Happy Birthday Mary Hannah

I'm continuing with birthday cards for Mary Hannah since I won't be able to attend her 6th birthday festivities.  It will make a total of 4...reached my goal.

A simple balloon(s) die cut from Aliexpress called balloon die.  I made the clear round do-dahs.  I wish I had brought my bucket of them with me when I moved, but I just couldn't bring it ALL....LOL

You Make Me Smile

The blog started years ago for ME.  I was inspired by the movie "Julia and Julie".  I would post a new SVG each week and offer it free to anyone that requested it.  At the end of the year, I had posted wellover 100 free svgs, so I definitely met my goal.

I took a long break and I'm back. I need to set a new goal even though I'm starting in September.  My goal....to make a card for each of my two grandchildren each week and to make 2 cards to send to a friend or family member....that makes a total of 4 cards a week...a pretty tall order.  They won't be near as detailed and intricate as I have made in the past, but will be made with humor and love.

Dearie Dolls was one of my favorite blogs to follow.  She had a unique style all her own that so many fell in love with, not just me.  Like me, she took a break but has not returned.  I honor her today, and many months to come, with one of her images.  This is called "Take A Bite Out Of Spring".

Shake your ba-donkey-donk!

My awesome blue-eyed, red-headed granddaughter is having a birthday soon.  I want to lavish her with several cards leading up to her birthday.  I won't be there for the celebration.

I bought this donkey svg some years back from SVG Cutting Files.  This time around I'm making 4 cards to have on hand for upcoming birthdays.  I just don't know why this donkey always makes me smile.  The little flower is a die cut also from years past. ( I may add google eyes for fun.)  I used a Spellbinder A2 Curved Borders One die cut.  This is my "go to" set I dearly love.

Cut It Up is having Challenge #182 with the theme being farm animals.  This little donkey is walking in the pasture celebrating birthdays. ( TIDBIT: Farmers say cows, goat, sheep, horses and other small farm animals in a pasture with donkeys are more protected from coyotes.)

I did a total of 4 cards using donkey; here are two others. Sorry for background

3rd Birthday - Elsa

Yup, I'm a grandmother of a 3 year old, red headed, blue eyed, little girl who is in love with Elsa.  I thought of so many cute cards to make, but knowing Elsa will thrill her the most.  I sorta cased Stamp Owl's Studio, but since I didn't have the exact card die, I improvised.  I could not bring myself to use the words "Let it Go"!

All the images were free on the web.  I cut the "3" with the Cameo and the rest were die cuts I had.  All the white paper is glittered...wish you could see it.

A2, Snow Border die, snow corner die, pop-ups for dimension

All dies, all glitter paper, images free on web, Lawn Fawn snow backdrop stamp set, copics for Oloft

Wanted to show at angle to see the tabs. I used a card tab die set by Stampendous I bought from Michaels.  I didn't think I would use very much, but use quite a bit.  $7 well spent

Castle for Mary Hannah

She's all girl....my Mary Hannah!  I found this free, sweet and easy svg template from Love Paper Crafts. Thank you for this great file.  Mary Hannah is so in awe with Elsa and Anna.  I made it more personal by merging pics of them all into one scene.  By the way, she loves pink, pink, pink!

I'M BACK...

...thank you everyone for keeping up and having faith that I would return.  I made my first card since last November about 5 days ago.  I did some projects (not cards) that I will enjoy sharing with you.

You can skip down to the first project if you don't care to read what has been going on in my life..haha

First: many of you know my brother was gravely ill (as of last September).  He had a very rapid case of ALS.  I was flying to Denver every 6 weeks to be with him.  It was costly and my entire savings for vacation for this year, but I would do it all over again for the time I had with him.  I lost my dear brother this past February.

Next, attempting to get back into shape, I was power walking 5-6 miles a day, swimming, lifting weights and climbing 15-50 flights of stairs a day to help with my osteoporosis. Yup, over did it and had to have back surgery.  Since my brother was so ill, I didn't want surgery until my last visit so I was in a lot of pain till January.  Surgery was success but left me with nerve pain.

Next, 5 days after surgery, our first grandson was born. Yippee! Welcome Wyatt

Welcome Wyatt
Next, in early April my neurosurgeon gave me permission to start walking (exercising) again.  After a week of just walking, I decided to "kick it up a notch" and start mixing jogging with my power walking.  Big mistake! Two fracture knees.  I'm now in a brace for 6 weeks and then we will see what to do with other knee.  This has given me lots of time to start working on cards.

My first little project was a pillow case for my grand daughter.  I made the pillowcase and using my Silhouette, I placed her name on it with heated vinyl.  Washes great.  She loves it.
my huband was nice enough to help me showcase the project.

Mary Hannah's Valentines for classmates

Mary Hannah is now 15 months old.  She has 7 classmates.  My son and DIL asked me to make something for her classmates for Valentines. They gave me a Pinterest project they liked and I did my own interpretation.

Instead of just a tag, I made the fruit cup holder.  They will have little cups of mandarin oranges in each.  The face is from Peachy Keen. I used watercolor pencils for eyes, MS heart border punch and Stampin Up Window punch.

Loving Cows for Mary Hannah

I saw these adorable Loving Cows (from the Silhouette Store) that Sue created and knew I had to case for my grand daughter.  It will be one of her Valentines.  I made two for her: one to hold, tear up and carry around.  The other can be displayed and then put in her memory box of cards.

Off to the beach tomorrow till Sunday, but my husband and dogs will keep the "home fires burning" and secure.  We have security and security cameras in the house.  I can go on my phone or IPAD at anytime and see what the puppies are doing...haha  I can usually find my DH napping in the den chair with the puppies sleeping on top of him.
