Jar Full of Thanks (Shaker Card)

Several cyber friends whose blogs I follow have me hooked on Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Lil Inker dies.  I have ordered  the Summertime Set but while I wait for it, I found this very old mason jar stamp....so old that it doesn't come with a name or maker.  It was an individual and not a company.  I love the set called Everyday Jargon; I love the pun sentiments.

Even though I wasn't using the Lawn Fawn dies (which haven't arrived yet), I followed the link HERE to help guide me.  Doodle Pantry has a wonderful set of jars so I will try that set next.

It's been awhile since I have created a shaker card.  With new elements and gadgets popping up on the internet and stores, it's fun to revisit some old fun way of making new interactive cards.

Have a chairful day!

I love little puns. The sentiment is from an old Stampin' Up set. The 3D chair idea is from Sizzix and the window die is from Memory Box, along with the tree branch and birds.

Once I decided what to make, the rest was very simple and quick. I made my chair on my Silhouette Cameo so I could size it.

PS  Thank you all for the info on my scrapbook page.  EVERYONE voted for the 3rd pic...which is the one I originally started out with but then started adding stuff to it.  Guess I should had stopped with the original plan...go with your gut instincts.  Sometimes you just need to leave a project and come back to it later.

Inside...oops...left off the little pillow I made

Live with Passion

Remember:  The challenge is still going on HERE!!!

I started out as a card maker and many of you started out as scrapbook makers or card makers like me and evolved into using svg files like me.  My roots are still with card making, but many svg card makers ask me if you can really get much use out of one stamp.  I ask the same question with an svg. I am revisiting this Stampin' Up stamp and bringing back different cards I created using the same stamp.  The first card I made today.  In conclusion....I LOVE BOTH!!!!
Today's card ( I saw someone's card using this same stamp and technique and loved it...I'm so sorry I can't find who it was that gave me this inspiration.  If you know, let me know to give loving credit!) I had real hard time getting color in picture...it's a deep rich brown, not washed out like in the pic.

Close up using extra cut of flower tops and pop-ups

(Same stamp) left: silhouette     right: Fall look

(Same stamp)  Spring look  (I omitted sentiment until ready to use..that's why it looks so bare on top.)  Little blurred...sorry!

I think it's pretty cool how you can get so many different effects from one stamp.  So to answer the question:  Yes,  especially with flowers, trees, stems, etc. possibilities are endless.  And, I'm not even that creative.

Toaster...you always pop up....

.....just when I need you! A cute cliché with a toaster stamp from Stampin Up and face from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I made the toaster svg.  I decided to make it a shape card.  I simply put 2 bodies together in SCAL 2, welded, then did a (rounded) shadow.  I decided to do a shadow around the dial and lever too for the pieces to "pop".  The card size is an A2.  You can always stretch the sides to make longer.

Cool

My sister-in-law's mother will be 71.  She is a pretty cool lady.  I used  Breezy Backyard Lever Card Collection from Svgcuts.com.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up.

I usually post a svg, so here it is.  Several people have ask for medical apparatus.  I'll be adding some more in coming days and weeks.

Hope you enjoy!

One Stamp - Many Layouts

I wanted to show how one stamp could make 3 entirely different cards.  This stamp is by "Stampin Up" called "Inspired by Nature".  On the first card, I embossed with white powder on textured, designed paper. ( I added a little ribbon and flower paper clip for embellishment.) On the second, I used "Stampin Up" inks on the stamp, lightly sprayed the stamp, and then stamped on plain heavy-weight card stock. (Autumn look)  On the third card, I used Stampin Up water markers directly on the stamp; again, I sprayed water and then pressed on card stock. I then took the grass stamp and stamped on top of the flowers.  I added a little more texture by backing with homemade paper. (Pic is blurred and I'll correct that later today.)
