Still have some swag in my wag!!!

.......I don't know what came over me when I thought of this sentiment for the card.  Well, maybe I do....I have a big birthday coming up in March that I'm not looking forward to but I guess it is better than the alternative!  Sometimes I feel like I'm the same age as when I was in college, then I take a REAL good look in the mirror....haha

I am going to enter this is in The Spotted Chick Krafty Thursday Challenge #46. I had to write Jeanie twice to understand where and what to do.....I may still have some swag in my wag, but some of my noodles are missing!

A2 size
Kraft Paper - just for Jeanie
Bugaboo Stamp
Stitching, copics, bone punch and ribbon

Challenges:
Spotted Chick Krafty Thursday: Kraft Paper

Flower Soft and Challenges

I made a card similar to this about 4 days ago, but wanted to improve upon it and meet the ribbon requirements for my first Art Impression challenge.  I also added  just a tad of "flower soft" along with the ribbon, border svg from Svgcuts set called Celeste's Cutesy Corners, trellis stamp from Art Impressions and wisteria and vine stamps from Rubber StampTapestry I added a close-up hoping you could see my flower soft....first time using it.  I'm also entering this in the Sew Many Cards and Alotarubberstamps challenge.

A2 size card

Other challenges:

Alotarubberstamps: Spring

Sew Missing You

I am entering this into the Catch The Bug  ATC challenge.  I was to make a 3.5 x 2.5 card.  I used the bugaboo image sew sunbonnet girl.....she's adorable!  This is the first card and challenge I have ever done like this.  Used some stitching, copics, a button and called it done!

Went on a trip and hopped all the way!

....that's right....I went on a trip through a blog hop. So much inspiration down that road.  I have really wanted to do some scrapbooking and after visiting the sites, that goal is a little closer.  Take the opportunity to take the trip too HERE.

Nurse Angel (+ freebie svg)

I couldn't resist the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge for the chance to win some Bugaboo images, working with a fun template, getting so much inspiration from the DT members and the Bugaboo image was perfect to create a card for my future DIL who's a nurse anesthetist....she could send it to a friend or family member. I added diamond glaze to the medicine bag after I took the picture. ( Also entering the Do you Stack Up and Sew Many Cards challenge.)

5x5, stitching, nestabilities, copics

Silly simple medicine bag
(I made 3 tiny ones to put where the three circles are on the card for something different.)

Think Spring...ok...and bugs too (2nd posting)

I lied.....I'm doing one more card for the Catch the Bug Winter White challenge.  I used WOB Ant  and sat him atop a FFS tulip image (can't remember what this stands for...let me know if you know).  I won the one time 75% off Bugaboo stamps and I am making my list; however, "free" is also wonderful so that's why I'm still trying in the challenges and the big fact that I love making cards with my bugaboo images! ( I will be adding a little sentiment on bottom right when the time arises.)

A2 size, stitching, copics, embellishments
Challenges:
Catch the Bug: Winter Whites
Moving Right Along: Spring
Fab N Funky: use a digi
Hodge Podge: White on White

Spring is in my thoughts

I made this card last night with my new little stamps from Rubber Tapestry.  I was ready to do something Springy...is that a real word?  Anyhoooo...thought I would enter it in the Freshly Brewed Designs Challenge #32.  A photo with my colors was the inspiration.   I used a Svgcuts floral vine from the  Celeste's Cutesy Corner set.  My goal was to have wisteria wrapped around the trellis which is from Art Impressions.  I threw in two tiny dragonflies for fun.   The inside says.....for Spring days to be here soon!

Challenges:
Freshly Brewed Designs: photo spring colors
Paper Pretties:  sewing

a little note.... (and freebie)

One more card for the "Wintery Whites" challenge at Catch the Bug.  I can't tell you how many times I have used this wonderful bear butterfly.  This time I made him a "snow bear" by leaving him white.  Jodie and the crew at Bugaboo might ban me from using him...haha  I put the image on a "note" svg I made from a public domain image....did a little sewing,  cuttlebug embossing folders, pop-ups and a little $1 stamp from Michaels. I had such a fun time making it....quick and easy too.

Sending lots of Flurries of Love....

I enjoyed making this card so I made 5 more.  My goal is to make a Christmas  card every month on the 25th.  So, on the inside, I will say something like...."during this holiday (or Christmas) time".  I made the hearts (doubled the cardstock), embossed, glittered the dots and used pop-ups along with changing the position of the bow and doing a little more stitching.

I made 2 more different cards, but I will not post until tomorrow or later this week for a challenge.  I'm still working on the rest of the zodiac images svgs.

Sending a Flurry of Love....

.......ok....more like a blizzard to some of my friends!!!

First, I had so much fun this past week at Catch the Bug while helping celebrate their 1st birthday.  The hop was loaded with ideas, inspiration was abundant and SO many super prizes.  I was the lucky number drawn to place a one time order with a 75% off coupon....now how fantastic is that!!!

The latest Catch the Bug challenge is to show your "Winter Whites".  I used the adorable Winter Fairy. I used diamond glitter on her wings, boots and snowflakes, and heart but it doesn't show well in the picture.

A2 size, stitching, hint of copics and some embellishments
Other Challenges:
Craft you Days Away: Love
Reasonable Ribbon: Ribbon and heart
Hodgepodge: White on White

Fairy of JOY

I could not resist using this image and this sentiment being this is my last challenge card for Catch the Bug 1st Birthday Challenge.  In hopes not to offend too many people, I "bleeped" a letter from the "inside of the card".  Stella Fairy has the best intentions....in that she wants you to have LOTS and LOTS of HAPPINESS!

The inside has a picture of a wand and reads as follows....

I remember seeing something like this a long time ago.  I use this saying and change it around to suit my needs for illness, birthdays, having a bad day, etc.  There is lot's of glitter but can't be seen in the picture. I also used a MS punch, copics, and embellishments....and my somewhat sense of humor.

PS I totally scraplifted the template and colors from Jami (Scrap Happy).  Thank you Jami.

Flowers for your birthday

Catch the Bug has had an awesome week celebrating it's 1st birthday.  It's not too late to jump in and participate AND get some images for 60% off....isn't that fantastic!!!  I so enjoy putting my svgs with Bugaboo stamps.  Due to being a little under the weather, I did not do that this week.  But nonetheless, I get so much inspiration from Jodie's adorable images, Tammy and Rae Anne heading up as coordinators and the phenomenal design team.

I used Rubber Tapestry stamps for all the tiny flowers, a border punch, Fancy Sunbonnet Bride image from Bugaboo stamps, stitching, and copic markers.  The lighting threw the color of the prima flowers off and caused the soft violet and pink in image to almost disappear.
I am going to post one more birthday card this evening using Stella....I must do one more of the fiesty little lady...but  will be more kind and gentle in my sentiment or maybe not....

Challenges:

Mispelling on Gus and Stella card!!!

My friend Janice notice a mispelling on my Gus and Stella card...she and I blame it on me not feeling well.   It should read "you've" instead of "you're" on the card for Wednesday for the Bugaboo challenge.  Oops..sorry about that...and thanks so much Janice for telling me! I'm so glad it's an easy fix on my cards I made....haha

2011-01-19

The problems you're confided in us

.....are not all as bad as they seem.

OPEN UP and the inside reads:

The card is for the Catch the Bug Birthday Blog Hop Wednesday Challenge.  We were to use the following template.  The Bugaboo image of Gus and Stella is HERE.  I used stitching, gems, copics, PSE and circle punches for the A2 card. Amen!

Love Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Candy (2nd posting today)

All of the items in this prize assortment can be found on the Really Reasonable Ribbon website. Along with our huge selection of ribbon, you can also find lots of great adhesive items, the Scor-Buddy Mini Scoring tablet, and many great embellishments. Be sure to stop over at our website today and take a look around.

Check the site out....can't believe all the goodies!

Blooming Child....I am a flower child

......saw this little poem (author not given) and thought this would be cute with the free digi from Bugaboo.  (Click image so it will enlarge and you can read poem.) I "played down" that she was a clown and emphasized she was a flower child....like me back in the late 60's....haha

This was a real challenge because I don't like clowns (don't hate me) and I'm still a cold, cough, sneezing, aching, sniffle human being.....haha  cough cough sniff sniff

The background image is from a set by Trina Clark called "Garden Time".  The challenge is for Catch The Bug Birthday Blog (Tuesday).

Stitching, copics, PSE, A2 size, Deloris gift or ribbon, rhinestones,  pearls, glitter
I started the poem different ways from it's original. .....
" I'm your little flower, Dad. ... and then I also typed
" I'm your little flower.....   (can use for anyone)

If You'Re FeeLing bLue... (2nd posting today)

....try Painting YourseLF a diFFerent COLOR.

I love this little sentiment. This is my 2nd challenge card for Catch the Bug 1st Birthday Challenge (just for Monday). I incorporated SU stamp Upsey Daisy and placed two different butterfly bears by Bugaboo on the flowers.  I attempted to sorta magnify them.  (I thought the gingham britches would be fun.)  I kept the inside simply red and not color the bears....so I did that on purpose if you are wondering if Cely lost her mind and forgot to color...nope....it was on purpose....haha

Copic markers, PSE coloring, stitching, embellishments

close up on my attempt to magnify

Inside of card (I always use extra paper inside so receiver can use too)

Challenges:
Catch the Bug : blue and white (just Monday)

Still looking.... (plus freebie Leo svg)

...for that road to clear skies and warm weather!
I "re-did" the Bugaboo bear stamp.  I wanted to try using scrap from a button package to use as the shaker part of the card, add the sentiment on the picture rather than adding later and keeping the background exactly the same and I wanted to send about 3 of the cards to friends.  There are still a few kinks to get out, but I'm enjoying the challenge.  And, this card will be in the Catch the Bug Monday Challenge to help celebrate Bugaboo's 1st birthday.  Requirements: use blue and white.  I think the first one I did the other day is more do-able in the mail and will not cost extra postage.  I'm going to try and do another card for the challenge between my coughs and sniffles.

A2size, svgcuts background, snowflakes (Hobby Lobby) MS snowflake punch.

I am still working on the zodiac symbols.  These 2 were free public domain images.  I cleaned them up and made into svgs.  I wouldn't make them smaller than I have them.  Each one only has two pieces.  A quick cut for a great school project or birthday.

Happy Birthday from......

....the bottom of my heart!

I have written Jodie for forgiveness and permission to take the arrow out of Stella's Valentine image to make a birthday card to celebrate Bugaboo's 1st birthday and put her in the Catch The Bug 1st Birthday Challenge.  The sentiment came to me at 4:30 this morning while I couldn't sleep because I have a nasty cold and cough.  ( The silver heart is too big for card, but I really wanted to use it...trying like everyone else to use old stash.)

2nd pot today ( Bugaboo is having a 1st birthday)

...That's right....a birthday for Bugaboo  (Catch the Bug)stamps.  You will see that I use a lot of their stamps.  It's a wonderful wonderful site you must visit.  And....right now....for a few days....all stamps are on sale for 60% off.  Ladies, this is a great place...please go, look around, even try the blog hop and see all the great talent.  It's a must!!!

A Drink A Day....

....keeps reality at bay!
For the life of me I can't remember where I bought this cute little image the other day.  I always put the name with the image, but I was on my laptop, it was late, and I wasn't feeling well.....ok...that's my excuse, but let me know if you know.  ( This card is going to my friend that lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC....Carola...no peeking!)
Headed to Bugaboo Birthday Hop Challenge and a hop that Celeste is in.  I'll post back and put a link.

A2 size, copic markers, 2 different punches, paper from Paper Studio.

I'm on my way to where there ain't no snow!

.......Yup, is there such a place besides Florida?  I guess I need to go visit Celeste in Panama City Beach ...haha    This is my first time trying a homemake shaker box.  It was fun and easy.  I see where I can improve upon it, but all in all, I'm satisfied.  I used a bugaboo Butter fly Bear digi, PSE to color and a free svg image from Svgcuts, that I changed into a jpep.  I embossed the snowflake and added some glitter.  It will go into the Catch The Bug Challenge as well as ones listed below.

Boop Boop a Doop Betty Boop

I made this for my sister who is nutz about Betty Boop......go figure!  I forgot to label who gave me the svg (let me know), but I also found the same one at Vectorart (Blindblues 46 illustrator) for free so I will also give credit there too.  I changed a tad, and cleaned it up to make it more user/cut friendly.  I do my best to cut my svgs before offering.  If it doesn't cut well for me and I'm not happy, then a follower will not be happy.....I want YOU happy!  I will also post because I cleaned it up, welded pieces together for ease of putting together and gave credit.
I added red rhinestones, button, MS punch, A2 size. Glossy Accents on lips)
I tried to turn her into a little hotty

Showering with Love

I plan to use this as a birthday card for a friend.  However, it could certainly be used for a Valentine's card. This House Mouse stamp is sorta old, but those little faces never tire me out.  I used PSE for coloring and my copic markers for other coloring.  You might say I was experimenting along with the frame effect.  Boy I have a lot to learn.  It's late....headed to bed, to bed, to bed I said.

Challenges:
Bunny zoes crafts: Love is in the Air
Paper Play Challenge: Clean and Simple

Pisces symbol

Actually, there are a lot of different zodiac symbols the the months, but I like this one, especially if I decided to cut on my Cricut Expression.  ( I will be posting a card later for a challenge, but in the mean time, here is the svg.)  I also colored it using PSE if you want to right click and save.

My future DIL has an adorable pug and my niece is biting at the bit to have one.  I just made this little pug this morning....somewhat happy the way he turned out.  I used pop-ups behind the  pug. I used 2 MS punches, one of which also embosses.  The svg is about 4.25" by 3.75". I do not plan to post this particular svg at this time. (Update:  I scraplifted Deloris' colors and design...I liked it so much...check it out HERE.)

Filling in for Cupid.... (+ freebie)

......so deal with it!  Yup, Stella is a sassy little old bitty and says things sometimes I wish I was brave enough to say....haha  The heart color and the glitter really  look much better in person than in the pic. I was in hurry to post.  I'm "into" pink these days I guess because of Valentine's Day approaching soon and then I got to thinkin'......Stella driving down the road in a Pink Cadillac singing the song, " Pink Cadillac", so I put the two together for my card and the freebie svg.

I know I will enter her in the Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge using embossing and Mark's Finest Paper's Challenge.  The silver heart doesn't exactly go with Stella, but I have a lot of these little hearts and it's my card so I can do anything I want...got a little "Stella" in me tonight!!!

5" square, diamond embossing folder, copic markers, embellishment, glitter, MS punch

We had a black cadillac like this when I was a little girl...no pink ones..haha

Celeste is having a Blog Candy...

Yup...she's celebrating her birthday....how sweet is that.  Easy peasy for a chance to win.....jump on over to Touched By A Butterfly.  In the mean time, take a look at the goodies she is giving away.  Ok....I signed up too because this girl here could always use some blog candy herself and it's non fattening.

I'm working on some cards that I've been wanting to color for a loooooong time, but then I miss all the fun things happening on the blogs...like Celeste and Cheryl's blog candies.  What's a girl to do!  Remember to stop by Cheryl's too at Cafexpression for a chance at her blog candy..

OK...svg freebie tonight....I promise.  I'm also working on some fun ones too.

Life is a bowl of cherries

I took my first copic markers class last night and this little girl was our "red" project.  The first thing we did was to color some apple images.  There's a new kind of paper called "Express It" from Australia that copic marker users are raving about.  I used it on the girl and my regular paper I use (110 lb. Exact Index by Wasau).  I am an amateur so at this point I won't be buying the more expensive "Express It", especially with all the boo boos I make....haha

Reds are hard to work with...they can turn orange on you

If you feel like leaving a comment and tell me which apples or paper look the best.  Frankly, I think mine (the cheapest paper looks just as good, but I'm prejudice...haha) Some of this paper can get real expensive.

I will try an post an svg later this evening...I was a busy girl today...haha

You Moose Go Fishin' when you feel better

Our good friend Harry just had surgery.  He and his wife live near the beach.  He loves to fish when he can find the time.  He taught me the love of fishing and the art of shrimping...Folks, it's not easy....just go buy the shrimp off the trawler when it comes in...heads on and heads off.  There's also the art of poppin' heads off without being pronged.  His wife Carola is quick and speedy in this process.  If there was a contest, I think she could win.
Anyhoooo.... we wish Harry a speedy recovery and can't wait till the weather warms up as well so we can all go fishing.

Meljen Design...my personal comment to Harry
A2 size card, copic markers, sewing, pop-ups for dimension

I will try to post an svg later this evening.

My blog Has Attitude Award (2nd posting today)

Cheryl First has nominated me as one of her 5 people to hand down this award to.  Wow!  Thanks Cheryl! I wonder if I can give it right back to her?  She's got some pretty lively things happening on her blog that inspire me.

First, I have to tell you three things that make me different from anyone else....

1) I'm a beach lover ....forever and ever and ever.  Even my profile to the right helps proclaim my love for the beach, the water, surf, sand and smells...even the stinky smells that might come with it...haha

2) I'm a retired high school teacher (33 years) from the high school that "I" went to....so you can say I spent most of my life there, but I'm enjoying my new found freedom (called retirement) and REALLY enjoying it.  I still substitute, administered SAT and ACT to special students and love making cards and substituting for a class of Traumatic Brain Injury/ Autism.  The head teacher and her two assistants are awesome people.  And, the money is pretty dog gone good to help support my craft addiction.

3) Everyone needs a bucket list so I'm starting mind...starting with visiting countries I've never seen and even some states I've never visited.  I also want to meet people I've become good friends with through blogs that share my fun and silly passion for card creations.

4) I wasn't suppose to have a number 4, but oh well...my son is getting married May 28...great...can't wait for grandchildren.  I want them before the people running the "old folks home" won't let me hold them....haha

I'm sending the 5 awards (in no particular order) to the following ladies who have all inspired me, helped me, encouraged me, politely criticized me, shared with me, found things for me and/or just "jam up" good people ...

Aries the Ram (freebie svg)

Here is the second of 12 zodiac symbols.  I colored with PSE (Photo Shop Elements 8).  My friend Cheryl convinced me to"stick with it" and learn how to color using the program.  As mentioned earlier, the svg or digi could be used for a card or school project.

Pieces you will see in SCAL or MTC
