Gift Box ...and roses at Christmas

I am totally amazed at these 2 roses blooming just days before Christmas.  Being in SC, this is something you just wouldn't see.  They are a little worse for wear but I'm so proud of them putting up a fight and blooming at Christmas....so I had to share a picture of them along with the other darling, quick, easy box I made to hold a little gift for my DL.

SVGCuts offered this beautiful "One-Piece Box" set for FREE.  I do not know if they are still available, but it would be worth you while to check it out.  These boxes are great for male or female as you can tell by the box I made for my son on yesterday's post.

What a wonderful FREE gift box set.

Gift Box

One-Piece Boxes

Mary and Leo, owners of SVGCuts, offered this marvelous set of one-piece boxes for free....as a thank you and Merry Christmas.  I'm not sure if it is still free, so you had better hurry over NOW to check out.

I needed something quick and simple for a last minute gift card holder for my son for Christmas.  He loves Lowe's so I whipped out this "man paper" and made this box.  Mary was ABSOLUTELY right....it's quick, simple and darling.  I also made Box #5 for my DL that I will post later.

Used a 12x12 DP paper and eClips

I'm back!

Gosh....had a wonderful time in Rhode Island, especially since it was not ME having all the surgeries.  I missed so much.  I appreciate all the lovely comments left on my blog and apologize for not being able to reciprocate.  I will gradually start visiting blogs that I have missed.

I'll be there with bells on!!!

at Paper Pretties

My time (6 months) with Paper Pretties has just about come to an end.  I have really enjoyed working with the design team and ARTish at Paper Pretties.  Loving all the images over the past months made the time go by toooo fast.  You will see more Paper Pretty images, but I'll be in the challenges just like you...lol  This particular image, Emalina Elf, has to be one of my all time favorites over these past 6 months.  The adorable smile on the character is contagious! Remember, each image comes with several sentiments. (I hope you can see the tiny bells on the elf's feet....they really jingle!)

Head over to Paper Pretties and take part in the fun challenge...red, white and color of your choice.

I'm so sorry!

at Catch the Bug

Beautiful Blocks - Faith is in the Beautiful Blocks series just recently added to Bugaboo Stamps.  I always find sympathy cards the hardest to make and usually make them on a "need to" bases.  I don't generally see sympathy card challenges; however, I see some "Thinking of You" challenges now and then.

I made this card for my brother-in-law who recently lost his daughter.  I wrote my personal sentiment after the picture of card was taken so that's why it looks a little plain.

Fall time and turkey time nearing, so strut on over to Catch The Bug and enjoy seeing lots of projects.

All Wrapped Up

at Paper Pretties

I chose to make a tree ornament and/or tag from one of today's new releases at Paper Pretties. My DIL loves moose images.  It will be a great little tag for her Christmas present. Part of the challenge for Paper Pretties is to use ribbon.  I added holly, red jewel beads and glitter, along with pop-ups for dimension and, of course, my beloved copics...lol

Join in on the fun challenge and check out other design team members projects HERE.

Naughty JJ

Headed to Rhode Island

Yup....Rhode Island here I come.  I am a warm-climate girl, but I will take my underalls to keep me warm. I am helping family (in-laws) and look forward to seeing them.  MAYBE this Southern girl will see some snow.  I will be gone for 9 days so I will not be posting many cards except the ones I already have on auto-pilot for the next few days.  This will give me lots of time to visit a lot of blogs and your creations.

I have my IPad2 to keep me company, along with my copics and some images to color during "down time".
I'm not a good flyer.

5 Golden Rings.... (3rd Post this morning)

12 Days of Christmas
Day #5

Ok....this one gave me a little trouble with all the stickles and gold foil paper I was trying to photograph.  I gave it my best shot. I like my card, but not loving the card.  Oh well, mama said there would be days like this.  I used the "not yet release" 5 Golden Rings image from Bugaboo Stamps. (Release: Dec. 13)

Hanging Around Waiting For Christmas (2nd post today)

ABC MONDAY (Anything But A Card)
at Catch the Bug

Rudolph (Candycane) from Bugaboo Stamps makes me giggle no matter what pose he is in.  I've colored him many times and placed on cards.  This time I changed him into an svg and made him into a hanging ornament for tree.....I have him on my wine rack in the kitchen since that's where I am most of the day...not drinking....in the kitchen cookin'...lol

Head over to see a few other ABC inspirations at Catch The Bug!

Waiting for Santa (1st Post today)

at Paper Pretties

I loved both new release images, so I decided to marry the two for my card project. The card is definitely putting me in the holiday spirit.

I cut around some of the image for added interest, added MS sprigs, snowflake ornament die from Memory Box, homemade gold ornament hook, and pop-ups for overall extra dimension. Oh...don't forget the glitter....there must be glitter during the holidays.

Head over to Paper Pretties and see the other DT's card projects!

Partners in Crime....(+ freebie svg)

at Catch the Bug
Theme: Black, Silver and Bling

Jodie's image, Bentley - on the inside,  gave me the inspiration for this card.  When something is broken, eaten or missing we know one of our beloved pets committed the crime...but no one's talking.  I married Bugaboo's  Bobblehead Farm Dog and Bobblehead Farm Cat.  I think they make the perfect pair!

I used a lot of black and silver foil paper and pop-ups for dimension.  Head over to Catch The Bug! Be dazzled and join the challenge.  )If you want the "jail bars" svg...just write me (email under profile) and I will send...don't leave message for it in comments box...it doesn't give me your email.)

A Day to Celebrate

What's not to love about a penguin? I want to squeeze one till a fish pops out of it's mouth...lol  I have a friend who's birthday is in January and loves penguins....so this has to be the perfect card.  But now that you have seen it Cheryl, I can't send it to you!

I really like this sketch.  It's headed to my archive files as a favorite.  I'll blow off the dust at some point and use again.

I hope you are chillin' at home or shopping your brains out this BLACK FRIDAY morning!  If you still have the strength, head over to Bugaboo Stamps  and get the FREE Penguin.  It won't cost a dime!  HAHA  Want some more inspiration...check out our Catch The Bug blog.

Lucky me.....I got the opportunity to CASE one of the DT's former cards.  I chose Dorte (April 13) to CASE. I stayed with the "Hotspot" technique and her sketch.  What fun!  I definitely think it is one my  all-time favorite techniques.  Head over to ABC Christmas Challenge Blog and see who else was Xerox-ed.  I know I certainly was inspired. Let's Talk Turkey

Let's Talk Turkey - Saturday Challenge
at Catch the Bug

I did a card almost exactly like this a few weeks back.  I sold the card and missed it so much, I had to make another one, but this time I used the darling Fancy SB Girl - Thanksgiving from Bugaboo Stamps.  As a matter of fact, by the time this post today, I hope the recipients have received it. I love this DP from DCWV - Harvest Gathering.  It's hard to see, but it's textured and the trees are gold foiled.  My turkey is coming from Bucky's BBQ....yum yum! Used an old stamp and SU markers, hoofed a few breaths on it, and got the pretty leave on envelope.

Grab a turkey leg and head to Catch The Bug for more interpretations of Let's Talk Turkey.
