I've Got the Cookies....

....You got the Milk?
12 Days Of Christmas Challenge
Day #8
at Catch The Bug

The song goes "Eight Maids a Milking".  Today's challenge at Catch The Bug is use "milk and cookies" in your project.  I chose Gus Christmas - Got Cookies from Bugaboo Stamps.

I used the cookie jar svg from Christmas Cookie Party Collection from SVGCuts.  I just adore this set and have used elements from it throughout the year.  Go check it out!

Materials:
Sugar Plums pack from Recollections
embellishments (gingerbread boy and girl)
twine, stitching, copics, glitter

Gus and Stella...We take breast examinations very seriously....

Warning.....adult humor!

A2 size, copics, PS8, stitching, punches, ribbon, embellishments, glossy accents

(inside)...especially every Saturday night!
I brought Gus into the picture because men get breast cancer too. It's only 1% but that is approximately 390 men who succumb  to this cancer. I fell into the 1% of post- back surgery problems.  I didn't like being in that 1% and asked "why me".  I don't think you would want your father, brother, husband or friend being in that 1% and having to ask, "why him".  LINK UP FOR PINK continues with their 2 week  challenge and quest to get the "word out" about Breast Awareness Month.  I continue to post a card every other day with that theme.  Yes, I use humorous cards, but I take the matter seriously and if I can get the attention of just one person to "stop and think", then I have accomplished what I set out to do.

Give a man a fish and......

...he'll eat for a day...
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat drinking beer all day!

Yup....I got the Bug....a Bugaboo Guest Designer position for July and August.  I'm so dang excited and a little nervous.  This is my very first Guest Designer position. YIKES!!! ( However, the DT members have been the best and sweetest to welcome me into their Bugaboo world.)

I was so excited when I saw the "New Release" Gus fishing.....another wonderful creation by Jodie at Bugaboo Stamps.  If you follow my blog to any degree, you know I'm a true lover of water, the beach and fishing.  My "2 happy places" are my craft room and on the water.

Check out all the  inspiration by the super DT members at Catch the Bug Blog.  It's a MUST!!!

Deets: My late FIL had a boat, motor, and hat these colors...so I used these in memory of him. Copics, wave svg (don't know where I got it), post by Heather M., MS anchor punch, metal fish, rod punch.

click on any of the pics and they will enlarge for a better view

Click on pic for larger view

Challenges:
Pollycraft:  (Splish Splash - water theme)
Sweet Stampin: (something old/something new)  brand new image, brand new fish embellishment and  extremely old twine and very old blue paper....haha
Scrappy Frogs:  (use anything red)
Rainbow Ladies: (use a digi stamp)

With the help of my DH, I continue trying to work on my photography skills with his mammoth camera.  I get mixed reviews....some like the outdoor pics and others the plain indoor pics.  ( This one was really hard because of the 3D composition.)  My end goal is simply post something that I hope "you" will enjoy seeing.

How's My Driving? Call 1-800- Shut-Up

Okay...last one of Gus for the week....  I just couldn't resist!  I've seen some crazy drivers in the rain, snow and ice lately and this hit a nerve!  Gus is from Bugaboo Stamps.  He's a hoot!  The pic doesn't make the coloring look to good but I assure you it looks good in person.  The background is a little busier than I'm known for using, but I thought it went well with the theme.  My Gosh...so many people have joined the Catch the Bug (Anything Goes) challenge this week, but I'll enter him anyway.  Added some stitching, svg arrows and a little humor and I'm off to have a cup of hot tea and a donut.....yum!

I love Gus!!! What's he up to now?

This adorable sentiment was on a card I saw about three weeks ago, but I can't remember who or where.  Please let me know if you know.  I wrote her and told her how adorable her card was and would love to scraplift a bit along with the hilarious sentiment.  I'm entering Tuesday Throwdown Challenge (stitching) and the Catch The Bug Anything Goes Challenge.  You must check out Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie and the DT are an awesome group! (As you can see, not many frills and/or layering, but I'm happy with the simplicity of it....

A2, copics, stitching, black beads, Sizzix paper called Country

I love my watermark that Cheryl First was so sweet to make for me.  I wish everyone would use one...then I would know who designed a card that I may have downloaded for future reference and give that person credit.

The problems you're confided in us

.....are not all as bad as they seem.

OPEN UP and the inside reads:

The card is for the Catch the Bug Birthday Blog Hop Wednesday Challenge.  We were to use the following template.  The Bugaboo image of Gus and Stella is HERE.  I used stitching, gems, copics, PSE and circle punches for the A2 card. Amen!
