A little late howdy (2nd post today)

One more quick card for the QKR Stampede Challenge # 214 - Wild West.  I went outside my box and went "pink"...I'm glad I did...just to make it fun.  I used a Silhouette Store template #91887 Happy Birthday Swing Card and copics for all coloring with some Wink of Stella on shell and hat.  I used digi7704 - Ride 'em cowboy.
5x7, hard to capture a swing card in a photograph

angle view, twine for rope and hook punch to hold rope

Howdy Friend

Well, I've done it again......waiting until the last minute to join a challenge.  I guess it is better late than never and shows the challenge team I really wanted to participate.  Stayed up late and finished early this morning.  So here's my card for the QKR Challenge #214 - Wild West.  I didn't have anything "western" that caught my fancy, so I added a cowboy hat I made to the image digi2701 - Do You Love Me and masked the notecard.

5x5, silver star, twine to resemble rope, copics for coloring, Lil Inker Stitched Circle Die set

THANKS from the bottom of my BUTT...

(Inside):  ...because my butt is bigger than my heart!

I hope some of my followers "get" my strange sense of humor on this card creation.  I thought QKR's "Sneaking Away digi13310" would be the perfect image to showcase my sentiment.  I plan to entered my card in the QKR Challenge #209: Anything Goes.

I incorporated the Grand Madison Door Die by Poppy Stamps, copics for coloring, Cameo for cutting the bear and pop-ups for dimension.  All four cards came together quickly and are ready to be addressed and mailed to several friends and family members.

A2  Isn't that bandage on the butt cute?

...if you can't give them a ride now and then!

This is QKR digi16503 Halloween Turtle.  I'm entering this sweetie in the QKR Challenge #208...theme: Fall colors

I masked the pumpkin and made some smaller ones to add for interest. I used lots of pop-ups for dimension.

A little boo

I just got back from the beach today so I'm a little tired but wanted to jump on some blogs, comment, and post this little card. Gosh...internet was so slow at the beach.

I also promised Faith at Daffodil Cards I would take pics of ocean and beautiful scenery....I didn't, but here I am.

You will have to take my word for it, but the inlet and ocean is behind me...haha

Now for the card....this came together so quick.  It's all from Lawn Fawn, Happy Howloween.  But, I made a shaker out of the moon.  I punched a lot of tiny bats and added sequins and beads.  I colored every thing with copics.

The QKR Challenge #208 says use Fall colors.  I think I will enter, but I will also do the challenge again using one of their adorable images.  I don't understand why more people don't use these images for the challenges.  I see so much fun and humor in the images...haha

A2, acetate for shaker area...used the FUZE to hold together...love that tool!

Snowflakes for Sale (3rd post today)

Talk about last minute!!!!!  I have one hour before the QKR Challenge #206 closes.  Theme: balls or sports balls.  I don't like sports very much...loved watching the Olympics, but that is about as far as my love goes.  Soooo...I thought outside the box.  Balls.....SNOWBALLS!!!!  I used QKR digi14214 Selling snowflakes.  Another challenge is at Die Cuttin Divas #281 : Anything Goes.

I got this wonderful template idea from Deloris at Stampin by the Lake.  I bought Lori Whitlock's Pull-Out Snowflake card template from the Silhouette Store.  ( I also cut off snowflakes at bottom so card would stand nicely.)

A2, copics, pop-ups for dimension, card die, rolling hills die from Lawn Fawn, Wink Of Stella for the background and snowflakes (which you probably can't see) snowflake embellishment, circle punches

Insert for the card...you can see a little more of the 3-D effect and snow drift
I will wait to put a sentiment of my choosing

"Bacon" in the sun

Something went weird with linking to QKR's challenge last week...I hope it doesn't happen this week...haha  Yup, I'm joining QKR Stampede Challenge #205.  The theme: shaped card (not square, rectangle, or plain circle)

I think digi16913 Stacked Pigs is a hoot, yet I had not used it until today. I merged a sun, the sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps, and the pig image in Design Studio, made a slight outside border, welded and cut into a shaped card.  I added gold Wink of Stella to the sun.

A2, coloring in PS and copics, glitter on sun, welded all and cut

ok...only did 3 instead of 4

Monochromatic "thinking of you"

QKR is having their Challenge #204.  I'm using their adorable Whistling Cow.  The theme is monochromatic (I'm using shades of brown in the copic E family).  I love a challenge!  I'm also keeping with my plan of CAS for the next two weeks.  Of course, making 4 cards for my stash.

I made the sentiment and cloud design in Design Studio and cut it all out using my Cameo.  With the help of copics, stitching, and pop-ups for dimension, I'm calling them done.  Thanks for dropping by.

A2, Fiskar cloud dies, E000, E0, E1

Used my Cameo to cut out, copics for coloring, Upton scene by Penny Black, cloud punches.  And yes, I made 4..haha

Hugs and thank you

My oldest son and DIL surprised me with a new purse with my initials.  Quite the awesome surprise!  They might had been trying to cheer me up after the lost of dear Boo OR they saw my purse and realized I needed a new one..haha  Either way, it worked....I'm happy and I have a new awesome purse.  This is my "thank you" card I made for them.  It may look off-centered since I have not signed it yet.
I'm entering this in the QKR challenge #195.  The image is Natures Discovery.  The theme is "for a guy".  This is the thank you card I'm sending to my son for the purse.  I hope it qualifies.

A2, designed "hugs" in Design Studio and used my Cameo to cut.  Used PS and copics to color, homemade beads, grass die, Elizabeth Craft Charm Pull Die Set, eyelet

Oops, added ribbon to pull after I took picture.  There is another "thank" under the hippo

Happy Hour

Instant love for Chrissy's card.  I sorta cased her sketch, borrowed her sentiment, but changed the image. Image - digi 8503 Couch Potato.  I think it could pass as a pickle too..haha  I joining the QKR Stampede Challenge #195 - theme: guys.  Using copics, cord, and homemade dots, I call it done.  (This is SO my husband and brother!)

A2 - I can use as a birthday or "just because" theme card
PS....I just won this image last week!

Another pull card QKR birthday

One last entry to the QKR Challenge #193.  I'm enjoying the pull card die set.  I think everyone enjoys an action card.  I'm going to make another card but with a "thank you" theme.  My son and DIL surprised me with a new purse with my initials.  I think they knew something like that would cheer me up OR they thought my purse was starting to look a little ratty...haha  Both things are true!
This is Nature Discovery from QKR. I masked the butterfly.

A2, grass die, metal cupcake die, Elisabeth Craft Charm Pull Die Set, eyelet and ribbon, PS and copics for coloring, jewel and cut image with my Cameo Silhouette

Pull Card Forgetful Elephant - QKR

I'm joining the Die Cuttin Diva's #268 Challenge ( Anything Goes) and it is my 2nd entry to the QKR Challenge #193: birthday theme.  I need to replenish my stack of birthday cards.  This cutie is Forgetful Birthday.  I used PS and copics for coloring, Pull Charm die set by Elizabeth Craft, brad, ribbon, eyelet, made my own balloon string on Cameo and Lil Inker balloon die.

A2, closed, metal cupcake brad

Basking in chair (2nd post today)

Inside:...but in my head I'm quite busy!

I said you would see this fun background sunburst again.  When you cut it out, it automatically makes two.  I'm using QKR Stampede digi24231-Basking in chair.  I think he's too funny.  I'm entering this in the QKR Challenge #132 - use sentiment.

My DH doesn't look like a chicken/rooster, but the position in the chair reminds me of my husband and he has pretty much said this sentiment when I ask him why he's not "busy doing something".  When he asks me "why I'm so quiet", I tell him "I'm thinking". He says, "Oh boy, that's scary because it only means you are thinking of something that's going to put me to work!" (He's usually right...haha)

I'm all ears!

Rainy day yesterday, so a great day to make some cards.  I got on a roll with a simple background technique I saw on my friend Donna's blog post.  What a fun change.   When you cut, you automatically have the materials for 2 cards.  So you will see several over the next few weeks.

I was a winner at QKR Stampede challenge this past week.  Yippee!  QKR's Challenge #131 this week is Think Spring.  I think a bunny with flowers on her hat and in the background paper says "Spring". I used #11407 Hello Bunny digi.

A2, copics for coloring, PSE for dress, Wink of Stella on flowers, sentiment in Pages, pop-ups under circle for dimension

angle view to show dimension, circle punch and Studio to cut shadow circle

PS  Do any of yal remember "Minnie Pearl" who was on the Grand Ole Opry"?  She always wore a hat and always left the tag on (to be seen on purpose).  The reason behind that?  She said she grew up very poor and to buy something NEW was a very rare treat. She felt having something new was a sign of having money.  This was especially true during the "Depression of the 30's".  Anyhow, by leaving the tag on her hat, she was stating that she was wealthy because she just bought a new hat....haha

When people.....

Have you ever finished a card only to drop something on it...like an ink pad and mess it up?  It has happened to me more than once and it happened with this card.   The only way to save it was to fussy cut and/or take it into PSE and erase the ink marks.  All the marks were on the outside of the image but very close to the feet so there was no disguising with a sentiment, flower and any type of embellishment...haha  I printed it out but losing a little color quality.  If I knew enough about PSE, I'm sure I couldn't have fixed that too.

Anyhoooo, I'm entering Digi 24122 into the QKR Stampede Challenge #130: Stitching   I used real stitching, faux stitching, and dies with embedded stitching.

A2, copics, Lawn Fawn banner stitched die, Lil Inker rectangle stitched die, rafetta

Sneezie - wheezie - queezie

Yup, a lot of that going around!  I'm into bears this week.  Do you find yourself into animals one week, flowers another, etc?

This is my fist QKR Stampede Challenge.  I bought about 7 images after being inspired by so many friends working with these images lately.  Of course, this is the last day of the Challenge #126...add lovely lace!

I used #8507, but I masked the flowers in his/her hand and put a box of tissue.  I saw this in their gallery of cards.  I just had to do my best to case it.  I left the bow off her head before the pic...oh well.

A2, copics, lace, stitching, :i; Inker flag, eyelet, real tissue, white highlighter

another angle, and tree embossing folder
