Easter Egg Shaped Card

This Fancy Easter Egg cut file was a freebie at Miss Kate's Cuttables yesterday.  It came with 4 different designs.  I can't believe this was free.  It was so easy to create.  I left off the last layer and decided to add DP on the bow.

A2 sixe, pop-ups on bow for dimension, wink of stella on butterflies and flowers

If you look carefully you can see the matching green stand for the egg to stand straight

Bunny Belly Box - Spring (2nd post today)

So many challenges....so little time...so I have to double post some days!

Cut It Up Challenge #67 is under way.  Theme:  Spring: Anything BUT A CARD!  I bought Bunny Belly Box #75114 (Lori Whitlock) at the Silhouette Store on sale for $.50...couldn't be more pleased and it came together so fast. I think a bunny says Spring...don't you think!

The hair bow is purple.  Purple and white are my hardest colors to photograph.  Do you have a color that is hard to photograph?

google eyes instead of black circles, pop-ups for nose and feet, grey distressing on edge of bunny

decided to add a smile, but drew it in pink "after" I took picture...oops

Smile...

Inside:  Spring is here!

Love the Mini Bunny Blocks Set from Bugaboo Stamps.  I'm entering my card in their SSS #305 Sketch.  I colored in PSE.  The "Smile" is from Woodware Stamps.  I colored and used my patterns from Silhouette Design Studio.

A2, CAS, used pop-ups for dimension

Angle view to show how I printed out the outline of "smile" then added the pieces on top

Love Tree and Spring Time

It's gonna be 5 degrees tonight, but I feel Spring in my bones so I'm making some happy cards.

The Love Tree is from Designs on Cloud 9.  They are having a 60% off sale because they are closing the doors at the end of the month.  However, you will be able to buy most of the cuts now at the Silhouette Store like this one.  I also used MB rabbit on one, and Lawn Fawn birdie on all of them.

I cased my friend Evelyn.  Fell instantly in love with her card but of course I can't just leave things alone.  I can at least take off animals and clouds if I change my mind and I have waited to put on a sentiment.  I made at least one blue to send to my brother.

A2,  Spellbinder curve stitch die, Fiskars cloud punch

Hoppy Spring....Hoppy Easter

I've been fixated on the tree trunk hole for several cards.  This is my last one..haha  I used the rabbit from the Doodle PantryCritter Tops set.  It comes pre-colored and b/w images with lots of critters.
I am entering this in the challenge "Bring on Spring" at Chocolate, Coffee, Cards.

A2 vertical, stitching, 3 dies from Poppy Stamps and Memory Box,  copics,  pop-ups

Paint yourself a Happy Easter

I have always loved colors and paints...just hate painting walls in my house!  Art was my major in high school and one of my majors in college.  I was born too early....I love computer, digital and graphic arts...no such thing back in 19...   haha

Easter Ants is one of Doodle Pantry's March releases....love'em!!!  I used the pre-colored version for my swing card.  I made all the cut files (paint bucket, paint brushes and clouds). With the help of some copics, stitching and pop-ups, I am happy with the results.

A2 size, also used Poppy Stamps grass die

used a bird charm and this is another way to display swing card

Resurrection Star

Today is Doodle Pantry Release Day...yippee! Today I also start my 6 month tenure as a DT with the gals at Doodle Pantry....another yippee! I had the opportunity to create a card with Resurrection Star.  The set comes as B/W outline, color, sentiments and matching papers.  How great is that!

I went outside my comfort zone to try my hand at these mixed mediums.  It's not exactly as I had envisioned, but you know how that happens sometimes....haha  I colored with copics, but honestly, the card I made with the pre-colored by Laurie is what I will use over and over again. Frame and Basic Lattice are from Spellbinder dies.  The ferns are from Memory Box dies.

Head over to the Doodle Pantry Blog March Challenge and Doodle Pantry to see this month's releases.  Don't forget to participate in the month challenge (starting at noon) and receive free, the DP Easter Ants.

A2, stitching, lots of pop-ups for dimensions, layering of cross

Rabbit heading home

I saw this darling card on Pinterest and had to CASE.  It still makes me giggle when I look at it.  Except for one extra oval shadow made in Silhouette, everything was done with punches...oops...I also used a leaf die from Poppy Stamps.  My friend Cheryl shared with me some insect embellishments.  One card has a bee and the other a ladybug.  This is a replica of my "derriere" when I'm on my hands and knees looking for lost punch pieces...haha

A2 vertical, stitching, bard embossing folder (Holtz), pop-ups, inking edges

A2 vertical, bubble bee embellishment

Happiness is an unexpected hug

I put the sentiment on the inside this time.  I made several of these cards.  Another sentiment, "Consider yourself hugged today".  This is "Hugs and Chicks" from Inky Antics.

I followed the sketch for the Digi Sketch Challenge.  I was going to colored the flowers, but it is snowing here (a rarity) and my flowers are white from the snow...so I went with the moment....lol

A2 vertical, me and my copics

Recollection plaid paper
Chloe Stem and Prim Poppy Memory Box dies

Hiding the Eggs.... (window and flower box svg)

When I was a little girl, there was something thrilling about sitting in our living room window and then jumping out....totally getting yelled at by my mom.  I graduated to jumping off the roof of our house and swinging in trees like a monkey.  What was I thinking...maybe that's why I have back problems today...lol

Bugaboo Brat - Bunny Girl from Bugaboo Stamps was a perfect choice for  challenge theme, "think pink bunnies", at Cutie Pie challenge.

I used one of my favorite svgs I made a few months back, the open window and window box.  Grass punch, vine and bird are from the Silhouette store.  Scraps of DP, stitching, lace, egg brads, homemade faux brick embossing folder and pop-ups help create the illusion of the little girl sitting in the window.

You can purchase the window and flower box for $1.50.  If comes with 4 different sets of windows, including an arch window with snow.  Email is under "View my complete profile".

Jelly Beans......(+ freebie) and oops update

You may have seen a card similar to this last week, but I promised a friend that card for Easter AND there is a challenge at Cooking With Cricut, so I needed to make another card anyway but a tad different to qualify.  So, here it is with a little bit different interpretation.  I created the jelly beans in Inkscape, turned into an svg, took into SCAL and then cut with my Cricut Expression. They were my "freebie" last week.  I also made the circle shapes in Cricut shapes and cut. I colored with my "trusty dusty" copic makers, lots of inking and some stitching.

A2 size

Eggs...Eggs...Eggs

I don't have a free svg to offer this evening, but these beautiful eggs were made from the  Easter Egg Collection from Svgcuts.com.   It's hard to see some of the embellishments, but I used dragonflies, pearls, jewels and swarovski crystals.
