You're so tweet!

We're moving! It's chaotic, tiring and expensive....and it has kept me from card creating! I met the nicest lady who had just moved and was unpacking her worldly possessions. Feeling terribly broke, I stopped my car and asked if I could have any boxes she was discarding and leaving on the street. "Sure", she said, "help yourself".  I felt like I had just won a jackpot.  Moving boxes are expensive and she saved me a lot of money with her generosity.   I made her this "thank you" card....seemed perfect since it was all about her house and my house and this adorable "birdhouse" image from the Doodle Pantry Tweet Hello set.  This was a set that was sold at Clear Dollar and will be re-introduced at the Doodle Pantry Store in December.

In the meantime, join in on the November Doodle Pantry Challenge #40 for a chance to win a wonderful gift certificate and the opportunity to receive "free" the  Snowman Pile set.

Made it an A2 shaped card, brad, bird charm and MB branch, pop-ups for dimension

  4. I thought you had already moved, but yes, it's really time-consuming, back-breaking WORK! You'll love your new place, though.
This is a fantastic card as usual. I love the unique shape of it, and of course the happy bird!

  6. That is such a adorable card, Cely! I'm sure she never expected one which makes it even sweeter. Are you leaving Greenville? We've always said we could never move. We had too much stuff when we moved in here and since we've added our son and rooms of furniture, ha ha. It gives me a headache to think about it. Also makes me want to take a nap ;- ) Good luck with all the packing and organizing and thinning.

  7. Such an awesome card! It truly looks 3D. So are you staying in the same city of moving farther away? My son just got a job in Florida and left today since he starts work on Monday. He's hoping to get an apartment this week so we can move him next weekend. Just what a wanted to do. LOL! Good luck with the move. Can't wait until you're settled so you can share more of your marvelous creatons! Have a super weekend!

  11. It's a perfect card, Cely, and how thoughtful of you to make it for her. :-D Having just moved myself, I'll share with you that I was piling up flattened boxes, getting ready to load them in my SIL's pickup for a run to the dump. It broke my heart to see nearly $200 worth of moving boxes just head for the dump. Talk about throwing away money! As we were loading the last of them, a young couple came by and asked if they could buy about 20 of them. They offered $25 and I gladly accepted it. :-D They picked the sizes for what they wanted (mostly the small ones since they had lots of books to move) and we all parted very happy. After that, the boxes came out of the pickup, got piled in the driveway with a sign, "Moving boxes for sale -- $2.00 each." So far, I've sold nearly half of them!

  12. I love how you use charms....I can never make them work where I like them. Love the added branch on top. Love how God sent you an angel just when you needed it. Hope you get to your "in between" house and can craft a little.
