....Friday night with friends and family around the piano singing....just like in Mayberry with Andy, Aunt Bee and friends! As a child, I had a bird. Every time I opened my mouth it would
scream and heaven forbid if I started singing and/or playing the piano...so this image reminded me of "the good old days".
I used
Betty from
Art Impressions, a scallop die from LaLa Land and a silver birdcage/bird charm.
|
A2, I also used stitching, copics, twine, brads, and acrylic sentiment |
Lol, this is too funny, what a wonderful stamp image. Love your colouring, the stitching and the birdcage charm. NEAT!!

That stamp fits you to a tee! Did you tell them your life story?? The stamp reminds me of a Tweety Bird cartoon on TV when the lady would start playing the piano and the cat tried to sneak up on poor Tweety . . .
ReplyDeleteLove it! Evelyn
Super fantastic! That image is a riot, and your colors on this one are amazing, too! Love the paper choices - and the sketch! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Cely, this brings back childhood memories for me, too! The family around the piano as my mom played, and my dad with both guitar and harmonica, the rest of us singing... often off key! lol This image is just too fun. Love the striped dp. Looks like wallpaper. :-D

ReplyDeleteCely, how adorable! I love it! Thank you so much for all of your kind comments while I was "away". I hope to get back into it now!
ReplyDeleteOh how I like all the white space in your coloring on this! I've tried that and failed miserably. The little eyelets with twine is fun - of course your charm is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a bird...my dog, whom I loved dearly, ate it. My mom threw the dog outside and he was hit by a car. Not exactly the "good ol' days." But boy how we laugh about how it all went down, now 20+ years later!!
