Somebunny loves you

From the Heart Stamps Weekly Challenge is back!  We are all so elated that Faith is on the mends and back to warming our hearts with her talents.  Kudos to the design team for all their support and inspiration!

I chose to use the free sweet set Bunny Love.  I followed the sketch (see below).  The February Challenge #161 with a twist: sketch and/or birthday cake.

Copics, print and cut using my Cameo, a Sizzix scribble die I fell in love with after seeing Lola's card, some circle punches and I call it done.  I hope my little grandson will like it.

I also used a new Gina Maria oval x-cross die set

Hogs & Kisses Slider Card

What an exciting time!  Faith is back drawing and creating at From the Heart Stamps.  The design team celebrated by having a Blog Hop through February 5.  The Pigwit's Hogs & Kisses set was free to anyone who participated in last June's monthly challenge.  So the February progressive challenge this month....use this sweet image.

I used my Lil Inker circle dies, copics for coloring, Wink of Stella on the kisses, pop-ups for dimension and Cameo for print and cutting.  It's pretty straight forward on this little slider card.

A2 size, Lawn Fawn letter set, an extra pop-up kiss in Pigwit's hand

Remember all the good times we had?

(inside); No, Seriously, do you remember any of that stuff?!

I wish I could lay claim to the sentiment, but alas, I saw this on a card on my last beach trip.  I thought it was funny .... especially since I'm getting to the stage of forgetting things...haha

Anyhow, I just bought this sweet Hello Birdhouse Easel card from My Scrap Chick while on sale for $.70.   I had these adorable Surprise Birdbrain Birthday images from From the Heart Stamps, so I married the two.  THIS one WAS easy to put together once I knew what papers to use and knowing I wanted to keep the Fall theme.

Just chickin' in...

I'm wanting to send Faith, awesome creator of From The Heart Stamps, some fun "thinking of you" cards.  I know she is strong and following the doctor's orders.  We all wish her well and look forward to seeing her in the pilot seat again at From the Heart.

I made 4 cards using Flappy Birthday ...of course, but colored each chick a little different...must have some man cards, right?  The little charm says, "just for you".

A2, Lil inker stitched circles, chicken wire die, pink cord, charm and colored with copics.  I also colored the backside of the chick (including the underwear) on the inside of the card.  Also, glossy accents and glitter on face.  Cut chick out with Cameo.

You're Spectacular

I struggled with this card....only because my heart wasn't in it.  Still missing our Boo.  If anything was going to cheer me up, then it would have to be working with a From the Heart image and entering into some favorite challenges.  This is Spectacular Birdbrain by From the Heart Stamps.  I'm following the Challenge sketch #153 and twist (fussy cut image).  I'm also joining in on Cut It Up Challenge #97: any sketch and use a die cut....in this case, the sunglasses for the cut.

Coffee Coffee Coffee

It's been awhile since I've done any coffee theme cards. What a great time to revisit to join the From the Heart Sketch/Twist Challenge #152.  I used the Birdbrain Needs Coffee image. I chose to follow the "twist" by "enlarging and cropping" the image for the challenge. The 3 cardsI made are  pretty much the same but with 3 different sentiments and paper.

Hamlet in the Planter Pull Card

First, I'm not happy the way my card turned out.  I love Hamlet the Pigwit in the Planter from From the Heart Stamps.  I also love the "pull card" effect and the paper, but the flowery paper and all the flowers in the planter are just too busy and fight each other.  I will try and pull apart...wish me luck.

The From the Heart Stamps May 2016 Challenge is progressive.  Use this adorable image, join the challenge and if all rules are followed, you will receive the next month's image free.

A2, copics, bling stone, Sue Wilson die cut flower, 3-D pull card

Hamlet in Planter - Miss You

I re-did this card.  It is posted on the From the Heart May Challenge, but disappointed in the way it turned out.  The flowers on the image and paper clashed, so I ripped it apart. So now I revamped Hamlet the Pigwit in the Planter and followed the sketch for the From the Heart Weekly Challenge #151.  Now I'm much happier.

Apple Blossom Birds

Apple Blossom Birds digi set was free since I participated in the April From the Heart monthly challenge. I am doing the "twist" for the weekly challenge #107...no designer paper.  I'm also entering the card in the May Monthly Challenge.

I cut out the image 3 times and fussy cut the flower and leaves sections then used pop-ups for lots of dimension keeping the rest of the card CAS.
A2, copics for all coloring, Wink of Stella for center of flowers, pop-ups on 2 layers for lots of dimension.

Just a wee little note... (2nd post)

I wanted to enter two challenges: From the Heart Stamps #106 and From the Heart Stamps Monthly Challenge for April and needed some quick, fun, sweet "just a note" cards so I worked them all together in this creation.  I used the free image from the progressive challenge called Hamlet Pigwit Being Shy.

I "cased" my idea from Heather M, but used this week's sketch (see below). For my "own personal touch", I created the music note svg.

A2, copics, stitching, pop-ups for dimension, music note svg, white pen highlights

This is me.... (2nd posting)

...missing you!

I bought these new sentiments and immediately knew I had to use From the Heart Stamps Flappy Birthday Birdbrain, along with Doodle Pantry's Ageless Antiques 2. The window is one of my svgs that I turned into a jpeg file.

I am joining the From the Heart Challenge w/ a Twist #105.  I used the template.

Still a "Spring" thing (2nd posting)

I'm using the same sentiment as this morning's card.  Can you tell I'm REALLY HUNGRY for Spring?  I been collecting little bird feathers so images from From The Heart Stamps is a perfect place to use them for a little whimsy.

This is the free image Loves Me Birdbrain for participating in the January Monthly Challenge.  I'm entering it in February's Stamp of the Month challenge at FTHS and their weekly Sketch with a Twist Challenge #98....which is to choose any previous sketch and enjoy.

Birdbrain Snowman and friend

Alas, my youngest child left to return to college.  The house feels so empty when he leaves....that means happy place time to help fill the void....my craft room and time to catch up on last minute challenges.

This is Birdbrain Snowman from From the Heart Stamps.  I'm entering it into their Challenge 92, sketch with a twist.  I have a few friends that sentiment can "so relate"...how about you???

Happy Birthday Chicks

I'm in desperate need of birthday cards, so I have a goal of making 10 birthday cards by Sunday.  It's cold outside so what better time to make cards and sip on a cup of hot butterscotch cider!

The image is from From the Heart Stamps called Birthday Chicks.  I wish my legs were that skinny!  I'm entering the card in their Challenge #90  with a twist: follow the sketch and/or use scraps...I did both...love using scraps!

A2, all scraps except for base, added beads I melted and some stitching, copics coloring

more .... Winter Wishes

I think I'm skipping right over Christmas and going to straight snow and warm, cozy cards.  Even in the South, the cold weather has come in wayyyy to early!

I'm using the image WINTER FRIENDS from From the Heart Stamps.  I'm participating in their weekly sketch challenge with a twist #87.  I don't know what constitutes decorating the inside but I always try to add a "little something".   Not much color in snow so I used pearl snowflakes, diamond sickles and a green/blue plaid scarf to give added interest and texture.

JOY

This sweet image called Angel Joy is the November Stamp of the Month at From the Heart Stamps .  I received her free for participating in their October Challenge.  So, now I will use her for their November Challenge,  They are also having their "weekly challenge #86 with a twist" so I'm participating in that too.

A very CAS card letting Angel Joy be the center of attention.

A2, stitching, copics coloring, and lots of sickles on her wings and halo

Go Gamecocks

Ok...not a great start for the football season, but we love them.  Actually, we are a "house divided".  My youngest son lives and breathes Carolina....USC!

I have less than one hour to meet deadline for From The Hearts Challenge...use any past sketch.  I love the Birdbrain Football Fanatics.  See the sketch below that I used.

Facts about me and my coffee

2nd posting this morning!

Inside: I am only as strong as the coffee I drink, the hairspray I use and the friends I have....along with a steaming cup of coffee

Birdbrain Needs Coffee is from From the Heart Digital Stamps.   I wanted to make a coffee card and  join the Sketch with a Twist challenge #80 at From the Heart Stamps.  The twist: homemade embellishment  I designed the svg cups, cut them out and try to make it appear that they were hanging on a cup rack as my homemade embellishment.  I also followed the sketch.

A2 vertical, pop-ups for dimension and I made the coffee bean designer paper with an old coffee bean stamp..  I also used copics for the coloring. Svg cups were cut out using my Cameo

From the HEart Flappy Birdbrain...What's Up

I love this sketch so I'm using again, but with a little twist.  I'm also trying to meet another deadline.  I kept scratching my head as to how to approach the From the Heart Challenge...follow the sketch or twist which is to use something recycled.  Well, I took pics of me using pony beads and melting them down in the oven to use as enamel dots.  The pony beads weren't serving any use, but changing them into useful dots made a lot of sense.  I just accidentally erased the procedure of me baking.  It didn't smell up the kitchen too much since my DH and I opened up the windows. Anyhooo....very pleased with the results and hope From the Heart Stamp team will consider the beads, turned into useful dots as my recycled item.  (Still mad that I erased the pics!)

I also split up the images from Flappy Birdbrain and placed one of the outside and one on the inside and eliminated the thrid with masking....the beauty of digital!

A2 vertical, pine tree die, my homemade dots from old pony beads, colored the tring orange, cloud punch, pop-ups for dimension
