Yup, I could order Tim Holtz brick embossing folder, but I thought I would make my own.  So I made a vertical and horizontal faux brick embossing folder to meet my needs.

I have a few pictures here to share showing the end result.  I felt a video would be easier than writing all the steps.  I'm such a visual person!

Thanks for the great tutorial. I must try that. Funny how your tut came just when I was trying to make brick work with the Scor Pal. lol
Also, nice to put a voice with your face. That is such a bonus; just makes you that much more personal.

  18. Question ..I was watching your video of faux brick embossing folder tutorial . first of all I'm deaf. I need to know what is that brown mat you were using onto this hard broad box ? This is amazing idea . I would LOVE to try it.

  19. For Joy....Joy, the brown rubbery thing is just a scrap of a rubber gasket repair kit from Home Depot. Many people buy the embossing mat that is made for the Cuttlebug, but I'm cheap and the rubber repair gasket kit is cheaper and you get several pieces. I hope you see this comment because you did not leave me an email address to write.
