When I am down in the dumps, there are several good friends that help lift my spirits. I could also say, " You lift me up when I am down, You lifted me up, Thanks for the Lift, Flying by to say hi"...you get the picture. Doodle Pantry is having a challenge and making this card was perfect timing. I used their DP ant balloons digi image. I tried to keep it unisex. I LOVE these ants. I prefer them on paper rather than ME !!!! ( I've been working with shading and wanted light coming from right. Practice, practice!))
I made the balloon and it's shadow svg, and used DCWV Luxury Pack along with my copics, stitching and SU punch.
UPDATE: I left off burnished orange border on first picture...here is with and without...you judge!

I just love those crazy ants, don't you?! I love the colors you chose for your card and the balloons you made, too. I think I prefer the card without the orange border behind the ant image - somehow it seems to be distracting my eye. Thanks for playing along at the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge this month!

Oh my gosh... Those ants are adorable. Love the sentiment too. Great job!
ReplyDeletesuch a fun image and perfect with this sentiment..would certainly make anyone's spirits soar! Amazing how that extra touch of orange changes the whole feel of the card! I like them both!
ReplyDeleteOMG! OMG! OMG! You rocked this!!! I totally LOVE it! Your shading is remarkable, and the colors you used on this......wow! You go, girl! :0)
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable card, and I like the second one with the orange border, it helps make the image pop up. Thanks for playing along with us at Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 18!
ReplyDeleteThose ants are so cute. I like both versions but I think I like the one without the orange border just a tiny bit better.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick I think I might prefer the first one, but wow, both cards views are wonderful! I just love how you coloured the image ballons and the shading looks pretty good to me! Well done! Thanks for joining the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #18.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, great colours and those ants are f-ant-astic :o)

So fun...I liked all the sayings and I prefer the card without the border. It's nice to be asked our opinion. Your shading is spot on! Great job Cely.

Love your card - the ants and balloons are too cute and of course love your stitching!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, Cely. It has a richness to it ;- ) You could go with either one, but I think the orange border make the image pop and pulls it together. Have a great weekend ;- )
ReplyDeleteWow, this is such a wonderful design...love both cards, the one with the orange pulls in your great balloon ribbon, but the other one stands alone just fine without it. Your papers are lucious and I love the stitching. What an elegant, gorgeous creation. Thanks for sharing with us at Doodle Pantry and hope to see you again soon.
