Tomatoes For Sale

I "wish" tomatoes were $.50 a lb ! I like green tomatoes as much as red, ripe, juicy tomatoes.  I love fixing fried green tomatoes.  I don't eat fried food except for this indulgence...ok...I fix fried okra too, but in moderation.

I drew the wheelbarrow, turned it into a png, added tomatoes from the Cherry Tomato Set and Farmer Birdie, both from Doodle Pantry.

Join us for the fun challenge at Doodle Pantry for a chance to win a gift certificate and also receive a selected set for free just for participating...now isn't that super!

Cherry tomatoes and wheelbarrows

I have made 3 different cards with the Cherry Tomato set from Doodle Pantry.  I drew a wheelbarrow image and saved as a png so I could merge with the tomato image.  I doubled the image to fill up the wheelbarrow.  I used copics on the wheelbarrow, tomatoes were pre-colored and background is DP from set.

The picture below is in my poor un-kept backyard flower garden.  I haven't planted my flowers in the wheelbarrow at time of photo.  The azaleas aren't quite ready to bloom. Today, all the azaleas are in full bloom and I need to take an updated picture.

Tomato Dreams

.......If you follow my blog to any degree, you see I "dream" a lot.  My friend "Reet" just displayed a picture of her first crop of tomatoes on the Svgcuts.com forum.  Being from the South, we have already been blessed with our first crop.  I love fried green tomatoes!  And, if you are from the South, then you know what a "true" tomato sandwich is....white bread, tomatoes from the garden (not the store), Duke's mayonnaise, salt and pepper.  I didn't say it was healthy....I said it was Goooooooood! Don't forget to eat it while leaning over the kitchen sink, for the juice will be dripping down your arm even if you did try to wrap it in a napkin. (I made the wheelbarrow, tomatoes are from Veggie Garden Part I at Svgcuts.com, bear is from Bears Camp Out  at My Scrap Chick. Yup, it's a shape card that opens.  I did some inking, and used a button for the hub cap.
