Headed to the beach (2nd post)

...well, in the near future!  I used this adorable From the Heart Stamps Spectacular Birdbrain last week and made several cut-outs, coloring each a little different.  I'm sooo into "beach mode" so I'm continuing with the theme but using one of the images to play along in the FTHS Challenge #155 with a twist.  I'm following the twist: a circle card.

I'm also entering Cut It Up Challenge #98. The theme is "sun & surf", but be sure to use a die.  Plenty of those here...wading birds, starfish, homemade beach fence, circle cut, glasses and cutting out the image...oops, let's not forget the clouds...haha

5" circle card.  I used pop-ups for dimension on clouds, bird and sunglasses.  Pop-up sunglasses will be removed for mailing but will easily re-stick once taken out of envelop.

I'm doing "twist" - circle card

Life is SWEETER.....

(inside): ....when shared with friends

Trust me...this card was so easy to make!  I used a new July Release set called Black Eyed Susan from Doodle Pantry.  I used the beautiful pre-colored flower images, took them into my Silhouette Cameo program and used the Print & Cut feature.  Everything else were punches and dies.  I already had a stash of clouds, fences and flower pots punched and cut out since I used them so much. The grass and watering can are dies.  (PS I was inspired and cased the talented Kitty Kraft).

Join the Doodle Pantry July Challenge.  You will received a free selected set (Holiday Greetings) for participating, and a chance to win a gift certificate to the store.  Hooray!

A2, copics, grey pearl, pop-ups, distressing, deckle scissors for bottom grass, butterfly punch

Counting my Blessings.....

....along with my sheep!

Some nights are harder to get to sleep than others.  As I begin to count the sheep I also start thinking of my blessings.  It makes me a little more humble at the times I'm having a "pity party"...haha

I have bought several wonderful sets from Designs on Cloud 9 for the future grandbaby scrapbook .. a work in progress!  This set is called "Counting Sheep".  I've enjoyed Evelyn's talents at CUT IT UP .  Her blog is having a challenge requiring a lamb or lion cut file.  This is good practice for one of my future layouts.  I also used a flower punch and a IO flower stem die.

5x5, stitching, copics, cloud punch, pop-ups
I swear the sheep does not have a sunburn!

WITCH PARKING

....All others will be toad.

I've seen this little sign all over blogworld and I've giggled every time, so I figured I might as well employ the little sign too.  I saw a stamp with this scene.  I brought it to my card using Impression Obsession fence trio, a Rubberneck Stamp, a Silhouette witch cut and my own homemade broom svg, along with some distressing using SU ink.

Droppin' In

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Catch the Bug

There are TWO new releases today from Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose the "ssbparachute" for my card.  There's something about these simple faces that always put a smile on my face.  If you don't tire of motivational speakers, go to Parachute , and read a quick, true story about a parachute incident.  It's only 3 paragraphs.

I cut out a white border around my image using the Silhouette Cameo and then another shadow border for more accent.  I made 3 svg clouds, cut them using SCAL 3 and my Cameo and adhered with pop-ups for added dimension.  I used SVGCuts set called Winter Bliss and used the reverse image of the trees.  The fence is from the Silhouette store.

Head over to Catch The Bug and check out some fun cards created by the DT members.

We "woof" you a Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jill
and
Happy Birthday Kristine

Lots of birthdays to celebrate this month. I couldn't resist Well Wishes dogs on fence from Paper Pretties.  My sister Jill has 6 dogs....yup...you heard right and 3 are little poodles.  I thought this would be the perfect card. However, at Paper Pretties we also get to have a little blog hop on a DT member's birthday.  Happy Birthday Kristine! You should have arrived here from Taylor's blog.  After visiting me, you will want to head over to Jackie's blog.

Addicted to Candy Corn

Photo Inspiration Challenge
at Catch the Bug

I love candy corn so much that I ate my entire bag and didn't have any to use for embellishments when taking the picture of my card!
What a fun, photo challenge we have this week. I used Chubby Ghost- candy corn from Bugaboo Stamps.  I love the entire series.  I used Haunted Hemlock svg (a freebie) from SVGCuts and the sentiment from Punkin' Patch Stamps. The outline for the sentiment is a series of FREE svgs to go with the Trick of Treat sentiment set from Punkin' Patch Stamps.
Float over to Catch The Bug and get more inspiration!

I also turned Halloween Rickety Fence jpeg, from Bugaboo Stamps, into an svg to offer a little more dimension in the card.

To be Frank...I Love Halloween

In the next 2 weeks, I will be using a lot of Svgcuts collections, along with my svgs.  Svgcuts is the "best place ever" for ideas, tutorials, help, fantastic prices and fantastic sets of svg files!!! When I start my BLOG CANDY and challenge, the 2 prizes will be for any one set of "your choice" at their store.  The blog candy and challenge will start Labor Day.  More details about the challenge later.

This card is not that "busy" in real life.  All the elements are from SVGCUTS except for my broken fence (and tombstone/ghost)....which is today's freebie. The inspiration for Frank came from Cheryl at Cafexpressions.  I forgot to add the black on face and patches before taking the picture....oops!

Info: Size:A2    Sets: Monster Mash, Spooky Silhouettes, and Hazel's Wicked Witch Craft

HELLOoooooo!

Never too early to get started on Halloween, especially if you plan to get those cards shipped off for OWH. Just something quick I made last night.  I made the fence svg and will offer sometime during week. I made the pumpkin several weeks back but changed it up a little.  Everything else were public domain jpegs that I tweaked and made in to svgs. (Lots of glitter on moon and other places but can't be seen in picture.) If you choose to download please leave a little love by leaving a little comment!
(5x7)  Best to write in "RIP"
5x7 is best size

If you choose to download the svg, please leave a positive comment,,,it would be the polite thing to do...it's just a "feel good" kinda thing!!!
