Find BALANCE in Life

Balancing life is a tough job right now, not just for me but for my son and daughter-in-law in particular. I made this card for her.  My son is back in medical school a 100 miles away.  He tries to get home as much as he can.  In the meantime, she is the head Nurse Anesthetist for a hospital in Greenville, SC and having a 6 year old, 3.5 year old, and a new puppy to manage pretty much by herself, I find is a tall order and "balancing act".

I was the lucky winner of a gift certificate at Stampendous through the  House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #299.  I chose a frog set and a House Mouse clear stamp.  The Old Goat Cling Set is also available at Stampendous.   I had bought this Froggie Balancing Cling Set a while back.

A2, I made 4 cards with different colored laundry baskets and cardstock
behind the image. I also included pop dots for dimensions, cut out images
using my Silhouette, machine stitched and using copics for coloring.

A little late howdy (2nd post today)

One more quick card for the QKR Stampede Challenge # 214 - Wild West.  I went outside my box and went "pink"...I'm glad I did...just to make it fun.  I used a Silhouette Store template #91887 Happy Birthday Swing Card and copics for all coloring with some Wink of Stella on shell and hat.  I used digi7704 - Ride 'em cowboy.
5x7, hard to capture a swing card in a photograph

angle view, twine for rope and hook punch to hold rope

Time to SPARE!!! (+freebie bowling pin)

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Paper Pretties
Challenge: Buttons

I wish alligators were this charming and I was a good bowler.  I thought the alligator image would be right up my alley!  Alley Gator looks like he's having a really good time. I made the background paper simply by turning my bowling pin svg into a .jpeg, then just duplicating a lot of them and throwing them all over the paper.  You do whatca gotta do in a pinch!  Added diamond glaze on eyes and bowling bowl.

Remember: TWO releases now at Paper Pretties. Both come with at least 2 sentiments each....crazy good! Images: Alley Gator and Elbram

A2 size, copics, stitching, punch, svgs, glaze, buttons

Frog ...Waaaassss uuuuppp!

...that's right.  I see his little tongue stretching out to catch a little snack. Wouldn't a fly, dragonfly, or ladybug on his tongue look cute...or maybe a word?  Remember the term "Wasssss uuuUPPPPP" was being use by everyone about 3 years ago and the "up" was exaggerated?

Dreamin' Frog - Digi Stamp

Here is what I promised for those who would rather color than cut.....the digi stamp of the frog I made yesterday.  I used copic markers, altered grass svg in My Happy Garden Hideaway Collection by svgcuts.com, my cattails svg, shadowing and some embellishments.

Comments welcomed.  Have a super weekend!

Copic markers

Still trying to learn how to use copic markers.  I'm really enjoying them, but still have so much I can learn.  This was a free digi stamp through "Stretch and Bubbles."  It was on Semsee's.blogspot and Crissy Armstrong was the illustrator.  It was something designed very special for Jayme, Lisa's sister.  I tried to leave the frog a little spotty to give it a frog effect.  No svgs, just some punches and embellishments.

I'm Beautiful!

I made this svg this morning, and then made a card around it....probably did the process backwards, but that's me as usual.  It's hard to see pink jewels and glitter...maybe next time will put ribbon bow in hair. I used some shadowing and 2 copic markers.  She is suppose to be wearing a blouse and skirt, but she looks more like me when I was pregnant and trust me.....I was NOT beautiful!   Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Download HERE for girlie froggie svg and HERE for SCAL 2 ...I separated in layers for you in SCAL2.
