Happy Birthday Christian

He will be "all of 32" and says he's getting old!   Ah, youth, I remember those days and thinking that...haha

Inside says:  You're definitely still HOT! (with a little flame)

I used Dancing Candles from My Scrap Chick.  EVERYTHING is a $1, but the sale is over tonight.   Two cyber card friends made a card using this cut file, but for the life of me I can't remember who they are...senior moment.  The only thing I added was a little shadow/rug under the candles to ground them.  These candles always make me smile!

Teacup Stack

I fell in love with another die....nothing knew for me...haha  This fun die is called Teacup Stack by Poppystamps. I cased Sherry Hester since I'm "into" yellow and black this week.  I also used the sketch by Die Cuttin' Divas for their challenge.

The flowers are old Marvy punches, leaves are a Martha Stewart punch, green parts are Cheery Lynn called Embellishments #1.

A2, circle punches,Silhouette for center circle, scraps of flourish dies for steam, stitching

Your thoughtfulness was TEA-rrific 2nd posting

My neighbors brought over a pan of lasagna while I was sick.  I couldn't eat it, but it allowed my DH not to starve.  Since I wanted to do a thank you card and a card for QKR challenge, I decided to merge the two together.

I used digi 11407 Hello from QKR Stampede. I using it in their Challenge #128: circles.  I bought the Tea Easel card cut file from My Scrap Chick for $1.  It comes with 4 different patterns.

5x5, copics, tea charm, ribbon, silk flower, it has a pocket on top for a tea bag

opened, QRK image

Hello Friend....What's cluckin'?

I bought this adorable "just released" svg set from My Scrap Chick called Shirley, Goodness, Mercy.  It is $1 off till the end of today (Thursday) and then it will go back to regular price.  I see a lot of cut files and this one struck me as "different".  I cut it out using my wonderful Silhouette Cameo.

I made my own pop-up card.  I left the outside CAS since I was putting so much on the inside.  You can't see the bottom of the page, but it's also decorated with matching yellow strips of paper.  I used faux stitching instead of real stitching...haha

I'm entering it into the Silhouette Challenge: use your Silhouette machine and use faux stitching.

A2, mini fancy flourish (mb), Studio Girl sentiment, flower punch, flower jewel

Inside of card, LaLa Land scallop border die, pop-ups for dimension, cut out with my Cameo machine.

Side angle to help so pop-up

Fall Harvest

My friend, Deloris, told me about  Fantabulouscricut.  The criteria for challenge is to use my Cricut Expression.  You don't have to use a cartridge and I can use my own svgs or bought svgs. I made a shutter card. Therefore, I took two pictures. ( I'll try to post a svg later today...but we are trying to fix the hole in the kitchen...so I'm a little busy today.)  This is also for the challenge at Creative Card Crew, the Let's See Some Dimension challenge and Meljen's Design challenge.

Teacher's Thought For Today! (+ Friday Freebie!)

These will be the last 2 cards for our education theme challenges for Scrappily Ever After. Friday is always "Photo" inspiration day.  I decided to make TWO cards.  The first card has a classroom teacher theme...obvious since I was a high school teacher.  I used a Bugaboo "Crabby Cathy" digi, and public domain picture of pencils and a flag. It's also for Lorraine's Simon Says Stamp  and SimonSaysStamp challenge.
Size: A2

The shaped card was made using the "Pencil Guy" from My Scrap Chick, using the same sentiment.

Size: A2

The svgs for Halloween are created just for fun, not to offend anyone.
  There are 2 Friday freebies.

Tomato Dreams

.......If you follow my blog to any degree, you see I "dream" a lot.  My friend "Reet" just displayed a picture of her first crop of tomatoes on the Svgcuts.com forum.  Being from the South, we have already been blessed with our first crop.  I love fried green tomatoes!  And, if you are from the South, then you know what a "true" tomato sandwich is....white bread, tomatoes from the garden (not the store), Duke's mayonnaise, salt and pepper.  I didn't say it was healthy....I said it was Goooooooood! Don't forget to eat it while leaning over the kitchen sink, for the juice will be dripping down your arm even if you did try to wrap it in a napkin. (I made the wheelbarrow, tomatoes are from Veggie Garden Part I at Svgcuts.com, bear is from Bears Camp Out  at My Scrap Chick. Yup, it's a shape card that opens.  I did some inking, and used a button for the hub cap.

Stress wouldn't be so hard to take....

".....if only it was chocolate covered."  I also changed it up to say, "Another birthday could be easier to handle...if only it was covered in chocolate."  (These open up.) This was a purchase from My Scrap Chick called Ice Cream Bar.  They have had some super sales.

I usually post an svg and then display how it can be used in a card.  It really helps some people take a plain looking svg and then see how it can be turned into something fun and interesting in a card. But, I'm traveling today and will not be home till Friday.  Off to the beach I go!!!!  Yippee    I will post svgs still, but no cards.

I had big plans for this "Scales of Justice", but can't do a card while I'm away!
(No Expiration)
