My blog Has Attitude Award (2nd posting today)


Cheryl First has nominated me as one of her 5 people to hand down this award to.  Wow!  Thanks Cheryl! I wonder if I can give it right back to her?  She's got some pretty lively things happening on her blog that inspire me.

First, I have to tell you three things that make me different from anyone else....

1) I'm a beach lover ....forever and ever and ever.  Even my profile to the right helps proclaim my love for the beach, the water, surf, sand and smells...even the stinky smells that might come with it...haha


2) I'm a retired high school teacher (33 years) from the high school that "I" went to....so you can say I spent most of my life there, but I'm enjoying my new found freedom (called retirement) and REALLY enjoying it.  I still substitute, administered SAT and ACT to special students and love making cards and substituting for a class of Traumatic Brain Injury/ Autism.  The head teacher and her two assistants are awesome people.  And, the money is pretty dog gone good to help support my craft addiction.


3) Everyone needs a bucket list so I'm starting mind...starting with visiting countries I've never seen and even some states I've never visited.  I also want to meet people I've become good friends with through blogs that share my fun and silly passion for card creations.


4) I wasn't suppose to have a number 4, but oh well...my son is getting married May 28...great...can't wait for grandchildren.  I want them before the people running the "old folks home" won't let me hold them....haha


I'm sending the 5 awards (in no particular order) to the following ladies who have all inspired me, helped me, encouraged me, politely criticized me, shared with me, found things for me and/or just "jam up" good people ...

What 3 things make me different from everyone everyone else.  What a hard statement to make!  I'm sorry, I'm no different than other card lovers so perhaps I won't get the certificate.  I love to create svgs for me and other people.  I'm more than willing to help someone with an svg if they can't find one or having trouble with one.  I love mixing digi images with svgs and finding challenges where I can mix the two.  I like introducing svgs, digi images, and SCAL to people who have never experienced these mediums.  I love to see the expression on their faces...they really light up!  I'm like a kid in a candy store when I visit blogs of my friends or new digi stores....I'm left with so much inspiration!

Trendy Blog Award

Thank you Heather at Heather M’s Blog for nominating me for this award!
As part of receiving this award I am to give the Trendy Blogger award to 10 other bloggers whom I think display their talent and time/effort on their trendy blog site. I am also to list two reasons why I started blogging and why I continue to blog. 

1. I originally started  blogging On January 1, 2010 as a New year’s Resolution to offer one svg a week to fellow card makers who love the art as much as me.  I have passed my goal and now average at least 4 a week.
2. I continue blogging because it’s a thrill to see an image I create come alive on paper.  Then, when I share it with others and receive thank you’s, it’s a good feeling knowing that I may have helped some one complete one of their happy projects. As a high school teacher, it was wonderful to help a student master a new concept.  I have the same feeling about me mastering each svg and card and sharing my learning and creations with other card-makers and bloggers. AND... ALL the blogs that I follow REALLY inspire me!!!
