I'm all ears!

Rainy day yesterday, so a great day to make some cards.  I got on a roll with a simple background technique I saw on my friend Donna's blog post.  What a fun change.   When you cut, you automatically have the materials for 2 cards.  So you will see several over the next few weeks.

I was a winner at QKR Stampede challenge this past week.  Yippee!  QKR's Challenge #131 this week is Think Spring.  I think a bunny with flowers on her hat and in the background paper says "Spring". I used #11407 Hello Bunny digi.

A2, copics for coloring, PSE for dress, Wink of Stella on flowers, sentiment in Pages, pop-ups under circle for dimension

angle view to show dimension, circle punch and Studio to cut shadow circle

PS  Do any of yal remember "Minnie Pearl" who was on the Grand Ole Opry"?  She always wore a hat and always left the tag on (to be seen on purpose).  The reason behind that?  She said she grew up very poor and to buy something NEW was a very rare treat. She felt having something new was a sign of having money.  This was especially true during the "Depression of the 30's".  Anyhow, by leaving the tag on her hat, she was stating that she was wealthy because she just bought a new hat....haha

  1. FABulous design! I LOve this sweet bunny.
    Fun sentiment too.
Love the story about the hat! xx

  2. Wonderful, love the card and the sentiment, so funny.

  3. I LOVE your card! Your bunny is adorable and the design is perfect to showcase her too! Thanks for joining us this week at QKR Stampede for the weekly challenge!

  4. Well thank you for the shout out dear friend! I love your take on that technique. Your bunny is so totally adorable! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Such a perfect sentiment for this bunny card! Love that layout too...very springy indeed!

  6. oh sweet Minnie Pearl. I miss seeing her. I love the bunny card and sentiment. Fun card.. really like the candy bunny container. Happy first day of spring to you.

  7. I do remember Minnie Pearl, but didn't know the story behind the price tags she left on her hats. Thanks for that touching story.

I love sunburst backgrounds. They really make a card, well, sunny!

  8. That has to be one of my fav images, Cely, and yes, I do remember Pinnie Pearl ! OK, DT hat -- We're truly honored that you chose our "Think Spring" challenge at QKR Stampede to enter this week. Thanks so much and good luck. Hope to see you again soon.

  9. And all this time I thought she left the tags on to be funny. And how do we know the hat was new? It could have been an old hat with an old tag...But yes, I sure do remember her! And your bunny card is too cute! Especially since bunnies are my all time favorite animal. I used to have them as pets. I'm allergic, but one day will consider having another for the girls to care for.
