Happy Birthday Dad

My DH's birthday was not long ago.  My son approached me about a birthday card for him.  I told him I would help him with paper choices and sketch to select from, but I was not going to help him beyond that.  I would supply other things if he couldn't find them himself...like the tape and how to use the Big Shot.  ( Why did I insist on HIM doing it...you may ask?  My DH gave me no card for my birthday ... not even a gift.  I even suggested a little note would thrill me.  My birthday came...nothing...not even a note.  Therefore, I wasn't about to make a card for DH and I really think the time my son put into his father's birthday card would be remembered and mean more at the end.

So here is his card.  I keep a small box of colored images and die cuts ready for a "moment's notice" and he chose the fun From the Heart Stamp called Birdbrain Brew and a beer mug I had bought awhile back from Silhouette.  I'm very proud of his completed card.
A2, Stampin Up window punch, Sizzix Square Flip-It Die

Inside...his note is on the back

  4. Well done. Your son did a great job. When I first saw the card and saw the colored image, I thought what wow coloring and he must take about his mom. Then I read that you keep a box of colored images on hand... Bet your husband love his card!
