Tags for pies and goodies

2nd post today!

I finally bought a new freezer.  When I moved, I really thought I could live without one.  I was in denial....for I love baking, freezing and giving gifts of food to my college son and friends.  With the smoked turkey leftover from Thanksgiving, I made many smoked turkey pot pies.  My freezer is full of Shepard's Pie, Chicken Pot Pies, Coconut Pies, Pumpkin Rolls, spaghetti, lots of different soups and the list goes on and on.

Anyhooo, my family and friends don't swap Christmas presents, but what is allowed anywhere from Dec. 1 - Jan.31, homemade goodies for the giving.  Yum Yum  And, that's where Charliene Baking from Doodle Pantry comes in to play.  Laurie does a wonderful job with her images and coloring so this image was perfect for quick little tags for some of the food.  I chose NOT to use traditional Christmas colors since some of the goodies might not be given till after Christmas.

Be sure to join in on our fun December Challenge #53 for a change to win a GC.

  1. Cely, these are all so precious! The recipients of the goodies will treasure the tags more than the baking!!

I also wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful comment you left on my blog today about my Mandarin Duck (doodling). If you're interested, I just posted a real quick post with the finished product! Thanks again! Your comments really meant a lot! here's the direct link: http://www.crystaldolphins.net/2014/12/17/zia-mandarin-duck/

  2. Brilliant tags and a great idea swapping home made goodies.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year :o)

  3. Sounds yummy! Love those cute tags!

  4. What a great tradition. It really takes the pressure off to find the perfect gift. Food is always appreciated, especially home made, and your tags are the perfect touch!
    Merry Christmas, Cely!

  5. My mouth was watering long before I ever scrolled down to the tags, Cely! If we lived closer together instead of on opposite coasts, I'd do everything in my power to get on the list of 'friends' who get home made goodies. :-D Love what you did in making the tags.
I'm going to be MIA on visiting for the next 2 weeks as I travel around the country visiting family for the holidays. Merry Christmas to you and yours and may your New Year be healthy and productive. Hugz.

  6. How cute are these and they're even personalized! You know, we really do need to be closer to trade goodies!

  7. What a fantastic tag for your yummy goodies. I only wish I lived near you so I could be on the receiving end of a delicious pot pie. That is really an awesome gift to give.

  8. Love this; and like the others, I only wish I lived closer. Great idea to swap goodies instead of gifts. Love that you used the "pie" image for Chicken Pot Pie...duh, never thought of that until I saw it. Too cute!! Merry Christmas to you!

  9. Hi Cely, yum! Your freezer sounds like it is full of yummy things to eat. =) Such darling tags - what a fun idea!
    Hugs, Sarah T
