Copic holder

Just a quick post to show my new invention for holding copics.  I had a container which was perfect, but ran out of run as my colors grew.

This is an old 11x14 frame with a cut egg crate (lighting fuser from Home Depot).  I saw something similar on another post but they built a huge wooden frame and made the egg crates 3 layers deep.  I didn't find that necessary. As you can see, I have plenty of room to grow.  The bottom row of copics keeps the frame at a nice angle.  I'm sure this will work for awhile until I find the next best thing.  This only cost $10 for the egg crate that was a HUGE piece which I only used a tiny corner.  (If I had been patience, I'm sure I could've found a scrap somewhere free...haha) I wish some of my copic friends lived near buy so I can share.  The copic holders in stores are costly.  No, it's not portable, but I rarely take them with me.  I'm a happy girl right now.

Thanks from bottom of my CUP

I'm using Birdbrain Needs Coffee from From the Heart Stamps.  I'm entering their Challenge #156 , sketch with a twist.  I'm doing both. I cut around the wing and head to pop out of the circle for a little extra eye candy.

I made  several of these cards but hung coffee cups from each "t".  My goodness!  I can never have enough "thank you" cards available at a moments notice.  I kept inside CAS, black and white.

A2, copics, Sizzix cup die, Simon Says THANKS die, Lil Inker Stitched circle dies, machine stitching, pop-ups for dimension

Happy Father's Day

I'm a little disappointed in the card but it has nothing to do with Bird's Card svg.  I think different papers would had been better.  No worries, the men in my life will appreciate the cards.

A2, blue base is not that bright

Tomorrow.....broccoli, but today....

From the Heart Stamps has a progressive monthly challenge.  Since I participated in last month's challenge I received this fun, delightful ice cream lineup set.  I'm joining this month's FTHS Challenge June 2016.

I kept it CAS since there was so much going on in the scene.  While it is CAS, I had a bugger of a time masking one of the Flappy Birds so she could hold the dishes of yummy ice cream.  Of course I colored my favorite flavors even though I can't eat ice cream.  I also added this fun ice cream cone paperclip I just purchased last week at Hobby Lobby.

A2, Glossy accents of the eyes and strawberry chips, wink of Stella on parts of the ice cream

Stitched die cut from Lil Inker, copics for coloring
I made three cards with different background paper

Headed to the beach (2nd post)

...well, in the near future!  I used this adorable From the Heart Stamps Spectacular Birdbrain last week and made several cut-outs, coloring each a little different.  I'm sooo into "beach mode" so I'm continuing with the theme but using one of the images to play along in the FTHS Challenge #155 with a twist.  I'm following the twist: a circle card.

I'm also entering Cut It Up Challenge #98. The theme is "sun & surf", but be sure to use a die.  Plenty of those here...wading birds, starfish, homemade beach fence, circle cut, glasses and cutting out the image...oops, let's not forget the clouds...haha

5" circle card.  I used pop-ups for dimension on clouds, bird and sunglasses.  Pop-up sunglasses will be removed for mailing but will easily re-stick once taken out of envelop.

I'm doing "twist" - circle card

Hugs and thank you

My oldest son and DIL surprised me with a new purse with my initials.  Quite the awesome surprise!  They might had been trying to cheer me up after the lost of dear Boo OR they saw my purse and realized I needed a new one..haha  Either way, it worked....I'm happy and I have a new awesome purse.  This is my "thank you" card I made for them.  It may look off-centered since I have not signed it yet.
I'm entering this in the QKR challenge #195.  The image is Natures Discovery.  The theme is "for a guy".  This is the thank you card I'm sending to my son for the purse.  I hope it qualifies.

A2, designed "hugs" in Design Studio and used my Cameo to cut.  Used PS and copics to color, homemade beads, grass die, Elizabeth Craft Charm Pull Die Set, eyelet

Oops, added ribbon to pull after I took picture.  There is another "thank" under the hippo

Happy Hour

Instant love for Chrissy's card.  I sorta cased her sketch, borrowed her sentiment, but changed the image. Image - digi 8503 Couch Potato.  I think it could pass as a pickle too..haha  I joining the QKR Stampede Challenge #195 - theme: guys.  Using copics, cord, and homemade dots, I call it done.  (This is SO my husband and brother!)

A2 - I can use as a birthday or "just because" theme card
PS....I just won this image last week!

Birthday Chicks

I wanted to revisited this cute "birthday chicks" From the Heart Stamps.  I'm joining their Challenge with a "twist" # 154.

Some of the details will be hard for you to see.  I printed the balloon twice and popped up for dimension. The Happy Birthday to you is a new die cut from Lawn Fawn.  I colored with copics.

BOO IS HOME!!!!!!!!

OMG! We got a call last night from our friend Laura Stanbro.  She had spotted Boo in the neighborhood that he went missing. (Far far away from our home.)  Boo would not come to her and ran.  By the time we got there, it was almost dark and no sign of him yet we continued to call out his name.  One last drive-by on the street he seemed to be seen. We stopped and got out of the car. My son Mitchell spotted a raccoon trap with something in it.......it was BOO!!!!! I had gone in the other direction and when Mitchell hollered that he found him, I started screaming....so much so the neighbors came out of their houses.
The Brock family had spotted Boo several times during the last week with no success of catching him. (We did not know he had been spotted) Anyway, they constantly talked to Laura and made the suggestion yesterday evening to bait the raccoon trap (no harm trap)....nothing to lose....so a can of yummy sardines was the lure.  Within 2 hours Boo took the bait.
I screamed and cried...well....we all did!
I look awful from all the crying but wanted to share the pics. Boo doesn't look anything like his pic after 1.5 weeks on the run.

I want to thank you all for the support, comments on my blog ,your thoughts and most of all...the prayers.

(PS...Boo's microchip never came into play but folks.....get your furry babies microchipped.)
Mitchell and Bonnie, Junior Brock, Me and Boo,Mrs. Brock, Mr. Brock  Much thanks to the Brocks and the thought of using their raccoon trap!

Another pull card QKR birthday

One last entry to the QKR Challenge #193.  I'm enjoying the pull card die set.  I think everyone enjoys an action card.  I'm going to make another card but with a "thank you" theme.  My son and DIL surprised me with a new purse with my initials.  I think they knew something like that would cheer me up OR they thought my purse was starting to look a little ratty...haha  Both things are true!
This is Nature Discovery from QKR. I masked the butterfly.

A2, grass die, metal cupcake die, Elisabeth Craft Charm Pull Die Set, eyelet and ribbon, PS and copics for coloring, jewel and cut image with my Cameo Silhouette
