Shopping For Two...Baby and Me

(This card was posted for about 15 min. 2 weeks ago before I realized I posted wrong, so I immediately took down.  One or two of you may had seen this before the removal...oops) Most friends know that my son and darling DIL are expecting their first child.  That being said, it will be our 1st grand-baby.  I will continue to send her little cards along the 9 months...of course, I haven't forgotten about my son, but this particular card is for her.

This is Pregnant JJ - Shopping for Two from Bugaboo Stamps.  JJ's a hoot!  I have three fun images of Pregnant JJ I will be using over the next several months.  I added a silver purse charm for a little extra fun... afterall, she IS shopping!

Cherry tomatoes and wheelbarrows

I have made 3 different cards with the Cherry Tomato set from Doodle Pantry.  I drew a wheelbarrow image and saved as a png so I could merge with the tomato image.  I doubled the image to fill up the wheelbarrow.  I used copics on the wheelbarrow, tomatoes were pre-colored and background is DP from set.

The picture below is in my poor un-kept backyard flower garden.  I haven't planted my flowers in the wheelbarrow at time of photo.  The azaleas aren't quite ready to bloom. Today, all the azaleas are in full bloom and I need to take an updated picture.

I get a little crabby...haha

...well...we all have those days...now don't we?

I get so excited thinking about the warmer weather which means shorts, swim, summer, seafood and the sea! So, it was time to pull out my summer images.  I chose Doodle Pantries Quirky Crab set. I'm also playing along with the OWH sketch challenge

Adding some netting and starfish brad were the extra touches to help make it complete.  Think I will make a few more....quick and easy and I think my friends will enjoy receiving.

Flip Flop Days

That's right...those days have already started here! Flip Flops are the "glass slippers" of the South!  Being a Southern Girl, I have at least 8 unique pairs.

Flip Flop Set is another Doodle Pantry April release.  Have you found your summer flip flops?   I kept this CAS.  If you are like me, time is rushing by so you need something fun, quick and easy to tell someone "hello". (Can you see the beach chairs in the photo?)

Join us for this month's Doodle Pantry Challenge.  You will receive a free complimentary set just for playing along and have the opportunity to win a $15 gift certificate to the store.

Happy Birthday Lia

Lia is my new SIL.  My brother Steve, and Lia, live in Denver so I don't get much of a chance to visit them.  I'm sending her a "funny" card and this card for her "upcoming" birthday.

The free cutting file (Rose Card) is from Bird's Cards.  She's so generous to share her talent.  I added two flower die cuts ( Chloe Stem and Prim Poppy) from Memory Box.  The sentiment and punches are from Fiskars.  I also added lace, ribbon and stitching.

Sweet Cherry Tomatoes

My garden is planted and the tomato cards are made!  This is mid-month release day at Doodle Pantry.  One of the releases is the set Cherry Tomatoes!  It comes with all the trimmings: outline and colored image, sentiments and designer paper.  I've done several different versions.  Here is the one for today.

I colored with copics, used some scrap green rafetta, and just to be a little silly, added my own sentiment.  Yes, repeating two of them several times was "on purpose"!  haha   I kept it CAS!

Nothing like a clean bird!

Yup, I'm still on a roll with birdies and birdbaths.  Watching the birds from my sunroom, they entertain me for quite a while with the washing and splashing in the 3 birdbaths we have in our little backyard garden. I must admit that I think I have some of the "cleanest birds in town"...haha

I'm using the pre-colored Birdie in Birdbath from Doodle Pantry.  I was inspired by Jan's sketch at She's Gone Digital .

Baby Makes Three

I made a mistake and posted "Shopping for Two" when this is the one I wanted to post since Catch the Bug was having it's weekly Stella Says Sketch #34 challenge.  Oh well! UPDATE: I took down "Shopping for Two" and will re-post later this month....hope it works...haha (Challenges below)

AKV-Expecting is this week's freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. Hurry and get it while it's still free.  I tweaked the sketch to suit my needs. I TOTALLY CASED Lola's card.  Pretty CAS (clean and simple)!

I danced like no one was watching....

(Inside):  My court date is next Friday.

Bah ha ha ha!   Now how could someone turn a beautiful sentiment into something silly? But, I have to admit, I hooted when I saw it.  So I did another card with Ballerina Eunice from Art Impressions and used the sentiment that my friend Lola sent me.

I did 4 of the these cards but each having tad different designer paper. (Nana Connie shared this great DCWV paper.)  I have several friends (2 males and 2 females) who could use a little extra laugh just about now.  The slippers, I thought, were from SVGCUTS, but they're not, but they have a great pair there for free.  The slippers are from  the Silhouette Store.

A2 horizontal, stitching, flower punch, pearl, pop-ups and copics

Same size, used Paper Studio paper pack...tears easy and not happy about that

Cards for Men:  Humorous ( Please don't reject me.  I'm sending the bottom card to my dear in-law who is very sick and each week I send him a funny card.  Eunice is not who I would call feminine.  If you do reject my cards...it's still going to him....haha)

Yum....blueberries!!!

We have blueberries in out backyard....not an orchard where we could harvest bushels, but enough to fill a gallon bag, minus fighting the birds for them.  I know when it is time to pick and guess what.....the birds know too!!!

Berry Nice Mice is one of Doodle Pantry's April's releases.  In the set: mice with blueberries (like mine) and some mice with raspberries in a different pose, lots of sentiments and super digital DP to boot.

We would love for you to join in on this month's Doodle Pantry's April Challenge.  Also, there will be a few more new releases in mid-April...so stay tuned.

Made mistake with measurements.  It is a 5.5x5.5 instead of a 5x5. I made the fence, vine and blueberry svg.

Side view, MS border punch, Poppy Stamp Grassland border die, pop-ups for dimension, window die is my svg and is for sale.

The Beauty of Dogwood Blossoms

Ahhh yes, the dogwoods are in bloom, temp is rising, loving the feel of the sun on my face and beauty of our dogwoods in bloom.

It's April Release Day at Doodle Pantry.  Stay turned for  another "release" toward the middle of the month.  I have the honor of creating with the Texas Dogwood Set. (It comes pre-colored/b/w, matching papers and sentiments.)  Be sure to participate in April's Challenge (starting at noon) in order to receive a pre-selected set and a chance to win some free sets.

All I chose to do was cut around the image, adding a lovely frame and including a pretty poem with the image on top...anything else would had taken away from the simplicity/beauty.  The process was pretty quick and easy, so I made 4 more to send to friends.

Let me paint you a picture.....

....it's Spring, it's warm, it's my kind of year, will next to Summer!

Another Dearie Doll image "Daffodil Girl" by Mary Ellen....this is the last for this week, I think!  Yellow is a real challenge for me. However, when it works, I'm happy.

I've kept it CAS.  I'm joining the Lexi Creations Challenge #37 with this card.  I used the Fuchsia Sprig die from Memory Box, a 3" circle EK scallop punch, and a Fiskars open scallop border punch.

Dust off the watering cans...

.....Spring is here!  Well, at least in South Carolina...yippee!

I used another sweeeeet Dearie Dolls images.  As I sit in my sunroom, I see the birds very busy taking baths in the birdbaths and making nests in some of our birdhouses we have scattered in our little backyard garden.

I got carried away and bought all sorts of charms on Ebay to use on my cards.  I thought this little watering can charm was the finishing touch it needed.
