His birthday isn't until March 2, but there is a great
Dr. Seuss theme challenge #204 at Die Cutting Diva's. I took this free clipart image and quote keeping it CAS for my card. However, you must use a die cut, so I made his hat into an svg...that added a little whimsy plus adding pop-ups for dimension.

A2, copics, star brads, pop-ups for dimension |
I forgot to add the shadowing before taking most of the pics which is why you only see one with the shadowing. I made several to send to family and friends. It made me feel happy while making it and that was a hard task since I have been so sick. If you want the svg, which is in Silhouette Studio form, just email me (under my profile) and I'll send. Do not ask for it here because it does not give me your email.

Super fun card! I love Dr. Suess! I read all his books when I was little.
ReplyDeleteSo creative and adorable! Just love Dr. Seuss. Did you know they will be publishing a new book from him this summer. His wife found it in his office after he passed away. Fun card! I love the sentiment!

We just bought a whole bunch of Dr. Seuss books during the Target sale ($5 each - great deal)! These are adorable and VERY Seuss like with all the white space. Such a big difference the shadow makes...I need to learn how to ground my images like you.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you made a card for our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! You nailed it! I had a hard time coming up with something, but finally had a strike of inspiration.
