2nd posting today "Thank You this Moose"

As I have been saying for several days, I'm finishing some thank you cards and all will be mailed tomorrow.  I'm really enjoying the Lindy's Stamp Gang stamp sets that Deloris got me hooked on.  The moose came from the "We Moose You" gang.  I'm also trying to make 8 of each so I can give as presents....seems like family and friends would rather have some homemade cards rather than any other type of gift.  I will take that as a compliment and run with that thought....haha

Both are A2 size and  I used copic markers along with sewing and embellishments.

Zodiac Signs

I'm working on some thank you cards, but wanted to do some svgs and began scratching my head "thinking".  It occurred to me that I have many upcoming birthdays....so why not do some zodiac symbols.  I will do 3 a week, plus other things I will be working on.  This one came from a coloring book page that I cleaned up so it would cut nicely.  The symbol would be great for a school project...my son could have used this 2 years ago in class...too bad and too late...haha

I've been at the beach!

I have been away for 4 days.  I went to Pawley's Island, SC.  It's only 180 miles from home, but I live in the "foothills"whereas Pawley's Island is a beautiful beach on our SC coast.  It is hard to imagine that it snowed Christmas Day and the past few days I have enjoyed walking the beach in 72 degree weather.  There was no internet connection there, so it forced me to really relax and enjoy walks on the beach, basting in the sun, enjoying the sounds of the ocean and seagulls and smells of the surf, along with being with family and wonderful old friends.  I just returned home a few hours ago only to see all the warm New Year wishes on my email along with phone messages left.

I'll be back tomorrow with an svg...hopefully...haha

PS  I met my New Year's Resolution for this past year......started a blog..... stayed with it the whole year and offered at least one free svg each week.  I managed to post 194 svgs so that just about averages 3 svgs a week.  I haven't totally decided on this year's resolution....will post tomorrow.

Moooochas Grassias Deloris (+ freebie)

I have several thank you cards to send, so hope none of those people are reading my blog today...haha

No mojo yet, so I totally scraplifted Deloris' adorable thank you card.  Just to add a personal touch, I added some scallops to one, along with some ribbon and a button I dot-painted with a brown copic marker to match the cow, but I totally love Deloris' just the way it is.  The cute stamp is from the set called Bovinia Buttinski's Gang from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  Okay....thought this would help get "my feet wet" and help get my groove back.  Slowly but surely! I've decided to entered this in Rhonda's "Anything Goes" challenge at The Latte Lounge.

Been busy....but rollin right along....

I had such high hopes of baking this holiday season...but that vision flew right out the window.  I saw a rolling pin drawn my Tim (don't know last name) and took that idea after holding my wonderful old rolling pin that belonged to a great-grandmother.

I have no mojo!!!  I'm so far behind that I don't know where to start in card-making.

I'll start with an svg. I thought of putting a Peachy Keen face on it....."Rollin right along", recipe for love, rockin and a rollin....

Need Your Inspiration

Seeking help from my friends and followers....

I would like to offer some prototypes of pretty, fun, different wedding invitations to my son and his fiance. I did the "Save the Date" simple cards.  They want a simple traditional wedding and will be staying with black and white.  I don't know her flowers yet, but any flowers will do right now for a card sample.  I'm thinking of a side step card or a slider card.  An easel card could work too.  I'm thinking 3D of some type.  I need some inspiration guys.  I want something different, but in good taste.  I want something for people to say..."wow...that's different, or how unusual and how pretty!"  The people receiving these cards are not "into" card crafting or familiar with our work and are use to the usual wedding invite.  Please help with the mojo.

I also want to keep the postage down to no more than two stamps.  Flowers are certainly doable and small flat buttons and ribbon, svgs and small pop-ups for dimension.  (I'm looking at 85 invitations.  Wedding is May 28, 2010) in her church chapel that holds 200 people with a reception to follower at the Natural History Museum...You can make-up all the details.  I can buy any punch and I have lots of Martha Stewart punches and borders already.  I'm needing design help....so HELP HELP HELP!

I will begin posting some fun svgs in the next few days and getting back on track, but this is "SO" on my mind.

Christmas 3D tree card

I used a folding method I learned from a card workshop I took not long ago.  It's the same fold, but you cut the paper 5 different sizes...graduated.  The paper has a glimmer and sheen, but does not have sparkles.  I used lots of little red flat paper shiny gems.  I have only been able to find them in a specialty card craft stamp store I patronize when I have a little extra cash....so you know I don't visit it often...haha   I used a little corner punch for the corners.

      I'm really hurrying to add this to the Operation Write Home challenge.  This is the first card I've done in 3 weeks.  But in the evenings, lying in bed, I've been working on some svgs to post real soon.  Finished up my 80 "Save the Date" cards yesterday and delivered.

Missing in Action

     Please don't give up on me.   I'll be back.  Teaching in the mornings and administering ACT in the afternoons.  I'm also working on "Save the Date" cards for my son and his fiance....sent them the prototypes today and when they choose I will have about 80 to do by next Tuesday....so I'm busy.  The extra money will definitely help with my craft addiction.  In the mean time....I hope everyone is enjoying the hustle and bustle of this time of year, staying healthy and safe. And, it's ICY COLD here!

Finished the Valentine cards for OWH

These are not all, but a sample of some I did.....sending 45 cards to Celeste.  I didn't quite make 50, but I hope that I helped a little for a wonderful cause.

Still an issue with downloads

I'll be posting the last of my Valentine cards tonight, but in the mean time....on to a continued problem I'm having....... When someone ask me to send them a svg that is no longer posted, I really don't mind as long as they are a follower, but I'm rarely given an email address to send it to....oops...ended in a preposition!

REMEMBER: If you email me for a file, you must give me your return email address.  If you make a request for a file in the "comment box", the request comes to my email, but it DOES NOT give me your address...so I can not respond or fulfill your request.

Gosh....I wish this problem could be solved.

...it moose be LOVE

I took my moose svg I offered a few weeks ago and re-constructed the antlers to meet my needs for Valentine's.  Does anybody notice what I did to the antlers?  Again, keeping it simple but fun since I'm doing so many.

Un "BEE lievable Love

     A freebie bee svg!  I cut 2 in SCAL and reversed one to make a mirrored pair.  I plan to put different sentiments on the cards....some more silly...to reach different needs of the military personnel. In order to make a lot, I can't spend too much time on any one, so these are very quickie cards, but I still think nice enough that anyone would enjoy getting....well.... I hope...haha

Stylish Award...POOF and it's gone!!!

I was given the Stylish Award from Christel from Scrappin Sista.  How wonderful and thoughtful!!!  I have spent the last "2.5 hours" writing info, writing 8 facts about myself, thanking her  and picking out 8 people of "new" sites I have enjoyed learning from and just getting great mojo.  THEN POOF....one button and everything was gone....gone I say...and everything was saved and now gone.  I can not retype everything.  Christel...thank you for the award and I just LOVE her title for her blog and her wit and personality in her cards. I can not accept the award since I can not retype everything, but I wanted to show I can win something every now and then...haha   Thanks again Christel!

Need Some Help and Suggestions....

...from my followers and lovely people who leave comments.  Very nice people leave me comments and some also request svg files that are no longer posted. In most cases, I don't really mind emailing the particular file to them.  However, many of these people ask but DON'T leave an email address.  NO ONE should post their email address in the comment box in order to maintain their privacy.  So please....if you want a svg that is no longer available do two things: 1) Be a follower, 2) email me from your personal email so I can reply; otherwise, there is no way for me to send a file.  I SOOOOOOoooooo appreciate the wonderful comments that are left and would like to acknowledge these inspirational messages.  Lately, the comments have really given me a much needed boost when I have been "a little" down lately.  My email address is under my "Profile" picture and history.

Dove of Peace

Where have I been?  So busy!  I've been cutting out lots of svgs for a workshop I'll be doing next week with some very special high school students. I'm still not finished.  I'm also trying to get started on Valentine cards for OWH.

Anyhooo...I offered the svg a few weeks ago for the card below.  The card is for my neighbor who will soon be starting to celebrate Hanukkah.  One of my students is also Jewish, so I'm cutting the pieces out for her to put together in the workshop.

The svg freebie today is just another dove you might like better.   It was a public domain image that I cleaned up and made into an svg.

Reindeer card

       I've been on hiatus!  Lots of things going on and finally over my ills....I just had to take a few days off.  Now I'm a few days behind...haha  I did this quick little card, but forgot to take a picture before sending.  I used embossing folder on front of card, swirl embossing folder on reindeer, a shiny rhinestone red nose and google eye, pretty ribbon and stitched around the front.  I chose to use the 2 piece card instead of the one you fold, but I will post both.  If I get another one completed tomorrow, I will post. You message will slide down in the front pocket.

Winter Scene

 My 2nd entry to the Svgcuts challenge.  I used elements from Christmas Cookie Party, Santa's North Pole Workshop, Camping at Fox Ridge, and Winter Bliss collections. You can see the "2 deer" in one of the last photos. My svgs are the Santa and reindeer and the church.  I also made a snow covered rooftop for the cabin from Camping at Fox Ridge. (PS: My inspiration was Brenda from Bren's Designs).

Christmas Goodie Jar (svgcuts challenge)

        I'm allowed 2 entries to the svgcuts monthly challenge.  I met requirements, but what do you think about me entering this as one entry?  I made the glass jar svg.  I aligned and cut the jar strategically in SCAL.  I then placed the cookies and candy between 2 pieces of acetate clear sheets like a sandwich....sorta a shaker card, but the cookies don't shake. ( I cut a slit in acetate for the gingerbread man and peppermint sticks to stick out of jar mouth.)

        I was also trying for something a little old, a little primitive.  I sewed the edges along the card and on the sentiment. I used raffia to attached the sentiment, inking, glossy accents on the jelly part of cookies and silver balls on sugar cookies....just like when I was a little girl...yum yum!  I used elements from svgcuts Christmas Cookie Party Collection. ( I'm posting different angles of card to help you see what I was trying to accomplish.)
