Apple Market

Oh Yes...it's apple time. We drove to the mountains to get our 1st supply of apples for making apple butter, apple desserts, apple fried pies and apple cider. And, of course, on the drive back we had to stop and get some hot boiled peanuts...yum yum!

Apple Market is the From The Heart Stamp of the month - October.  I've been playing along in their progressive challenge in which I receive the next month image "free".

I'm also participating in the weekly Sketch of the Week with a Twist No. 83.  I chose the twist...sponge.  I sponged the front of the card, the sky on the inside and the grass, along with a little sponging on the die cut leaves.

It was cold and very windy at the apple market

A2, grass and tree die MB, vellum cloud, wet embossing, Lawn Fawn birdie

outside, Doodle Pantry Autumn Designs and large leaves from Silhouette Store. leaves and acorn

inside angle, leaves from Fiskar Fall border punch, pop-ups on clouds

If their is one card die that is a "must", it is the Karen Burniston Lots Of Pops die.  You could make an svg but it is  quicker to just grab this die and cut cut cut.

  2. Ok Cely! Now you're just being a big ol' show off! First, the outside is GORGEOUS! Never done this technique, but it sure is pretty and you managed to fit in those DP images again (and those leaves are perfect). The inside, well, that's just plain impressive. Great tree placement, little apples in the grass, and birdie in the cloud. So much to admire.

  5. Sounds like a fun day and your home is going to smell so awesome. We grow apples on a few trees here and make applesauce and dehydrate them. I never get to doing the pies and hubby doesn't like apple butter, I do.. I've never had boiled peanuts. hummm. I love the card you made and the apples are yummy. Wonderful. Like the photo of you both.

  6. Hi Cely, don't know how you miss my posts but you do get there eventually LOL.
Thank you for your glowing comments on my merged image cards. You don't need special photographs to do them, just take any scenes on the beach, in the meadows, in the woods etc and add you chosen digi image to it. If you haven't got graphics siftware then just open your photograph in Word, then add your png digi image over the top of it and print!
I love this gorgeous Autumn card.
    Lovely photograph too :o)

  11. Oh, this takes me back to childhood, Cely -- both mine and that of my kids. Apple picking in the fall; the drive up into the hills, eating apples in the car on the way home, and the smell of apples everywhere for more than a month! Delightful card and thanks for the trip down memory lane. :-D
