at least a little I hope. The set is called Birthday Burger Birdbrain....try saying that 3 times real fast!

A2, stitching, twine, gift charm, heat embossing, circle punches, puff paint on candle

Inside: cut sentiment, image and make shadow with Silhouette Cameo and colored image with copics

Flappy Birthday

Here's September's From the Heart Stamp image called Flappy Birthday.  I received it FREE for participating in their August Challenge. What a sweetie!  I'm entering this image in their September Challenge.

I wanted to use just "one" of the images, but wasn't sure of the rule, so I stuck with all three but did another card with just one of the images that I'll post later this week.

My inspiration was Jeannie from The Spotted Chick.  I plan to case hers .... for sure.  I didn't have the  curved die cut so I had to make my own in Silhouette

A2, faux stitching, copics, pop-ups, balloon made in Silhouette

You Brighten My Day...

Oh My... I was excited to use Card Cut 7 set SVG from Doodle Pantry being introduced this month. Yup, and I'm still playing with shaker cards.  I've made 3 with this file, but only sharing this one with the theme: you brighten my day

I also used the Everyday Jargon set.  The only thing different is that I used some Lawn Fawn fireflies (glow worms). I just giggle every time I use the poem that can be found on the last page...so silly, but cute!

Join in on the September Challenge #50 fun with a chance to win a GC and receive a select free file if you use a Doodle Pantry image.  How fun!

How to end a bad day...

I love the little sentiment stamp I used.  I think it goes well with this Front To Back stamp called Scrappie Dog from Art Impressions.  I've had it for several years and never used it.  Look carefully at the front of the card and even more carefully as you open it.  It shows the front and back of the image!  Too cute!

I'm entering my card in the Art Impression challenge : use a "Front to Back" image.

A2, fence, window and shutters from MB, embossed brick folder, lace for curtains, copics, grass die

another angle of front, pop-ups for dimension

lamp from Silhouette Store,

another angle, American Art Stamp called Dog Slobber

Boo...Funny Bones...Eek

I'm revisiting the Sizzix Triple Circle Flip-It Die set, but with a Halloween theme this time.  The images and sentiment clear stamps I THINK are from an old Inkadinkadoo set.  The leaf stem die is from Poppystamps. Anyhoooo...isn't it fun!

A2, goggle eyes, old Fiskar flower punch

Inside of card....plenty of room to write my note on the back

Ageless Antiques

....that's the name of one of the new, fun sets for September from Doodle Pantry. (Ageless Antiques)  I also used the fun Accent Ants and Critter Top - Ants.  I chose it because I was inspired by my mixer that I decorated last year.  How do you like my flames!!! My husband tells people, " when Cely is in the kitchen, get out and stay out of the way, she's on fire!"  lol

Join us at the September Doodle Pantry Challenge.  No doubt you will see the new sets, get inspired and hopefully want to join in on the fun for a chance to win a GC and receive a selected set for free (Cheer Spirit) if you choose to use a Doodle Pantry image.  SWEET!
