Another commissioned card for a friend whose husband loves NASCAR. She is surprising him with tickets to the Daytona 500 for his birthday. Request: birthday card to reflect the gift. I learned that Carl Edwards is his favorite driver to follow. I recycled an old svg and did my best to replicate Carl Edwards number, colors and company sponsor.
I recycled this svg I found on the web ( We Can Be Original) and turned it into my own. I used the freebie Racing Flags svg from SVGCuts. They have so many free svgs. You really need to check them out. Yes, You can used them on Silhouette, eClips, others and even with Cricut if you have SCAL 2. Other than the white base, everything was done with scraps.

Fantastic! I'm sure he will love it!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so well! Love it, and I'm betting he will, too!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had an ounce of your talent Cely...this is super!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Cely. My brother is a NASCAR fan too. When I did his card I just used Paper Dolls to make the Race Car Driver. I never went as far as re-recreating the car. Wow! You did a super job ;- ) Not going to share this with my brother though. He'll wonder why I didn't put that much work in for him, ha ha! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCute! YAY Carl!!
ReplyDeleteKaren

As a NASCAR fan I can tell you this is awesome! Luv Carl Edwards!
ReplyDeleteMy dauhter who is handicapped (non-verbal due to a stroke) became interested in racing, namely David Ragan, who has a down syndrome brother. She went to see him at Daytona last year and of course I took a lot of pictures. So for her birthday I made her a David Ragan scrapbook. We took over again when they came for the July (which he won) and had him autograph it for her. Again more pictures so more for her scrapbook. David made the comment that his brother was going to love the book so I had to explain that this was Angie's but I would make him one. His birthday was Dec. 24th. So I completed it and mailed it to him for his birthday.
ReplyDeleteLove your card. And may scrap lift to make for David's brothers birthday.
