I danced like no one was watching....

(Inside):  My court date is next Friday.

Bah ha ha ha!   Now how could someone turn a beautiful sentiment into something silly? But, I have to admit, I hooted when I saw it.  So I did another card with Ballerina Eunice from Art Impressions and used the sentiment that my friend Lola sent me.

I did 4 of the these cards but each having tad different designer paper. (Nana Connie shared this great DCWV paper.)  I have several friends (2 males and 2 females) who could use a little extra laugh just about now.  The slippers, I thought, were from SVGCUTS, but they're not, but they have a great pair there for free.  The slippers are from  the Silhouette Store.

A2 horizontal, stitching, flower punch, pearl, pop-ups and copics

Same size, used Paper Studio paper pack...tears easy and not happy about that

Sentiment on the inside of each card

Cards for Men:  Humorous ( Please don't reject me.  I'm sending the bottom card to my dear in-law who is very sick and each week I send him a funny card.  Eunice is not who I would call feminine.  If you do reject my cards...it's still going to him....haha)

Perfect Picture

This is my very first real scrapbook page.  I did a scrapbook for my oldest son through the years and through 4 years of college, but not having cutting machines, dies or designer papers.  Do you notice that with each child you take less and less pictures?  Well, I'm guilty.  My other son is now in his first year of college and I have yet to do any type of memory book for him...well, it's time and better late than never!

My inspiration and casing came from Cheryl at Cafexpressions.  She's been great guiding me through the best steps to approach a scrapbook.  Most of the cut files came from the Summer Blockbuster  Set at SVGCUTS. com.  The 2 puppies are from the Puppy Love Set from Kadoodle Designs.  I think it may have been discontinued as of 4 days ago.  The small movie projector was a file from Cheryl.  This book will focus on the first year of life.  I'm wanting traditional colors and then gender colors.  I'm giving myself 2.5 months to finish.  (Taking pics of such a large area is very hard...haha)

12x12 - left side ( Yup, haven't placed the pics yet!) I made the star glasses svg.

12X12 - right side

sorry about lighting...colors are the same but lighting monkeyed with it!

You're Never Too Old

Good Grief....finally made a card after being on a 2 weeks hiatus!  I don't have a sentiment for the card yet.  I love this little lady from Art Impressions so I finally sat down and colored her.  Something about this old gal that makes me smile. I decided to follow the sketch from Catch the Bug for their Stella Says Sketch Challenge #130.

The paper is from the "Latte Stack" from DCWV....wish I could find some more.  The ballerina slippers are from SVGCUTS.

Explosion Box for Shannon

I hope it is true that great things come in "small packages"...haha  I needed a way that would be fun to present my DIL with a Groupon and money....her Christmas present.  I just didn't want to present them in a card.  You can see the Groupon folded on one side and the money will be on the opposite side.

I did Santa's sleigh and then placed flying reindeer at different heights.  When the box is opened everything seems as if they are flying (movement). I created a sleigh and reindeer svg last year and the other reindeer is a MS punch.  The poinsettia is from SVGCUTS.com from the Wintergreen Collection.

I'm entering this in Joan's Gardens challenge: decorate a box to use at Christmas

Helmet for Hunter

Promise, Promise....this is the last sport related card for at least 3 weeks.  I made this for Hunter being male, an athlete, sports fan and a USC Gamecock student.  I don't do enough "man" cards, so this being football season, never better than the present to get started...haha

I used Game Day collection from SVGCuts to make this a football helmet shaped card.  Mary has sooo many wonderful sets and the svgs are clean, precise along with excellent directions.

University of South Carolina.....Go Gamecocks!!!!

Are you READY........

(inside)....for some FOOOOTBAALLLLLLL !

I'm totally not in the football zone.  I know nothing!  My son goes crazy when I asked 100 times during a game, "Why did they do THAT?" My son appears to know everything about football plays....haha  He should be prepping to be a coach rather than majoring in chemistry...lol

I used Doodle Pantry Football and Helmets set.  I changed one of the colors to be a USC helmet and added the USC logo (TM), and added the darling Doodle Pantry Ant Accents.  Those ants crack me up!!! I used the football svg from SVGCuts "Game Day" set.

I'm sending this to Hunter.  He is an athlete himself, a USC student and a big Gamecocks fan! Hunter pulled is foot up and rested it upon his other knee.  HOLD ON....there's more.....he took his shoe off by himself!  There's MORE....he later made the same move and took his sock off!!! Go Hunter!

Gosh...used about everything on this card: copics, stitching, glitter, embossing, die cuts, twine, button.  The strawberry vine and berries are from the SVGCuts set called "Strawberry Lane" and a freebie strawberry svg. Double Down (lots of handmade strawberries) for 4 Crafty Chicks challenge.

Droppin' In

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Catch the Bug

There are TWO new releases today from Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose the "ssbparachute" for my card.  There's something about these simple faces that always put a smile on my face.  If you don't tire of motivational speakers, go to Parachute , and read a quick, true story about a parachute incident.  It's only 3 paragraphs.

I cut out a white border around my image using the Silhouette Cameo and then another shadow border for more accent.  I made 3 svg clouds, cut them using SCAL 3 and my Cameo and adhered with pop-ups for added dimension.  I used SVGCuts set called Winter Bliss and used the reverse image of the trees.  The fence is from the Silhouette store.

Head over to Catch The Bug and check out some fun cards created by the DT members.

A2, copics, PSE, stitching, pop-ups for fence, boy and clouds

Teepee Card

I was commissioned to do a birthday card, but the request had me "scratching my head".  The theme had to include birthday, a ballerina, and a specific beach scene sent to me of the little birthday girl.  Putting that all on one card seemed impossible since I couldn't get them to relate and only had two days to complete card.  Teepee card popped into my head.  The card folds flat and fits into a 5x7 envelop.  These pictures are not the greatest, but I am in a hurry to get the card to the purchaser this morning.  I decorated the envelop with her name with sea creatures and balloons streaming down.

I didn't want to add to much to this side since so many other sides were already a little busy

Picture of the birthday girl running toward the surf

Her beautiful name. I lightly taped the name so she could play with the letters or remove them to put somewhere else

Gift Box

One-Piece Boxes
from
SVGCUTS.com

Mary and Leo, owners of SVGCuts, offered this marvelous set of one-piece boxes for free....as a thank you and Merry Christmas.  I'm not sure if it is still free, so you had better hurry over NOW to check out.

I needed something quick and simple for a last minute gift card holder for my son for Christmas.  He loves Lowe's so I whipped out this "man paper" and made this box.  Mary was ABSOLUTELY right....it's quick, simple and darling.  I also made Box #5 for my DL that I will post later.

Just Hangin' Out at Home...Come Join Us!

I did this card almost identical from a card last Wednesday.  I wanted to show you how versatile this Breezy Backyard Lever Card Set from SVGCuts is and to continue introducing some of the fun new stamp sets from Punkin' Patch Stamps.   I added my own sentiment and my own svg torch. The ghost is a freebie svg also from SVGCuts.

I love that this card will hide a little battery operated tea light behind the yellow mulberry paper to add some fun ambiance and that it folds to fit an A2 size envelope, minus the tea light.

Word of Caution!!!!

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Bugaboo Stamps

EVERYBODY has a bad day now and then!  While I was teacher, I made a pact with my students.  I said, "I will let you know when I'm having a bad day and you do the same for me and that way we will all survive the day."  We all liked to "joke around", but some days were NOT those days.   The pact worked 99% of the time.  We all did our best to respect each other's bad days.  My students were so kind, they even told me when I was having a bad day when I didn't even know it..lol   Ahhhh, youth!

I used Halloween Skeltz (NR) and the fence svg from Spooky Silhouettes Set from SVGCuts.  You really need to go lurking over to Catch The Bug and see what other creations have been brewed up.

FREEBIE FRIDAY
at Bugaboo Stamps

Well GUESS what!!! I've been invited to join Bugaboo Stamps as a regular Design Team member!  What a wonderful honor and invitation by such a tremendous, talented team!  YIPPEE!

Margaret Teach , the FREEBIE this week at Bugaboo Stamps is at it again.... giving advice. LOL As a teacher, I loved my students, and was committed to getting them to "stick with it and graduate".  Some hated me for it, but once graduated, thanked me and all was forgiven.  I told them I was their biggest fan and supporter and would help them as long as they did their part too.  I still teach but as a substitute and still desire for each child to walk across that stage with a diploma in their hand, be it at high school, adult ed and in some cases, jail.

I also used cheerleader (freebie) from SVGCuts and megaphone from Game Day SVG Collection.  I mentioned this set last week (8/28/11).  What a fun fun fun school set!

TV night with friends!

NEW RELEASE Day
at Paper Pretties

I saw a little "magic window" card and wanted to try one.  Of course, there were no correct instructions so I spent a good part of the day figuring it out. Fun and a little different.  If my image was smaller I would have had more options, but this is the image I wanted to work with and introduce as one of the two new releases at Paper Pretties. (Don't forget....each comes with sentiments!)

I also used a super duper cute free svg from SVGCuts called TV Night.
