Egg beater and mitt svg

Got up a little earlier this morning and made my son some blueberry pancakes.  I couldn't find my egg beater.  Do you remember the old-fashioned egg beaters?  I like antiquated kitchen utensils from when I was a little girl.  I sure remember getting tired of turning that arm to make whipping cream.

I haven't used this yet but did manage to cut out the egg beater for a test run. Being that this is an svg, if you have the Professional Studio software for Silhouette, you will be able to use this.

Happy Teeth (freebie studio file) and svg file

UPDATE:  Made svg file

Good morning everyone....I'm a little behind on offering svgs and .studio files for the Silhouette.  I am changing over more and more to .studio files, but trying to save them as svg for some of you followers.  I haven't made a card yet with these 2 smiling teeth, but thought I would go ahead and share.  I forgot  where I got the image but cleaned it up and changed into a cut file.

Crafters have been writing me letters asking for the file in an svg.  All I ask is to leave a little love by leaving a comment of thanks.  A quick little comment goes a long way with making me happy....lol

A Piece of my Heart....

Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug

Heart Fairy from Bugaboo Stamps is the darling image I chose for this challenge.  The challenge: hearts, lace and pearls.  Join the fun challenge at Catch The Bug.

I downloaded the Cake Slice Box from Silhouette for free when I received a $10 voucher with my Silhouette Cameo purchase.  The files are $.99; however, there is a free one each Tuesday and sales where you can purchase files for $.50.  I resized the inside for a plastic condiment holder and added a slot for a gift certificate.  I made this for my DIL....she loves Lindt chocolate and Starbucks...great combo!

Heard you caught a bug (freebie svg)

I so enjoy learning that one of my cards has been a "chosen" winner.  It doesn't happened that often and it is thrilling to hear it was "hand picked" by the design team.  This one was chosen by Eat Sleep Stamp.  I also love the way they offer a sketch each week.

Scroll down regarding freebie.

Bugaboo Stamps

I usually offer an svg that goes with my theme for that day, but I've been a little behind.  Also, I'm doing more svgs in the file form for Silhouette called ".studio".  You will be seeing more of those and less of the others....that will be disappointing for some followers.  I have the eClips and it cuts like 'buttttter", but the files you can buy at the Silhouette store, ease of the Professional Studio, along with the AMAZING Print & Cut feature, is the best of the best for "me".

Download:  Cupcake  (svg)
Svg will be available for 5 days...unless I forget to take it down...haha

Footprints in the Sand....

It's never an easy task, but there will be those certain times in your life you must do a sympathy card and that was one of those days for me yesterday.  A long-time friend past away yesterday.  He was a true fighter and kept his sense of humor till the very end.  He will be soooo missed.  He was a lover of the sea, mountains and the golf course.

The image is from Lighthouse Pyramage from Stampin Dragon.  (The inside has the old time favorite "Footprints in the Sand" along with a sand dollar cut-out.)  But, I must tell the truth....my friend Cheryl brought me a beautiful bag upon her visit to South Carolina.  I couldn't find anything as beautiful to use for my card.  So, the love she put into this bag, I lovingly took the lighthouse off to use on my card to be sent to my friend's family. I told Cheryl what I had done....I wanted her to know it is with highest respect and admiration of the wonderful bag she made I felt the need to "pass on" a part.

Oh Yeah.....it is still icky sicky season.  I have some friends who have the bug...flu bug.  Bug Jar - Bee from Bugaboo Stamps was the perfect image to use.  The sketch challenge at Catch The Bug was perfect timing to inspire me to make my card.

Ingredients: My Mind's Eye DP, MS leaf punch, glitter, 2 flower punches, pearls, a scallop rectangle die cut (svg) I made, pop-ups for dimension, stitching and copics.  Except for the image, all papers and flowers were scraps to make cards....boy...that's fun! Want A Lick? (Chosen Entry)

Chosen Entry for "Make It Monday"

I want to thank Make it Monday for choosing my card for this past week.  What a pleasant and wonderful surprise! You can't go wrong with a Kenny K image and the inspirational photo by Catch The Bug at Bugaboo Stamps!

She (Troublemaker) "does" look like she could get into her share of trouble. I chose to focus on the pink roses and greenery in the photo inspiration challenge.

A Cupcake Kinda Birthday...yum yum!

This month's "Top Notch Artist"
(2nd posting today)

This month, I have the honor of being the Doodle Pantry "Top Notch Artist".  WOW....thank you very much!  With this honor, I have the priviledge of making a project with one of Doodle Pantries February New Releases.  I chose Cupcake Ants.  Aren't they darling!

PS....I ate my cupcake prop right after the picture shoot!

I used a cupcake box and flower swirl I purchased from Silhouette.  However, I changed the design by adding a heart in each scallop and increased the size of box by .75" to hold the yummy cupcake. I created a tag using the Cupcake Ant image.  Using copics, ribbon, pearls, bow, leaf and SU window punch, I say I am please with the results.

Faux Brick Embossing Folder Tutorial

Wednesday Tutorial
at Catch the Bug
sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps
(1st posting today)

Yup, I could order Tim Holtz brick embossing folder, but I thought I would make my own.  So I made a vertical and horizontal faux brick embossing folder to meet my needs.

I have a few pictures here to share showing the end result.  I felt a video would be easier than writing all the steps.  I'm such a visual person!

Still set my nights on fire!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

My DL and I have been married 32 years come this May!  Love, trials and tribulations.  I guess we are in it for the long haul.  In a few more years, someone will have to haul "us" around...lol  No, not really...we both still have some "giddy up".

I used Dude Time Doodles image called Howie HotHotHot!  I used a fireman hat from Silhouette and made my own ladder svg.  Look closely and you will see the acrylic teardrop I used for the water drop...pretty cool huh!  I'm happy with the results...hope my husband will be too!

Can you see me now???? (2nd posting)

SSS 104 Sunday Challenge
(Stella Says Sketch)
at Catch the Bug

I think Garden Cat - Pots image from Bugaboo Stamps is such a darling!  When I saw the sketch for this week and found this background paper I just knew I had to marry the two.  Do you see the mother bird bringing the worms to the babies in the nest on the background paper?

I used a flower I won in a challenge, a leaf punch, sizzlit swirl die, pearls, watery drop for center of flower, stitching and copics....all on a 5x5 base. (I love shades of browns.)

Check out the other inspirational cards at Catch The Bug and join us for the fun challenge!!!

Smitten (1st posting today)

Birthday Monkey - Topper from Bugaboo Stamps is what I chose to create a card for the Come and Get Em Challenge which I have the pleasure of helping introduce.  Challenge: red, white and pink.

I masked off the hat and replaced the balloon with a pink, metal heart, applying with a thick pop-up.   I also added pop-ups on the monkey for added dimension.  The heart tree is from Silhouette.  I cut out "smitten" on my Cameo and used a MS heart punch.

"Friends".....

(inside) ....share their lunch!

You can tell by the image and colors in my card that I am sooooooo ready for summer!  The image reminds me of my school friend, Angela, who shares her lunch with me when I rush in to the high school at the last minute to sub and don't have time to prepare a meal.  She always shares her food...now that's a friend!

Doodle Pantry is having a challenge (#11).....just use any of their images...easy peasy! When you post your card, you will be sent their newest release...FREE!  I used a Silhouette watermelon svg(for lack of better term).  I love this paper...it really made my mouth water and hunger for some fresh fruit and wishing I was in Florida with my son and DIL.

Ingredients: die cut, punch, rhinestones, paper flowers, word embellishment, stitching, some copics.

Coffee Lover...

....Yup, that's me... Coffee Lover...feel the love with my coffee!

Lace Challenge at : Oldie But A Goodie

Coffee Time - May Your Cup and Coffee Time - Perk Up from Bugaboo Stamps were two fun images I married to make my window card.  I did something similar weeks ago but I used the tile technique. This time I am using a window die (svg) I made. Coffee lover and little hearts on cup.

I have the pleasure of helping introduce the "Oldie But  A Goodie" challenge using lace and incorporating in my window card. Other ingredients: ribbon, button, twine, cup svg, embossing on window, stitching, PSE8, SU punch and pop-ups for dimension on window.

I also made my own faux brick embossing folder.  I will be doing a tutorial February 22.

Bean Sprouts

ABC Monday
at Catch the Bug

ABC Monday means "anything but a card". Well, I'm back on a kick growing my own bean spouts.  I enjoy watching things grow.  I've even been told I like watching grass grow under my feet!  (I don't think that was a compliment..lol)  Anyhoooo, I pulled out one of my glass canning jars and then I became "a growin fool!"

Just for the fun of it, I decided to decorate the jar since I like to "watch things a growin'".  I used Coffee Bean - Spoon from Bugaboo Stamps and turned into a svg die.  Sorry, I can not share this svg/die. I simply masked the spoon and added a sprout to his head.  (I got permission from Jodie to do a little altering.)  Using different colors of vinyl I went to work.  I'm please with both my sprouts and my sprout growing jar.

Head over to Catch The Bug and see what else is sprouting up today on ABC Monday.

A Loving Hello

Saturday Challenge: Anything Goes
at Catch the Bug

I used Kid Pocket Topper - wavy hair from Bugaboo Stamps.  I made several svg windows the other day. I used the one with the window appearing "opened".  I also made the svg flower border and svg flower box.  Memory Box sells dies like this, but I can't afford to buy them all, so my husband gave me a Bamboo Fun.  I drew up the images and took them into Inkscape and made svgs.  I cut out girl with Silhouette.

I made emboss lines on the window (top and bottom) and the flower box.  All coloring is with copics.  There is a tiny pearl heart on the flower box.

Head over to Catch The Bug and check out other ideas the DT members had for the inspirational photo below.

A2, stitching, pearl, lace, die cuts, copics, pop-ups for added dimension

The window and flower box svg is not available as a freebie.  It can be purchased for $1.50 which includes 4 sets of windows (including flower box), and including an arch window with snow drippings. My contact info is in upper left hand corner.

A Little Tea will cure your ills

OBG (Oldie But Goodie) Day
at Catch the Bug

Raggedy Nurse was the perfect image for my project.  I have a friend who's a nurse and she herself has been "under the weather".  I enclosed all types of wonderful aromatic teas, a small container of honey, and some Biscotti cookies.  I figured she could pass it on to a sick friend, being she's a nurse.

With my wonderful Cameo, I cut out my 3D teapot from Silhouette.  This one is rather large so there was lots of room inside for goodies.

I accidentally forgot to color hair for photo, so I have also included the touch-up on raggedy nurse.  Head over to Catch The Bug and see other fun "oldie but goodies".
