This is my very first real scrapbook page. I did a scrapbook for my oldest son through the years and through 4 years of college, but not having cutting machines, dies or designer papers. Do you notice that with each child you take less and less pictures? Well, I'm guilty. My other son is now in his first year of college and I have yet to do any type of memory book for him...well, it's time and better late than never!
My inspiration and casing came from Cheryl at
Cafexpressions. She's been great guiding me through the best steps to approach a scrapbook. Most of the cut files came from the
Summer Blockbuster Set at
SVGCUTS. com. The 2 puppies are from the
Puppy Love Set from Kadoodle Designs. I think it may have been discontinued as of 4 days ago. The small movie projector was a file from Cheryl. This book will focus on the first year of life. I'm wanting traditional colors and then gender colors. I'm giving myself 2.5 months to finish. (Taking pics of such a large area is very hard...haha)

sorry about lighting...colors are the same but lighting monkeyed with it! |
They look terrific! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Yes, always better late than never, too. I don't know how you can make scrapbook pages without the photos. I've tried that before, but then my photos don't work into the layout I've designed. When I scrapbook, I have to start with my photos. Maybe that's why I like making cards even more - nothing to "fit in!" LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start to your scrapbook. I have yet to take the plunge. My kids got scrapbooks of just pics and papers that I kept through their high school years but nothing fancy. Maybe I'll start with the grandkids if we ever have any. This is marvelous. Just love those star glasses on the pups. You are so talented!

ReplyDeleteGood for you what a 'noble' task and one I wish I would take. I have so many books full of pictures of my son's journey through childhood, now to put some of them into a scrapbook, how fun that would be, No time right now however..... Love your page , fab layout!
