Beeutiful Beehive Svg Cut File

I still have friends that are under the weather so this card was still warm when I mailed it out..haha

I think I have moved on to bees this week.  I love yellow, and my yellow daffodils are about to bloom.  I love happy bees like these.  This file is called Beeutiful Beehive Svg Cut File from Doodle Pantry.  I totally cased my friend Lola at Little Card Maker, but can't find the exact post.

The only thing I did a little different was the face.  I used Peachy Keen stamps.

A2, I wish you could see the beautiful glitter wings.  The sentiment is Lawn Fawn Clear Alphabet.

Today starts the Doodle Pantry Challenge #3 Ants in the Pantry.   The theme is "Anything Goes".  Come join the fun and a chance to win a GC to the Doodle Pantry. Store.

Mary Hannah's Valentines for classmates

Mary Hannah is now 15 months old.  She has 7 classmates.  My son and DIL asked me to make something for her classmates for Valentines. They gave me a Pinterest project they liked and I did my own interpretation.

Instead of just a tag, I made the fruit cup holder.  They will have little cups of mandarin oranges in each.  The face is from Peachy Keen. I used watercolor pencils for eyes, MS heart border punch and Stampin Up Window punch.

Old Door...Watts up...You brighten my day

Two entirely different themes today.  First, a pic of my shabby chic door. Friends wanted to see what I did with the old orange door.  My style is "eclectic" too say the least.  I wanted something to hide part of the refrigerator that was next to our dining area.  I started off with a completely different idea but this is the end result.  The top area for glass I haven't decided upon....frost etched glass or leave empty.

Tomorrow, I will show you my homemade table and shabby chic dining chairs.  My son says they are ghetto and embarrassed by them when he brings friends over to the house...haha

The last 2 pics are some fun, quick cards I made using My Creative Time "You're Brilliant" stamp and die set.  However, I used the filament image from Mama Elephant.  Oops...an Peachy Keen faces.

This pic was taken after I had clean the door and patched.  I worked on this at a neighbors house while our house was being built.

if you look carefully you can see a slow cooker of pinto beans cooking..haha and a piece of one of my ghetto chairs as my son says

another angle.  I set some Fall wine glasses in cubby where I usually have more wine on display.  The light works by the way and I love the old glass door know

A2 vertical, stitching and faux stitched border on right, wet embossing, homemade dots, silver glitter for tips of bulbs

my own handwriting for "watts up", Peachy Keen faces...boy, it's been awhile since I've used those

BEE-utiful day for a birthday!

Warm days last week got our flowers and trees a bloomin! I haven't seen bees, but with flowers blooming, it's just a matter of time.

Our friends in Charleston share a March birthday with me.  Harry just completed a course in "bee keeping", so I thought this theme would be appropriate for his special day.  I love the little honeycomb and bee charm I won on Ebay.

I was inspired by a sketch found on Pinterest and a cut file at the Silhouette Store.  I used a Peachy Keen face stamp, along with a honeycomb embossing folder for wings, EK punches and twine.

Tags for Rehearsal Party...

....just a little catch up after the wedding.  So many things for me to do....so far behind.  These are just some of the tags for foods at the rehearsal party.  Tags were suggested by friends in recognizing some snacks and desserts.   (I included my pretzel that I posted a while back.)  All desserts were homemade, made by me or friends.

Svg is from Treasure Box Designs and Peachy Keen faces.

My own svg.  Placed in bowl of M&M Pretzels....disappeared by end of party.

My own simple svg...leaf from svgcuts set Strawberries, punch for grapes.

Cake svg from Svgcuts from set "Birthday Elements".  Removed the candle from file. The pineapple svg was my creation.

Cake svg from Svgcuts from set, "Birthday Elements". (removed the candle nodes.) Peachy Keen face.

Cutie Patootie Blog Hop

This is the first blog hop I have ever participated in....so hold on to see some cutsey projects and places to go.  The theme is "cutsey"....the cuter, the better!!  There's lots of blog candy to grab along the way as well as prizes.  One request for the big prizes is that you leave a comment on every blog listed below....we will be checking.  I don't have any candy to give away, but I can offer the water can svg I used to make my shaped card. If I get 30 or more comments, I will randomly choose a winner and send you any two svgs from my blog of your choosing. If you have been following the blog hop, then you should have just come from ANGIE. To start the hop, you should go HERE.  I'm the last blog on the hop.....and this little bunny is tired!

I made the water can svg and I made a black shadow of the can in SCAL. The bunny was a freebie from Treasure Box Designs.  I love their svgs....great price and clean cuts. The daffodils are from my yard.....haha   If you look closely (by clicking on picture) I applied Liquid Pearls for the silver rivets. Other embellishments: MS and Punch a Punch fern and leaf punches, copic markers, Peachy Keen stamps, DCWV Citrus Pad, and embossing folders.

Two pictures: one with and one without the whiskers

Fits into a 5x7 envelop - with whiskers

Svg will be available until blog hop is over.

Some days are just the PITS !

My son just came home with his first "ticket". I was minding my own business, in my own happy place (craft room) making a sweet card and then the "blue paper" was lay down over my pretty designer paper for me to see. As a retired teacher, I always exhibited much patience and restrained with other people's children.  Well, the rule doesn't usually apply in my own home.  I had scissors in hand, but he had two friends as witnesses, so I counted to 10 and then said "my peace".  He would have to pay in many ways down the road, but the first payment was for me to hand him the phone so he could call his dad at work.  "But Mom, he's working, that will make him mad," as my son pleaded his case. "Yup", I said, "but I only have your best interest at heart.  If you remember the old slogan for selling telephones..."reach out and touch someone", then trust me. Dad would love to reach out through that phone and touch you!!!! Call him now while there is distance between you and him and he will be over the initial shock by the time he gets home this evening."  He made THE call!
Using my craft tape, the ticket now hangs neatly on the refrigerator door....perhaps I should add some embellishments.  It stands for blackmail, lots of extra chores he won't be paid for, leverage on many levels, and a prayer card. A prayer card you may ask? (I wouldn't tell him, but maybe my guardian angel (or his) stepped up to the plate to see that he got this ticket to save him from something worst that could had happened in the future....just a precaution..to help him refocus.)
I finished this card and svgs instead of the other sweet card that I had been working on. It's dedicated to his/mine/dad's bad day and reminding me "Some days are just the PITS!"

( I used Peachy Keen faces on the Pits.)

See you then!

2nd posting today and 2 challenges

My 2nd posting today.  Please scroll down to see "School Bells" and svg freebie.  Card below is for 2 challenges.  OWH wants you to use some design paper.  Peachy Keen stamps Challenge #34 wants you to use the template below. (I will not add sentiment until ready to use.) I'm using my pumpkin kids again, but shrunk them down to fit the template, changed collars, embellishments, leaves are from SVGCUTS.COM  5x7 EASEL card.  Love those little faces!

Trick or Treat....Smell My Feet

A little silly, but fun.  I went with the scary faces from Peachy Keen stamps.  I used Mary's grass from "My Happy Garden Hideaway"set from Svgcuts.com.  The feet, dead flowers, and frame are mine.  Yup...the flowers were to represent dead flowers from "stinky feet".  I think the card could stand one more little thing in the top, right corner..but I don't know what. I felt this was pretty quick and definitely easy.  I opted to omit the toenails on my card. (A2 size)

ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!

Pumpkin Babies (alias Part 3)

OKAY....last of these pumpkins for awhile.  I'm using the "same pumpkin" I have posted for the last 2 days....however, I resized and squished a little.  I had baby faces on them, but I changed them out to look like baby scarecrow faces.  You could also change the background paper to be more of a "Halloween" theme.  ..I did that for some, but I wanted to show it could also be used for Fall and Thanksgiving, as well as Halloween. (Remember, OWH cards have to be sent much earlier.)
A big "thank you" goes to Svgcuts.com for creating the beautiful set called Harvest Hill Farm where I got my vines to use on my cards.  Svgcuts.com was there at the very beginning of my new found love for cardmaking using SCAL and svg designing.  You must visit and they now have a new store called Pumpkin Cart Crafts. Mary and Leo, at SVGCUTS are a little busy these days.....they are the proud parents of 31 baby pumpkins.  Whew...that's a lot of feritlizer....but organic all the way!!! AND, don't forget those wonderful Peachy Keens stamps..I used the eyes from 2 sets.
UPDATE:   I forgot to mention that I cut out a 1 1/4" circle for face and adjusted my pumpkin and babies around that since I had a 1 1/4" circle punch and peachy Keen faces.

(Suggestion: Take the pumpkin and pumpkin kids into the same screen in SCAL or MTC. Adjust the size of kids and pumpkins to make proportional to your liking. If this is still too new to you, email me but be sure to leave a return email and I will send you the SCAL 2 file.)

SVG is posted for a limited time.  See comment in top-right column.

ENJOY!!!

Toaster...you always pop up....

.....just when I need you! A cute cliché with a toaster stamp from Stampin Up and face from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I made the toaster svg.  I decided to make it a shape card.  I simply put 2 bodies together in SCAL 2, welded, then did a (rounded) shadow.  I decided to do a shadow around the dial and lever too for the pieces to "pop".  The card size is an A2.  You can always stretch the sides to make longer.

I'm Hooked....

....on card making and buying svgs and stamps from some of my favorite places!
DOWNLOAD:  Fishing rod, hook and worm ...upon comment being left..thanks so much!

(The fishing line is simply for looks. On my card, I would use some type of string or embroidery thread.)

I wanted to start designating Sundays to displaying cards that I have made using svgs other than my own.  Today's cards were made using Svgcuts.com set called Breezy Backyard lever Cards Collection and the fire cracker from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I made the stars for the 4th of July card. If you haven't checked these sites out, you're missing out on some awesome svgs and adorable face stamps.

Butterflies Are Free

.......and so are these.   So many wonderful card templates out there in the web world that I had to design one myself.  I like a card that doesn't take too long from start to finish and where I can make 4 or 5 for later use.  If one card takes me an hour, I generally will never do it again and don't want to give it away .....sounds awful of me, doesn't it!  Anyway, that's what I have in the back of my mind when I make these templates and svgs for you and me.
      COMMENTS are most welcomed.

This is a 3-D or some would say a pop-up butterfly template card.  The butterflies stay attached to the paper.  The extra 3 butterflies separate so you can place on top of the paper to give it a "special effect" as  I have done to my cards.

Pistachio Salad - Yum Yum!

Too excited, so I'm posting twice this morning...one with the bowl and spoon and the other with my card.  I'm happy with my recipe cards.  I left two pictures ajar so you could see how it opened.  The marshmallow shadows do look better than in pic, but I may leave off top shadow next time.  I love the way the copic markers help the pineapple take on life. I love those Peachy Keen Stamps faces. (Glitter and some embossing can't be seen in pic.)  The card fits into a standard 5.5x4.25 invitation envelope. Thanks for stopping by and sharing my little journey and blog.)

Peach pickin' time (Part 1 of 4)

Peaches are my favorite fruit. Peach picking in the upstate starts in just 2 weeks.  Georgia is known as the "Peach State", but statistics show that South Carolina grows and produces more peaches than any other state.  You can buy peaches in the store, but it is RARE that it will taste like a peach just picked from the tree.  We actually have a water tower down the road shaped and colored like a peach. (Some say it looks like a person's "behind"). Today I'm posting a peach.  My leaf is more correct than ones found elsewhere. Download HERE for peach.  Stayed tuned tomorrow for Part 2.

It's Strawberry Pickin' Time

Love my strawberries and frozen ones in summer!  The crow "hit a nerve with me" because they always dine on my blueberry bushes before I get to pick them.  Those crows are always one step ahead of me....they are no different when it comes to my 5 pitiful strawberry plants either!  Download HERE for wire basket.  I will use the basket again for something entirely different so come back and visit.  My friend, clbecker from svgcuts.com forum, got me hooked on the cute "Peachy Keen Face Stamps"...they are super!  I also used Trina Clark and Friends.com digi stamps...super cute....super cheap!! Added a little copic markers and embellishments and I say complete!  Thank you for stopping by to take a peek.
