One Last Valentine...I think!

I have a friend who loves cats.  I think this Dearie Dolls image will do just fine.  I was inspired by Stephanie from Stephanie's Stampin Spot.  It's CAS but made with love and friendship.

A2, twine, buttons, stitching, forgot to add shadow before taking picture.

Bandaide Male Nurse

My son graduated from The Citadel...Military College of the South. However, 3 years after graduating, he decided to go back to school...nursing school.  His wife is a nurse anesthetist, so maybe there will be two in the family in a few more years.

Several people that I follow on blogs have done cards with bandaids or images with bandaids.....I just couldn't wait any longer to try my hand at one and use it on Stella Says Sketch Challenge #129 at Bugaboo Stamps.  The image is called AKV Male Nurse - Bandaide.  I used my go-to homemade RX symbol svg, but this time I left the heart out in the center.

Heart Hot Air Balloons

I made this heart balloon cut file using my Silhouette Cameo. For the next 5 days, if you would like the file, email me (please don't ask in comment box because it will not leave me your email so that I can send it)....I'm more than happy to share.  This isn't an svg...it's a studio file....sorry svg lovers!

I made three, changing each a little.  No stitching this time...haha  I used 2 new $1.87 Darcie embossing folders.  The cloud....I took a paper towel and just dapped a little blue on to each cloud and the wicker design for balloon basket.  The mountains are hand-cut, and the EK banner punch was used for the words on the balloons.

A2, cut off some of balloon to give a "movement" effect, twine, heart punch, sun embellishment

A2, center this one, used eyelets for banner, dragonfly embellishements

More Dino Heart (2nd post today)

I did a few more cards using the same sketch and darling "Dino Heart 1" image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I change the paper, words and silver embellishment and added some ribbon to meet criteria for a Catch the Bug Bingo Challenge...oops.... too late....it's over....oh well!  The BFF is going to stand for Best Family Friend.

Hello...OMG...

...it's been too long since we have talked!

Well that is the sentiment I'm sticking with for this card.  Time flies and then you realize how long it's been since you got together with a friend or relative.

I used Dino Heart 1 from Bugaboo Stamps.  What a sweetie image.  Joan's Garden's challenge has been hard for me since I'm not one to do much pink and white on cards but I'm giving it a second try.  My inspiration was Lola from Little Card Maker.  I've done my Valentine cards so I've attempted to make this card a go-to card that I can use throughout the year.

Barefoot Yoga

Our good friends/family DIL is leaving a state job to open up her own yoga studio.  Her last name (before marriage) was Barefoot.  The studio will be called Barefoot Yoga.  I made her a quick little card congratulating her on her new adventure.  Made all the cuts in Silhouette Studio.

Get Well Soon... (2nd posting today)

While making "get well" cards for men, I thought I would do some for my lady friends. Dearie Dolls Digital Images is an awesome place to get some amazing free images...black/white and pre-colored.  I love Ellen's work.  She even writes poetry. This image is called Dearie Dolls Mousy Nurse (colored).

Joan's Garden challenge calls for pink/white, a heart and pretty border.  I adorned the border with stitching, a RX svg I created, and a plastic medicine bottle embellishment.  If you want the RX svg, please write me (don't ask in comment section because it will not give me your email address).

A2, RX svg I made, stitching, stitching, copics, pop-ups, ribbon, med bottle

Ruff Day?

I couldn't help myself...I had to buy this darling Mr. Spike from Clear Dollar Stamps.  I needed it for 4 male family/friends that needed  a "thinking of you" card.  Gosh...this must be a bad month for men.  All the one's I know are sick or injured.  I hope that doesn't mean us women are doomed next month!

My inspiration and CASING is from Linda at Stamper's Touch.  I made 2 cards, but had to turn around and make 2 more...all will be in today's mail.  Hummm...I better make a few more for "stand-bys"!

I bought the Big Bite Crop-a-Eyelet and Punch.  OMG....  I'm eyeletting my brains out and loving it! I used a 3" scallop punch, paw punch, stitching (hard to see) and some copics.

A2, twine, brad eyelet, pop=ups,  DCWV Guy Stack and Safari

Coffee and Friends...

.....are the Perfect Blend!

I know, it's been used to death, but I still love the sentiment.  I didn't start drinking coffee until I was 45.  I forced myself to drink and like it because my friends and I would go to a coffee house for gossip  talk, coffee and dessert.  As much as I was having a good time, I felt like I was missing out just drinking water.  My husbands says I have learned to ruin a good cup of coffee by "foo foo-ing" it up.

Anyhooooo, back to the card.  The window svg is mine which is always for sale for $1.50 (comes with 8 different windows).  The ivy tendrils and curvy stem is a Poppy Stamp die.  I also used the Primula Blooms Memory Box die. (Oops....where are my manners...I used a House Mouse image...house mouse stamps is what got me hooked on card making.)

I'm not a "pinky" sorta gal, but I indulged since I love a challenge and wanted to participate in several challenges, one being at Joan's Gardens.

A2, stitching, hearts on vine, pop-ups, copics

(inside)...I forgot to add shadowing before I took picture...oops...sorry!

What's the buzzzzzzzz

...... in your neck of the woods?

I couldn't help myself....I pulled out an old giraffe cut from Create A Critter from the...hold your breathe....a Cricut cartridge!

I am into CAS cards these past few weeks and wanting to do some fun, silly kind of cards. It was only suppose to have one bee, but when ink falls on your background paper and screws it up, you have to rethink your plan...haha  (I made four of these cards since they were so CAS)...ok...

Can you tell I'm ready for Spring!

Vintage Typewrite Cards (Last 3)

Here are the last three typewriter cards.  CAS (clean and simple)....they will all be in the mailbox by the end of the day.  I used sets from Hero Arts and House Mouse and a vintage typewriter ribbon spool svg I made.  How many of you remember these old typewriters? My inspiration came from my friend Cheryl at Cafexpressions.

A2, stitching, embossed lines, funny scissors, pop-ups and svg

Vintage Typewriter Cards (CAS)

I really NEEDED to make some "thank you" and "you are my type of friend" cards.  I considered these  quick and easy, but then I always want to put some type of svg embellishment on each card so it takes longer, so I have to stop and create it...haha

I made 6 "somewhat" different cards using the Hero Arts Typewriter set and a House Mouse image.  I will post three today and the next three tomorrow.  Again...CAS

Look Mom..No Ears! (Plus..LOVE card)

"Before" the cut
My little shipoos love to gnaw on each other .... to the point their ears get terribly matted.  I usually do all their grooming but they were at the "point of no return".  The groomer had to shave their ears.  They look like they don't have any ears.  Well, at least, they can gnaw on each other's ears to their heart's content....haha

"After" the cut

The second item "up for business" is the second card I did with the LOVE word cut file from Bird's Cards.  A wonderful, quick and easy freebie file.

First Digital Scrapbook Page Ever (2nd post today)

I have yet to start on a scrapbook for my youngest son who is now in his freshman year at college.  I decided to try my hand at a digital scrapbook with the help of Celeste (a very long time cyber friend) at Touched By A Butterfly and using My Memories Version 4.  I have seen no tutorials, but the program is user friendly.

There are a lot of freebie files to help with the digital scrapbooking.  So until I know what I'm doing, I will use "freebie" stuff before making any purchases.  I used a freebie file from Zena's Place.  Lucky for me she used the same colors as my son's school colors.

Again...this is my first ever...so be nice...haha

12x12, but I also did a 8.5x11 for digital frame

Hello Kitty Waste Bin

Along with a little gift certificate, I put together this little Hello Kitty trash can for a birthday present.  My friend, an adult, loves Hello Kitty.  With the help of a $2.98 container and the "cut file" from my friend Cheryl at Cafexpessions, I think my friend Angela will like it.  Besides...she asked me to do it..haha (Have you PRICED a Hello Kitty trash can!...Good Grief)

stopped raining so too advantage of the 68 degree weather

LOVE word

CAS is how I would define this card which appealed to me the moment I saw it at Bird's Cards.  It is a freebie cut file.  The only thing I changed from the example is me adding some embellishments...just don't think it needed anything else.  I did two of these in different papers.  I'll show one today.

Warm and Toasty with Friends

I made wintery and warm and toasty cards.  Sending one of these cards is strange when it's going to be in the mid 60's here.

I took a little liberty with this delightful Doodle Pantry image called Cocoa Ants.  I used the "pre-colored" image, but colored the ants with copics. Having an extra window card laying around, I took advantage. As I looked outside my house I noticed all the brown branches, so I added the same to my card. I used a crimper to add a curtain topper, but it's had to see.

A2, Holtz brick embossing folder, twine, branch die, metal embellishment

A very very very  older rub-on sentiment I found cleaning the craft room yesterday

The Perfect Shot (Warning: Racy!)

My "in-law" is a huge camera buff.  During the next 6 weeks I continue creating fun, uplifting cards for him.  I used Bugaboo Stamps "Sassy Gal Nurse" image.  I used a Silhouette Store camera file and added my own embellishments to it. I made a strap from leather strips. It has silver buttons, but looks black in the photo. ( I checked with his daughter and wife regarding the image before starting and they loved it..so it's a go..haha)

Hang In There

"Hang in There" is another great "go-to" expression to put on the front of a card, leaving the inside to finish the sentiment like:
.....another birthday is coming
.....Spring is almost here
.....Physical Therapy is almost over
.....the weekend is almost here

The more manly one is being sent to my in-law.  I'm leaving the more girlie one without a comment for future use.  Yup, another Doodle Pantry image called Balloon Ants. ( I used the pre-colored balloon, but colored the ants with copics.) I cropped off the last ant to have a larger image for the card.  My inspiration comes from Deloris at Stamping at the Lake.  She's great at these circle easel cards.  I don't find them easy, take more paper than usual, but I must admit, they make the card interesting than the standard A2 card all the time.

Same card almost closed...ready for the envelop

little more girlie...somewhat Springy...reminds me of a strawberry...lol

Friends Fur-ever (2nd posting today)

I made a card/box like this last year using different images and papers.  I loved it so much and it being easy and fun to make, I thought I would try again and entered it into the Clearly Inspired Challenge.  The theme is "puppy love'...well, if this isn't puppy love, then I don't know what is...lol  So sweet!  The stamp image is from Inky Antics called Best Friends.  I have a friend whose birthday is nearing . This will be perfect to hold the gift certificate.

More days that just stinks

This is a continuation of yesterday's post.  I did yesterday's card on the manly-side.  Today, I'm posting a more girly one and a neutral one.  I have another male relative that just had shoulder replacement surgery so I can send him the neutral one....another good reason to make more than one for "those emergencies"....haha

Again, beloved images from Doodle Pantry..."Quirky Skunk" and "Nature Calls".

Some days just stink

I was inspired by Sarah at Papertree....taking the Quirky Skunk and Nature Calls images at Doodle Pantry to a whole new level.

I'm making a series of cards for an "in-law"...keeping it manly and light-spirited.  I did this card in a girlie and neutral version which I will post tomorrow.    Anyhooo, I hope he doesn't take offense to the sentiment. (Can you see the 3-D roll of toilet paper...lol)

One ring-a-dingy....

I was sooo excited to receive this Vintage Phone set as a gift from a cyber friend from Doodle Pantry.  The image is from Doodle Pantry.  Laurie has been doing some vintage scenes for the last several months which I adore. I also incorporated the Ant Accents...my "go-to" images. The cards are CAS but I wanted all the attention to go to the darling image.

I made 3 different card versions. I'm trying to make manly cards for an in-law to let him know my family is thinking of him especially during the next 6 weeks.  I will try to send a card every 5 days.

Each card has a different metal embellishment...miss you, friends, and hello

Moosh thoughts of you

I just finished this card for one of our still "pretty-new" in-laws.  He's a Clemson fan so I chose to add some orange and purple.  This was a darling freebie "moose" from Little Scraps of Heaven about a month ago. You may have to write and ask and it maybe now in the $1 folder.  I chose an easel card to display it.

Labrador card

I have several friends who have labradors.  One friend's lab actually hates the water...little strange..lol  Anyhooo, here is a Cottage Cutz die along with a Holtz embossing folder with lots of pop ups for dimension.

I'm entering this in at the challenge at Cat's Creation Scrapbook...Wow Wednesday.  You really need to drop by there, participate and enter for a chance to win some yummy blog candy.

An-udder birthday

Cheryl, at Cafexpressions, became a cyber friend when we were both collaborating on SVGCUTS.com forum over 4 years ago. Little did we know, her living in Michigan and me living in South Carolina that our paths would personally cross. She and her family moved to West Virginia...ok...a little closer.  We continued our shared interest with svgs, cutting machines and digi images. Heading to the beach with another friend, I called and asked her to join us...see did.  We all had a grand time coloring and making cards. She fell in love with the SC beaches and our weather.  1 1/2 years later, due to her husband's business, the family moved to Greenville....what were the odds. What's a little ironic, is that we still spend more time conversing on the internet or phone than actually visiting each other's house...haha  We manage to take some trips to the local craft stores together. If I ever run out of glue, at least I know more glue is just 6 houses away...lol

This is her birthday card.  I was instantly attracted to it when Doodle Pantry posted it this morning as one of their new releases....and there still a sale going on at the store.  Moo Sheep comes in black/white and pre-colored, along with fun sentiments and matching paper which I also used. I TOTALLY CASE'd Jennie Whittaker's fun card.
