To A Bright Future

My son is graduating this Saturday.  He and his roommate have been friends since 3rd grade.  My son's major is Chemistry and his roommate Biology.  They will be headed in different directions.  Anyhow, I'm putting money in the lightbulb and presenting it to him at graduation.  I spelled his name correctly...Davide  (I think it is an Italian or German version...maybe Imke knows.)

Made this in Silhouette Design Studio.

Have a deLIGHTful birthday

Still trying to build my stash of birthday cards.  I made several masculine and some feminine.  I cased Jeanie at My Spotted Chick.  I used the set call Perfect Chemistry from Your Next Stamps.  The sun ray is from the Silhouette Store.

A2, copics, ribbon, pop-ups for dimension, glossy accents and Wink of Stella on silver bulb base

more of WATT'S UP !

I don't know why I'm on a kick with "lightbulbs".  Is it one of the newest images for cards?  This one is taken from My Favorite Things Die-namics, but I used Studio for the sentiment...one cut  and one  typed. I cased Lori at Inkingaloud.

I didn't show my table and chairs today.  I waited too long and the lighting wasn't right, but I haven't forgotten to do it.

A2 vertical

A2 vertical, glitter, Lil Inker flag banner, Lil inker stitched circles, and my own stitching, along with pop- ups for dimension
cut out letters and used faux stitching on each letter.  I like the other better and will probably redo the circle on this one.

Old Door...Watts up...You brighten my day

Two entirely different themes today.  First, a pic of my shabby chic door. Friends wanted to see what I did with the old orange door.  My style is "eclectic" too say the least.  I wanted something to hide part of the refrigerator that was next to our dining area.  I started off with a completely different idea but this is the end result.  The top area for glass I haven't decided upon....frost etched glass or leave empty.

Tomorrow, I will show you my homemade table and shabby chic dining chairs.  My son says they are ghetto and embarrassed by them when he brings friends over to the house...haha

The last 2 pics are some fun, quick cards I made using My Creative Time "You're Brilliant" stamp and die set.  However, I used the filament image from Mama Elephant.  Oops...an Peachy Keen faces.

This pic was taken after I had clean the door and patched.  I worked on this at a neighbors house while our house was being built.

if you look carefully you can see a slow cooker of pinto beans cooking..haha and a piece of one of my ghetto chairs as my son says

another angle.  I set some Fall wine glasses in cubby where I usually have more wine on display.  The light works by the way and I love the old glass door know

A2 vertical, stitching and faux stitched border on right, wet embossing, homemade dots, silver glitter for tips of bulbs

my own handwriting for "watts up", Peachy Keen faces...boy, it's been awhile since I've used those
