You number is up....next!

Yup....here's your ticket to get your mammogram.  Actually, I don't think the gowns are quite this cute and you don't actually get to wear ALL of it at once.  Ladies...you know what I'm talking about.  I would rather get a mammogram than go to the dentist.  Anyhoooo, here's Stella Nurse from Bugaboo Stamps handing you the gown.

I brought Gus into the picture because men get breast cancer too. It's only 1% but that is approximately 390 men who succumb  to this cancer. I fell into the 1% of post- back surgery problems.  I didn't like being in that 1% and asked "why me".  I don't think you would want your father, brother, husband or friend being in that 1% and having to ask, "why him".  LINK UP FOR PINK continues with their 2 week  challenge and quest to get the "word out" about Breast Awareness Month.  I continue to post a card every other day with that theme.  Yes, I use humorous cards, but I take the matter seriously and if I can get the attention of just one person to "stop and think", then I have accomplished what I set out to do.

Stella and I are on a mission

Stella is my inner - child that says things I think, but dare not say.  Ribbon Gals - Stella is a digital image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie has an entire team of "Ribbon Gals" you really need to check out."  Yes, I use humor, but with sincerity and a warm, loving, concerned heart. If I made someone smile, laugh, and think about "Breast Cancer Awareness" through my cards, then I have done my job.

My mission is to post a card every other day at LINK UP FOR PINK.  Such a wonderful group of ladies who have worked hard to spread the word.  The challenge also offers some awesome prizes.

My next card will include dear ole Gus. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2010, about 1,970 new cases of breast cancer in men would be diagnosed and that breast cancer would cause approximately 390 deaths in men. Most cases of male breast cancer are detected in men between the ages of 60 and 70, although the condition can develop in men of any age.  That may only be 1% compared to women, but do you want your husband, father or brother to be that statistic?????
