Halloweenie

I continue my mission to make 4 cards weekly...2 for my grandchildren and 2 for family/friends.  AND, mail them!!!!!

I pay tribute to Dearie Dolls again using Monster Halloween Booth.  I wish I could find her email and send a picture to her....just to let her know I continue to enjoy her awesome, darling, unique images.

I did a simple print and cut, used an old Fiskar Pumpkin border die punch, onion bag, glitter pen and machine stitching.  That's all folks.....hope the grandkids will enjoy.

Jack O Lantern Booth

I just LOVE the sweet images Mary Ellen at Dearie Dolls creates.  She is always sharing her creations.  With a cup of coffee in hand, she is the first blog I visit each morning.  Sometimes I pull up my file folder made just for her and scroll through all the images....they make me smile no matter what time of day.

It's been way too long using one of her images on a card, so it was time to pull out one of my favorite booth images and go play.
A2, Cameo for all cuts
Inside, white card for writing a little note, blue sign and main pumpkin man is 3 D...cut out several times and used pop-ups for dimension

I used Lots of Pops from Elizabeth Craft, Branch from Memory Box and Trick or Treat from Miss Kate's Cuttables (a daily freebie).

Happy Halloween Shaker Card

This adorable Good Witch is a Sassy Cheryl (pre-colored) from Paper Creator.  I had a good time with this sweet witch image.

I cut the circles and frames with Lil Inker Stitched Circles.  I also used some left over darling pumpkins from U Can Count On Me Kit.  OK...I over did the sprinkles in one of my cards, but it sure was fun pouring them in the little bag and then sealing with my FUZE...which I love love love.

5x5, sequins, beads, spider and bat punches, metal pumpkin, twine, acetate, pop-ups for dimension

angle view, you can see a little pumpkin inside

I didn't realize the paper would be so "busy".  I couldn't pull off without destroying everything, so it stays...haha and I hope someone will like it.

Charlie Autumn (wheat) Doodle Pantry

Charlie Horse was the first stamp I bought on-line and now it is making a come back at Doodle Pantry in digital form.  This girl is happy!!!This one is called Charlie Autumn.  I also used Fall Patterns set.

I totally cased my friend Lola at Little Card Maker.  Yup, instant love for her card and interacting card design.  Find the tutorial HERE.  I love using Print & Cut on my Cameo while also making extra cuts so these were leftovers that came together quickly for a card I can't wait to send to a friend who loves horses.

Boo

I've finished 4 Halloween cards this week.  This is the first time I've used Elizabeth Crafts Lots of Pops die.  I made something very similar in Silhouette Studio, but I must admit that using this die is a whole lot faster.

I'm using the adorable digi image from From The Heart Stamps.  Since I participated in the FTHS Progressive Challenge last month, this one was complimentary this month.  It's called Pumpkin Pig Wit and I'm in the FTHS August Challenge this month.

I also used the new die set "Spring Showers" from Lawn Fawn. I colored with copics and used the grass die from Die-namics.

A2, twine, pop-ups, circle punch, distressed ink for clouds and moon

Carving Pumpkin Time

Okay...maybe not "quite" time! If you know me, I use one of my window cut files at least once a month.  I wanted to do a video and put a tealight behind the window so you could see how much fun this card can be, but I ran out of steam!

So many fun sets release this month at Doodle Pantry! Carving Ants is one of many. It may not be CAS but it was quick and easy.  I used my Cameo to cut out my window, and the P&C feature for the image.  Using the brick embossing folder, some dies and punches, it was done in a flash.

There's still plenty of time to join Doodle Pantry's September Challenge.  You will receive the Jingle Ant Set just for participating (of course follow the rules...haha) and a chance to win a wonderful gift certificate to the Doodle Pantry Store.

A2, memory box die IO die , MS and EK punches, pop ups and distressing

Feel a little green so headed to bed

Yup...been feeling a little green due to cough and cold...yuck!

I did several P&C of FrankenBirdie from Doodle Pantry's new September Release set.  This is the second card I made with the pre-colored image.   I tried to give the appearance of him headed upstairs.  My inspiration was Kitty Kraft.

Once I found the paper it was easy since it was all dies and leftovers.  I think I kept it CAS.  The stitching is the only thing that takes about 2 minutes. Be sure to join in on Doodle Pantry's September Challenge and receive the Jingle Ants Set free!  Check out the new releases.

Spook Your Socks Off !!!

NEW RELEASE DAY

OMG....I really wanted to make cards with both images, but time would not allot me due to a deadline.  I chose Smell My Feet image from Paper Pretties. It's so much fun seeing all the delightful, happy children in their adorable costumes on Halloween night.  Head to Paper Pretties and see fun Halloween cards that were brewed just for you!

I also used "Spook You Socks Off" sentiment from the Halloween sentiment set from Punkin' Patch Stamps....they are freakin' adorable! And, I use my own feet svg.

Happy Harvest

Shabby Chic/Distressed Challenge
at Catch The Bug

Even though summer is my happiest and most fun season, my second favorite is Autumn.  I love the colors and smells.  I used Halloween Pumpkin from Bugaboo Stamps.  I also used some beautiful pumpkin vines in the Heirloom Pumpkin Flourishes set from SVGCuts....another set I use so much creative by Mary.  I kept it simple but think I left enough color and texture without the pumpkin being overtaken by everything around it.

A2 size, copics, pop-ups for added dimension, stitching, shabby, distressed

Pumpkin Cupcake Welded Card

Paper Cupcakes Challenge is to use die cuts and Cupcake Inspiration had a cupcake inspirational picture.  Wow...I'm right at home with that request.  I took the lovely pumpkin cupcake image I bought from Paper Cupcakes into SCAL and welded it to a A2 size card.  I made a die-cut from the image, but I can't share that with you since it is not mine.  The svg is mine, but the original image is not....sorry! I used my copic markers, a MS punch, an embellishment, and did some sewing.

Pumpkin Cupcake Tag

I just adore the cupcakes found at There's Magic in the Air with Paper Cupcakes.  They have a free one that ends tonight.  My sister's birthday is on Thanksgiving Day.  The challenge at Paper Cupcakes was to make a "tag".  Perfect...need one for my sister's birthday present.  I used copic markers, circle and scallop punches, ribbon, gem, pop-ups for dimension and the image. Tag opens up!
I still have one more to do tonight for Stretch n' Bubbles....don't know if I'll make the deadline and definitely didn't make the svg for you, but I'm working on one for tomorrow for sure.
Size: 3"

Side view to see that tag opens up.

Dreamin' of Pumpkin Pie and Door Hanger

Teaching school today...my blog is on auto pilot. I hope this post!

The card is for the Bugaboo Stitch and Fall Challenge and Pollycraft Challenge.  I used my Bugaboo dreamy bear image laying on top a pumpkin image by Trina Clark.  I continued with the stitching theme, added buttons and used copic markers.  I'm starting to like the sewing idea!
Size: A2
The door hanger is sorta a challenge from a DT member Paul at Bugaboo.  Click HERE for his blog candy and check his ghost link in my right column.  He's in Crete right now on a marvelous vacation.  I had a little trouble with the oval hole fitting on my door knobs.  Maybe they just make them bigger down here in the South!  I plan to make 2 more to take to school tomorrow. I'll make circles rather than ovals.  You are suppose to put a candy bar in the slot, but I only had "King Size"... haha, so I included an instant tea mix packet as a treat.
(Instructions on Paul's blog)
SVG CHALLENGE continues through Friday at 11:00 pm
Would love to see some more creations posted by you!

Happy Harvest

I bought a wonderful set of svgs from Svgcuts.com called Heirloom Pumpkin Flourishes.  (I used several of the vines flourishes and one of the pumpkins.) Beebeebabs had a beautiful card with lattice where she was inspired by someone named Linda....that card inspired me too.  I had no information about the lattice on her card, but loved it, so I went to Inkscape and made my own.  Well, I put the two together and created the first card.  I then took the My Scrap Chick scarecrow file that was purchased for me as a gift by a very dear person, and made another card, but used the scarecrow instead of the pumpkin.  I plan to use it for the OWH Wednesday Throwdown but I will remove the sentiment per requirement.  (Please contact me for more info.)
(Used swirls embossing folder.)

(Used pumpkin and vines embossing folder.)

(Inside of card..old fence looking paper and more vines.)

Please remember....I love comments as much as you like freebies.
Hope you enjoy!!!

Pumpkin Babies (alias Part 3)

OKAY....last of these pumpkins for awhile.  I'm using the "same pumpkin" I have posted for the last 2 days....however, I resized and squished a little.  I had baby faces on them, but I changed them out to look like baby scarecrow faces.  You could also change the background paper to be more of a "Halloween" theme.  ..I did that for some, but I wanted to show it could also be used for Fall and Thanksgiving, as well as Halloween. (Remember, OWH cards have to be sent much earlier.)
A big "thank you" goes to Svgcuts.com for creating the beautiful set called Harvest Hill Farm where I got my vines to use on my cards.  Svgcuts.com was there at the very beginning of my new found love for cardmaking using SCAL and svg designing.  You must visit and they now have a new store called Pumpkin Cart Crafts. Mary and Leo, at SVGCUTS are a little busy these days.....they are the proud parents of 31 baby pumpkins.  Whew...that's a lot of feritlizer....but organic all the way!!! AND, don't forget those wonderful Peachy Keens stamps..I used the eyes from 2 sets.
UPDATE:   I forgot to mention that I cut out a 1 1/4" circle for face and adjusted my pumpkin and babies around that since I had a 1 1/4" circle punch and peachy Keen faces.

(Suggestion: Take the pumpkin and pumpkin kids into the same screen in SCAL or MTC. Adjust the size of kids and pumpkins to make proportional to your liking. If this is still too new to you, email me but be sure to leave a return email and I will send you the SCAL 2 file.)

SVG is posted for a limited time.  See comment in top-right column.

Pumpkin Slider Card....(Part 2 of 2)

Yup, it's a slider card.  This is the same pumpkin (2 pieces) and all I did was to add the hat and not use the stem.  I cut one extra "outline" of the black piece to make the  solid back.  I glued just the edges of the 2 sides and the bottom area (not the top). I then taped a piece of paper (approx. 2  1/2"(w) x 3"(L)) to the back of the hat. ( I erased this post by mistake this morning and had to re-write everything, so this isn't too detailed.....bummer :( )  This will fit into a A2 size envelop.  The pumpkin yesterday needs a 5x7 envelop unless you opt to reduce the stem or cut off 1/2 of stem to fit into the A2 size envelop. (PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW about yesterday's card...I hope it clears up some questions.)

(Limited time for posting...please see comment on top right-column.)

Pumpkin....(Part 1 of 2)

It may seem early, but my son and I are working on cards for OWH (Operation Write Home).  Halloween and Fall cards will have to be shipped soon.  This is a 2 part series....today is part one and tomorrow is Part 2....it's a surprise, so you must come back tomorrow to get all the pieces....haha  The pumpkin svg looks a little boring, but with a little imagination, it can come alive.  I'm not one to go far "outside the box", but I'm trying!   (YUP...it's a shape card that opens so you can write your message.)

(Limited time posted...please see top right-column comment.)
ENJOY!!!

Comments welcomed!!!
