Hangin' Here just to say "HI"!

All little boys I've been around enjoy acting like little monkeys.  My brother is now 70 and I can remember as if it was just yesterday that he was acting like a monkey.  When I remind him of the 'good ole days', he'll give me a monkey face and sound.  He still makes me laugh.

Anyhow, Cut It Up Challenge #183 with the theme wood(s) brought back old memories which inspired me to build this card, but it will go to my grandson....not my brother.LOL  (However, I have sent him plenty of monkey cards..haha)  Now you know my secret, unless it is a seasonal card, past memories inspire my cards 90% of the time.

Every bit of this card was made using die cuts.  I bought the monkey set from Aliexpress, but when I went to get a link for my blog, the page was gone.

A2, copics for clouds and face, Paper Smooches sentiment, pop-up dots for

It's Been Nuts Doodle Pantry (more)

Yup...another card with Just Nutty from Doodle Pantry.  And yup...another shaker card.  This time I put in some nuts from the set into the shaker area and used door insulation for the separation in the shaker area.  It worked great but it will cost and extra $.20 to mail, but a small price to pay to put a smile on someone's face.  Unless I'm ordering crafting goodies, the rest is a bill or ad in MY mailbox.

It's truly been a little nuts around here.  I just got back from another mini vacation to the beach and I'm a little behind in my chores and in commenting and making cards.

PS...Still a few days left to join our fun September Doodle Pantry Challenge #50.

A2 vertical, insulation for shaker area, jewels and beads, brad eyelet, raffeta, faux stitching, acetate clear sheet white highlights

Peace on Earth

It could also be a silent night. After the snow has fallen, do you notice how quiet, almost silent, the air is around you?   It's a wonderful, blissful feeling that comes over me each time.  Of course, the next day comes the children screaming and playing and the sound of snow shovels and snow blowers.  But for those first few hours after the snow has fallen, well, it's a wonderful quietness.

My brother and SIL live in Little Compton, RI...little beach community with woods and deer.  You can sit quietly, look out their window and see the deer.  A beautiful winter scene.

I made the window and the dimensional tree in Silhouette Studio.  I do not plan to change the tree into an svg, but it you have any type of Silhouette machine, just email me (don't ask in the comment box below because it does NOT give me your email) and I will be happy to send.

Tree Stump and Puppy Dog

There is a lovely public domain clip art site that gives me ideas.  There's one particular person named "Tim"(never a last name), that puts a lot of free, public domain art on this site.  This is one of his pieces that I redesigned, added and subtracted and made into an svg.  What I would put above the tree stump is a sweet, little fluttering butterfly.  I plan to make a card and make the puppy sorta spotty and add a little grass. Of course the pieces could always be used separately for other things.

Hope you enjoy! I enjoy comments!

It's a "Jungle" out there !

Lots of little wild animals from Svgcuts.com Cuddly Animals and Cuddly Animals II sets.  This little jungle tree just might come in handy for a little extra back drop.  I am also showing a pic of what it should look like when you break it apart in SCAL.  Since it is an svg, you can take it into ANY program that cuts svgs.  ENJOY!  I love comments.

Hammock - Lazy Days of Summer

Nice breeze today....time for a nap in the hammock....not just any hammock, but a Pawley's Island hammock.  I put the set together under one svg and you can break apart. I will put a Peachy Keen face on the sun.  I will post my card tomorrow.

Pistachio Salad - Summer Yum (Part 2 of 3)

Today's addition to the salad is a pistachio nut.  I will emboss the little nuts and add shadowing along with  faces.  Download HERE for the pistachio nut.  Stayed tuned...hehe
I am doing my first challenge with Sketch and Bubbles (snbshop.blogspot) .  I was to use this Fluffy Bird.  I also used a tree svg I created, copic markers, and punches along with the swinging monkey stamp.

Peach pickin' time (Part 2 of 4)

Peach trees are generally only about 9 - 12 feet tall.  A late spring frost will wipe out the entire crop....but not this year...hooray!  The bees are free and yes, they sting! Download HERE for peach tree.
