It was real! I had a blast!

I always have a good time with my friend chicks.  Ok...probably not to this extreme, but maybe close to it at times...haha
I saw this darling Martini Chicks at From The Heart Stamp Store and knew the set was the one I wanted when I was lucky enough to win on a blog hop.  Yippee!

I am participating in the From The Heart Sketch Challenge with a "twist".  I'm doing the sketch and the twist...buttons.  I made the olive svg. OOPS...I just saw the DP at an angle..oh well...I did the buttons!

Happy Birthday Laura

It's my last card for Laura's birthday.  I enjoyed trying a pop-up box card.  I found it fun.  The template came from Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette Store, along with the cork screw, balloons, one of the wine bottles, grapes and wine glass.

It folds flat to fit an A2 envelop.  I put 12 cents extra postage for the thickness.

Happy Birthday

...to my friend Laura!

Fab 'n Funky is having a fun challenge starting today with the theme being"Walk on the wild side"  (animals) and being sponsored by Doodle Pantry.

My friend Laura loves giraffes.  She even has a 15 ft. metal giraffe in her front yard...really cool!  For me, I felt I kept the card CAS.  Jiggles Giraffe is from Doodle Pantry.  What a cutie...love love him/her!!!  The set has so many images and sentiments, along with extra elements.  Don't forget that Doodle Pantry's July Challenge continues so head on over and check out the great card creations.

Winter Blessings, My Friend!

My first winter holiday card for the year....I hear a big hooray coming on!!!  This Winter Friends set is from From the Heart.  I received it for participating in the last month progressive challenge.  Isn't it a sweetie!   I'm now going to join From The Heart July Stamp Of the Month Challenge with this card.

I'm enjoying the Pop-Up dies from Sizzix.  I made some on my Silhouette Cameo, but sometimes "quick" is the magic word for me.  I bought this DP from My Mind's Eye two years ago and just now able to rip it open...haha  I dared not take the challenge of sewing around all the scallops, so no stitching this time...lol

Coolest Birthday Ever...

I saw this darling image over at my friend Linda's blog and had to jump in and participate in the progressive challenge at Deedee Digis.  I cut this little fella out with my Cameo, leaving a small border around him.  Another friend is approaching her 49th birthday....so I hope she likes the card.

Pop-up cards are always a challenge for me to photograph.  I gave it my best shot...lol  Buttons, stitching, heart dies, string, glossy accents, ribbon, copic markers and I call it done.

Thank You card

I'm still on vacation at the beach.  I'm having a wonderful, fun, yet relaxing time.  I made this card right before I left for the beach.  It is for my son and wife.  They gave me an awesome gift certificate to Hobby Lobby.  The die cut card maker to make this card is what I spent some of my money on.  Gosh, it makes a fun, quick card in no time......worth every penny with a coupon...haha

I'm using Doodle Pantry's "AccentAnts" .  I so love these little critters...of course...only on cards...lol. The Doodle Pantry Challenge for July continues so hope to see you there.  Hard to use iPad so I didn't use link ups...sorry.

How I love carousels....

....and sea creatures even more!

The Carousel Seahorse set is new for July at Doodle Pantry.  The set comes with matching papers, sentiments, an outline, as well as, pre-colored sea horse images.  I chose the pre-colored image for my card.  The carousel is from the Silhouette Store. I used lots of pop-ups for fun dimension. It looks a little plain, but I thought adding designer paper would take away from the simplicity of the card.

Join us for the Doodle Pantry July Challenge #48 with the theme being Christmas or "Make a Splash".  What a great opportunity to have fun, inspire others and have the chance to win a gift certificate to the Doodle Pantry Store.

I'm going out on a limb here and participate in the Cut I Up challenge with the theme being "Under The Sea".  Well, they ARE seahorses I'm using.  I was always told to use my imagination....haha

A2, used Fiskar cloud punches, jewel for top of flag pole. Cut shadows using my Silhouette Cameo.   Oops...mustn't forget my stitching.

Man cannot discover new oceans..

....unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore - Andre Gide

Continuing with Doodle Pantry's Challenge #48 theme - Christmas or Make a Splash.  Iinspired by Kitty Kraft, I did monochromatic blue sea/water theme and somewhat case her card.  I changed a few things from my last blog post....but not much too...just enough to continue to enjoy the sea shells.

The Challenge will continue through the month of July, so hop aboard ship and play along.

A2 horizontal, added fence and cat tails die cuts.  Used deckled scissors and tore paper to represent the sand dunes.

A Shell In Your Pocket....

....sand in your shoe

Doodle Pantry's Challenge #48 theme is "Christmas or Make  A Splash".  There are a few new releases I know you will want to check out.  I chose to revisit the Sea Shell Set from Doodle Pantry. Most people know I am a "die-hard" water/beach kinda gal so I chose to work with the Make A Splash theme.

I used some of the pre-colored sea shells, along with seagulls and grass die cuts.  I tore paper and distress edges and inked the paper to make an ocean and sand backdrop.

Join us for July's Doodle Pantry Challenge #48 - Christmas or Make a Splash. You'll have lots of fun, get inspiration and have a chance to win a set.

There is a 40% sale from July 1 - 7, (some exclusions do apply).
