Frosty Cup of Coco

Yippee!  We had a nice little snow here in South Carolina.  I think a fun time was had by all!

This Frosty Cup of Coco from Sassy Cheryl can be found at Paper Creators.  It comes pre-colored.  I printed out cloud and image and then cut out a copy of the cloud and image and placed on card using pop-ups to add dimension.

There is a fun challenge at Paper Creator Crafts this month.  Head over and join the fun.

A2, free digi background from internet, free blowing cloud
I added a Peachy Keen face to the cloud
I went back and added pink cheeks to some clouds
angle view, glitter paper, Lawn Fawn Hillside border dies

Lawn Fawn rectangle stitched dies, Wink of Stella
computer generator sentiment

REMEMBER: When purchasing from Paper Creators, use CELY as a coupon code for 20% off.  I receive nothing.  It is just a very kind gesture by Debbie the owner for followers of the DT members.

Let's Ride Slider card

OMG...this was so easy to put together.  I hope it doesn't give that appearance...haha

It's all about the snow these days.  I used Let's Ride from Paper Creators.  It's a Sassy Cheryl illustration that comes pre-colored.  With the help of 3 sets from Lawn Fawn, it came together quickly.

I just love the way they look like they are flying off the card.  Now THAT is "taking a risk"!  haha

Join our challenge #55 - Winter at Paper Creator's Crafts.  If you buy an image or two, use CELY as the code to get 20% off.  I get nothing from this offer.  Debbie, the creator at Paper Creator is kind to offer this for us being on the design team and appreciates the business.

A2, Lawn Fawn "Slide On Over" die set, Stitched Hillside Borders die set, and Stitched Mountain Tops die set

Paper Smooches "Group Hugs" sentiment set

Jingle All the Way WOBBLE card

It's been awhile since I've made an Art Impression card but today was today.  I adored Stamp Owl's card, so I cased.  This is Bells Ring Set. I can make wobbles, but I ordered a huge package at a great price.

I made the circle rocker in Inkscape and then transferred to my Design Studio in Silhouette.  I see many tutorials to make them by hand but I wanted one I could make quickly with my Cameo and size it automatically without "crunching numbers".  I'm not putting it in "Drop Box", but more than happy to share.  Just drop me an email...email is under my "About Me" if you click it.  DO NOT leave a note under comments because it does NOT leave me your email address so I'm not able to reply to you.
(I'm entering the challenge at 613 Avenue Create #119 and Art Impression - Prep for Christmas # 196

5.5 but since it is folded, it will fit in a standard A2 envelope
wink of Stella on berries and scarf and bells
copics for coloring

punched snowflakes and snowflakes from Silhouette

Continuing with the snowmen

I see these snowmen animated singing tenor like "Let it Snow" or deep voices singing "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas", the version from the movie Home Alone...haha

I just love this image so I just changed up a little and put in a rectangle shadow box.  I did 5 cards in all with these Snowfolk art images from Beccy.  I actually won a set so I can't wait to go shopping and make some more cards using her wonderful images.  I'm entering A Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's - Christmas inspiration.

A2, Lawn Fawn rolling hill and tree dies and snow stamp background.....used wet embossing powder and snow paper.

Holly Jolly Winter Time

....right now we are just praying for rain.  We are -9.75" below normal.

I have followed Beccy for years.  She was talented at the beginning and just keeps flourishing and creating even more if that's possible.  I've ALWAYS wanted this snowmen image.  Don't ask why I waited so long.  Literally, it haunted me and by the time I went to buy it, it was in a set of other snowmen but it was on sale.

I had a few hiccups with the construction.  I'm happy enough with the results, but not the process.  I have at least three more card ideas for these adorable Snowfolk Set.

I've pretty much finished my Christmas cards so I'm trying to stay with winter themes, but for challenges, I guess I'll pop in with a holiday card now and then.  This one is going into the Beccy's Place November Challenge - Holiday Theme.

A2, shaker card, Lori Whitlock Shaker Card Kit from Silhouette Store

lots of layers, cut out snowmen with Cameo 3 and snow globe parts

Acetate on front, snowflake button, sentiment creative in Design Studio
I also used Lawn Fawn snow background and did a wet emboss.  The lighting is terrible.  I do apologize.

Snowflakes for Sale (3rd post today)

Talk about last minute!!!!!  I have one hour before the QKR Challenge #206 closes.  Theme: balls or sports balls.  I don't like sports very much...loved watching the Olympics, but that is about as far as my love goes.  Soooo...I thought outside the box.  Balls.....SNOWBALLS!!!!  I used QKR digi14214 Selling snowflakes.  Another challenge is at Die Cuttin Divas #281 : Anything Goes.

I got this wonderful template idea from Deloris at Stampin by the Lake.  I bought Lori Whitlock's Pull-Out Snowflake card template from the Silhouette Store.  ( I also cut off snowflakes at bottom so card would stand nicely.)

A2, copics, pop-ups for dimension, card die, rolling hills die from Lawn Fawn, Wink Of Stella for the background and snowflakes (which you probably can't see) snowflake embellishment, circle punches

Insert for the card...you can see a little more of the 3-D effect and snow drift
I will wait to put a sentiment of my choosing

You make my winter a little warmer

2nd Posting Today!

OKAY...we haven't seen the first snowflake here in South Carolina, but we are having our fair share of cold cold cold!  Not only do I think the From the Heart Stamps Little Snowman image is darling, I just love the sentiment that came with it.

I followed the sketch for Challenge #94 but I just couldn't do the twist...monochromatic.  I love them, but this little card still needed a little pop so I gingerly added the lime green.  I'm also entering this little card in the progressive Monthly (January) Challenge at From the Heart Stamps.

A2 vertical, string, copics, sickles, stitching, ribbon, mitten brads, embossing folder

more .... Winter Wishes

I think I'm skipping right over Christmas and going to straight snow and warm, cozy cards.  Even in the South, the cold weather has come in wayyyy to early!

I'm using the image WINTER FRIENDS from From the Heart Stamps.  I'm participating in their weekly sketch challenge with a twist #87.  I don't know what constitutes decorating the inside but I always try to add a "little something".   Not much color in snow so I used pearl snowflakes, diamond sickles and a green/blue plaid scarf to give added interest and texture.

A2, papers from Jack Frost by American Craft

side view...use copics for all coloring

inside...MB snow border

Snowmen have a heart

I'm getting in the wintery mode.  There will be no snow here on Christmas, but the blustery days of January and February are not far away.  Gosh, I can use this for winter and Valentines. Green struck me as the color to use. Snow burst corner die, embossing folder, copics, stickles, string and tattered edges completed this card.  I'm making 4 more as "go to" cards. The image is from Designed2Delight Digital Stamps called "Snow Angel".

5x5, also pop-ups for dimensions of die, snowflake embellishment

Blue shadowing of copics hard to see but it's deeper than what you see here.

And and and, he's at one of my "happy places" .... the WATER!!!!  Check out what the DT has created with the "2" new release images.  You heard correct...TWO new release images today...WOW

Snowman Globe (Non traditional colors)

This is the same snow globe from yesterday, but with a little twist.  For Crafty Ann's  and There's Magic In The Air challenges, you are to use non-traditional Christmas colors.  I hope that means don't use red and green.  These days, any colors are "in vogue"...haha   I'm still using the wonderful snowmen image by Crafty Ann's. The cut snowflake is courtesy of Images by Heather M, the stand is my svg freebie from yesterday, a metal snowflake and 2 blue embellishments.

Size: A2

First Snowflake "Frame It Out" + Freebie

(CORRECTION:  I ACCIDENTALLY POSTED THIS CARD LAST NIGHT THRU A TYPO WITH DATES.  I WAS TRYING TO TYPE IN OCT. 13 AND THE "3" DIDN'T TYPE.  SO, THE POST WENT OUT TO A FEW FOLLOWERS BY MISTAKE!)

I have enjoyed my purchased images from Paper Cupcakes.  They also post a freebie each Monday. The challenge is to "Frame It Out".  I used a "faux" window (acetate sheet over window) to frame it. You look through to see the snowman en"joy"ing the first snowflake of the year.  The window "svg", I think is from Images by Heather M.

Flower and pot svg from Svgcuts.com, holly punch, metal snowflake, glitter pens, specialty white paper, and sentiment from Stampin' Up.

I had the cutest idea using my Peachy Keens faces with my iron, but I'm "pressed for time" since I'm leaving for the beach this afternoon.....corny but that's me!!!  (If you make the iron too small, then just draw on the steam iron vents.)

If you choose to download, please take of few seconds to share a kind word.

Snowflake Christmas challenge

I have 3 challenges I want to do before the day is gone (so I'll try to also post later this evening).  I am still cleaning up from the kitchen project.  The snowman is a free image from Paper Cupcakes and their challenge is HERE.  I cut him out, made an easel card, attempted to have the snowflake in mid-air, used sparkles on gloves, scarf and flakes, glossy accents on the buttons and puff paint for the snow at his feet. Strange....it's 85 degrees here and I'm sweating while finishing this little fellow.....haha
