Sweet Baby Smith

First, the lighting is bad....I know
Second, need opinions if you can get past the bad lighting

I have three different pictures with the grass and gate....which one do you think is more pleasing to the eye?

12x12 ...with gate and grass

...with just gate

....with just grass

The letters and date are loosely put on since I have to change the name once they announce it.  Of course, the date can change too.

This is the last page.....which by the way, is the first page of the scrapbook...haha

My First Days

I'm down to my last page spread other than the intro page.  I really struggled with this one....trying to match the personalities of my son and DIL.  Anyhoooo, keeping their ideas and my elation "in-check" was a bit hard with the theme for this page.

The images are from Studio Girls.  I tried to do a digital scrapbook page to print out and I struggled with it not knowing the "ins and outs" of this procedure; therefore, I decided after being frustrated with the whole page, to just use the Print & Cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo for the onesies, clothes line and bulldog clips.  (But, this affords me to enter into the Silhouette Challenges - Print N Cut this month.)  I used a frame/border/label die from Cheery Lynn and a Spellbinders picot circle die.

Smiles, smiles, smiles

This is the right side of the page to the "Precious Little Parts".  I think the two will compliment each other. Well, that's the plan....haha  Again, I was inspired and "cased" something I found on Pinterest, but I guess I don't understand how to find the original post to give credit.

I added a little bit of my own whimsy and plan to put another sentiment "You make us smile all over our face".  I'm too tired and lazy to take another pic.  Ok, one more page and then the cover.  The 1st birthday pages will be put on hold until they have a theme as the 1st birthday nears.

Precious Little Parts

Okay...I'm down to the last two pages for the "1st year" scrapbook.  I'm ready to take a break and get back to cards.  On this layout, the pages don't carry the same theme, but I worked with the same colors. (Right side of page posting later this week.)

This may not look too interesting right now, but the finished photos attached will be great.  Shannon's stepfather is a fantastic photographer, so he can capture the images I am wanting for this page. Below my scrapbook page is the inspiration and the CASE.  I looked hard to find the original designer on Pinterest but to no avail.

Under Construction

To start....I apologize for the terrible lighting.  I tried taking pics outside....too blue!  I tried taking pics inside (won't fit in the lightbox)..too yellow! However, "I" know the colors look just fine and I'm happy with the results.  I may change the sentiment on the right side and the "first" pic is missing on the left side, but I wanted to go ahead and take pic.

Under Construction is from Scrapping Bug Designs.  The die label on right is from Clear Dollar Stamps, but I don't see it anymore. I used the EK mini pennant punch and made a shadow using my Cameo. I also used an EK flower punch, Silhouette cut-file and MB filigree die. ( Also, Doodle Bug jewels, ribbon, pearls, stitching, brads, pop-ups and K & Company embellies.)

12x12 - left side (top left photo is missing)

This is how they came to our house to announce that it was a GIRL!

Dream a Little Dream

When does any baby or child look the sweetest?  Sleeping!!! So, I just had to dedicate a double page to "sleeping innocence".  I chose the set "Time to S-moo-ze" by Little Scraps of Heaven.  So sorry for the outside lighting pictures.  Anyhoooo, I'm keeping 5 pages very soft and girly and the other 5 neutral just so it doesn't look like the same thing all the way through the book.

Watch Me Grow...

This is my 5th paper scrapbook (double layout) page.  I will be stopping with this one until we find out if my son and DIL are having a boy or girl.  ( I also made the banner, elephants and frames in pink if we find out it will be a girl....haha)

I got the giraffe from Little Scraps of Heavens set called "Watch Me Grow"and the monkeys from Treasure Box Designs called "Going Bananas".  I made the elephant svg and can't remember where I got the tiny monkey cut file. I've been working on improving the eyes by watching videos by a lady from Peachy Keen.
