You're my "Sweet Pea"

OWH (Operation Write Home) was having their Midweek Throw Down Card Challenge.  The theme was to make a card to be sent to a young or older child.  I didn't want it too babyish, so this is what I created.  I made into a shape card.  Inside is a poem and a place to write a note.  There are not too many pieces, but I made 3 peas, so it may seem a lot.  I made all the svgs and I used my wonderful Peachy Keen stamps.  I love comments.

A Minion...they are everywhere!

.......cute little characters, cute movie!  The hair is simply decoration.  I would take it off in SCAL 2 and just draw the hair or use textured thread. Use a little shadow on pants and add buttons for trousers and he's set.  ENJOY!  Would love your  "comments".

Gumball Machine

Actually, I have M&M's inside of mine.  I think everybody at one time has had a gumball machine in their house.  I think it reverts back to fond memories of childhood....nothing wrong with that!   I had fun making this....I hope you have fun creating with it! Comments Enjoyed!

Garfield

I don't have cats, but I've always been intrigued by the Pink Panther and Garfield the Cat.  Both are copyrighted and trademarked so the svg can not be sold and is for personal use only.  Download HERE for the svg and HERE for the SCAL2 (scut) file.  (PS - I attempted to eliminate as many extra cuts as possible.)

Beer Mug Too!

I did this beer mug last year, but never posted.  There are many that are quite similar, so here's another to add to your collection.  Thanks for dropping by to look.  (The foam is yellow so you can see the cut: it should be cut "white". I'm Beautiful!

I made this svg this morning, and then made a card around it....probably did the process backwards, but that's me as usual.  It's hard to see pink jewels and glitter...maybe next time will put ribbon bow in hair. I used some shadowing and 2 copic markers.  She is suppose to be wearing a blouse and skirt, but she looks more like me when I was pregnant and trust me.....I was NOT beautiful!   Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Download HERE for girlie froggie svg and HERE for SCAL 2 ...I separated in layers for you in SCAL2.

Sing...like no one is listenng

When I was young, I took guitar lessons.  After months of practice, very little improvement was seen.  I started singing to compensate for my poor guitar skills.  However, my singing skills were even worse than my guitar playing.  Since neither one could compensate for the other, I was begged by family and friends to give up the venture of singing and to please put down the guitar.  I'm now a devout "shower" singer ...taking it to the highway at times if I'm driving by myself.  This card is dedicated to the poor souls like me who can't carry a tune in a tin bucket!

The canary is from Svgcuts.com Robin's Return Set.  DOWNLOAD HERE for the birdcages svg file.  The frame, words "sing", and hanger are in a .scut file.  DOWNLOAD HERE for the .scut file.

I'M Back and Ready to go!

My computer died a sudden death or at least it had to go to the Apple Hospital for 3 weeks.  Family needed me in Colorado for most of December and January.  Family friends needed me the month of February.  I'm back to one of my 2 happy places.  One: making svgs, cards and buying wonderful collections from SVGCUTS.com and Two: the beach!

It snowed last Tuesday, and it was 70 on Sunday.  Mother Nature loves to tease us all..haha

I can't take full credit for this design.  I saw something similar at CustomCrops.com and a Cricut Design Studio card.  WELL, they don't make this program for the Mac so I had to be industrious and make my own in Inkscape.  You are welcome to it, but please remember the source if someone asks...that's always the courteous thing to do.  Thanks and hope you enjoy the peek !

(I also added trim around the top and bottom of the corset while in SCAL2.  If you want the trim like I added, you will need to email me so I can send you the .scut file.)

UPDATE:  You can find a great, free file of a " corset " at SVGCUTS.com. When I made mine on Inkscape, I had no idea that there was a corset for free at Svgcuts.com.  I wouldn't had attempted one by myself and put in the hour making one if I had known there was one there.

Please remember to give credit where credit is due.  I do my upmost to follow my own golden rule and try to even give credit for inspiration.
