Hammock - Lazy Days of Summer

Nice breeze today....time for a nap in the hammock....not just any hammock, but a Pawley's Island hammock.  I put the set together under one svg and you can break apart. I will put a Peachy Keen face on the sun.  I will post my card tomorrow.

Okra running update

I added legs to the okra.....several followers would like more veggies having legs.  It would not be hard to add cut-out faces.  I plan to use the Peachy Keen faces...so that's why I left them blank...hehe  (I'll add more veggies later this week.)

Okra Okra Okra

Fried okra, okra gumbo, boiled okra, and one of my favorite,"pickled okra".  Okra is considered a delicacy and is on the expensive side.  It's best young, tender, and fresh; otherwise, it starts turning black spotty quickly and is no longer pleasing to the eye.  Dried okra pods make adorable Santa Claus ornaments.  You can put 5 together and make a "starfish".  I'm offering an svg and digi stamp. (PS  I will add legs to the okra soon per request of a follower and post back.).

Veggie People - garlic, potato, carrot

I'm on a little roll with fruits and vegetables.  Summer's here with all this fresh fruit and veggies from the garden.  I just fixed my first pan of "fried green tomatoes"...yum yum! Tomorrow, I'm going to try  offering an okra for you "southern cooks".  The veggies would look great with a face and you can always cut the legs off...ouch...hehe   I took these from public domain, cleaned and changed to be more user friendly.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments yesterday regarding my Pistachio Salad.

Pistachio Salad - Yum Yum!

Too excited, so I'm posting twice this morning...one with the bowl and spoon and the other with my card.  I'm happy with my recipe cards.  I left two pictures ajar so you could see how it opened.  The marshmallow shadows do look better than in pic, but I may leave off top shadow next time.  I love the way the copic markers help the pineapple take on life. I love those Peachy Keen Stamps faces. (Glitter and some embossing can't be seen in pic.)  The card fits into a standard 5.5x4.25 invitation envelope. Thanks for stopping by and sharing my little journey and blog.)
Download HERE for SCAL2 (scut) file for all cuts and sized together.  I hope you enjoyed the little process.

Forgot the Bowl and Spoon

Forgot to give you the bowl and spoon.  Tomorrow, the finished card.  I'm very happy with it....it made me laugh!  I will also give you the SCAL2 (scut) file that I used to bring it together.  I adjusted the bowl to fit into a 5.5" x 4.25 envelope.  I did not adjust the spoon.  Download HERE for bowl and spoon.

Pistachio Salad - Summer Yum (Part 3 of 3)

You must add lots of miniature marshmallows to the salad.....yum yum!  Again, I will add faces later.  Download HERE for the marshmallow.  Almost at the finish line.  Even if the card doesn't turn out the greatest, I had a fun time making the svgs.

Pistachio Salad - Summer Yum (Part 2 of 3)

Today's addition to the salad is a pistachio nut.  I will emboss the little nuts and add shadowing along with  faces.  Download HERE for the pistachio nut.  Stayed tuned...hehe
I am doing my first challenge with Sketch and Bubbles (snbshop.blogspot) .  I was to use this Fluffy Bird.  I also used a tree svg I created, copic markers, and punches along with the swinging monkey stamp.

Pistachio Salad - Summer Yum (Part 1 of 3)

I saw a recipe card that used peachy keen stamps... so cute, so I'm going to do my own take.  I made the svgs that will be posted for this card.  However, I will not stamp the faces on the svgs until I make the card. I haven't made the card yet, but I have a vision...hehe...wish me luck.  Today's svgs are pineapples and slices.  One pineapple crown is wider so you can stamp or draw a face.  The slice is another option.  I'm not sure which one I will use for the final card.  I will cut the 3 pieces in the slice all the same color and just shadow and use copic markers when needed.  Thanks for dropping by my little blog.  Download  HERE for pineapples and HERE for pineapple slice.

Copic markers

Still trying to learn how to use copic markers.  I'm really enjoying them, but still have so much I can learn.  This was a free digi stamp through "Stretch and Bubbles."  It was on Semsee's.blogspot and Crissy Armstrong was the illustrator.  It was something designed very special for Jayme, Lisa's sister.  I tried to leave the frog a little spotty to give it a frog effect.  No svgs, just some punches and embellishments.

Pick those Peaches (Part 3 of 4)

As I mentioned previously, peach trees are squatty and not too tall, but tall enough that a ladder must be used to reach the ones on top.  With all my svgs, I can not believe that I didn't have a ladder nor could I find one in all my purchases of the wonderful sets at Svgcuts.com.  Oh well, here's one and I'll show you tomorrow how I used it.  Download HERE for ladder. Stay tuned tomorrow for the silly card I made.

Peach pickin' time (Part 2 of 4)

Peach trees are generally only about 9 - 12 feet tall.  A late spring frost will wipe out the entire crop....but not this year...hooray!  The bees are free and yes, they sting! Download HERE for peach tree.

Peach pickin' time (Part 1 of 4)

Peaches are my favorite fruit. Peach picking in the upstate starts in just 2 weeks.  Georgia is known as the "Peach State", but statistics show that South Carolina grows and produces more peaches than any other state.  You can buy peaches in the store, but it is RARE that it will taste like a peach just picked from the tree.  We actually have a water tower down the road shaped and colored like a peach. (Some say it looks like a person's "behind"). Today I'm posting a peach.  My leaf is more correct than ones found elsewhere. Download HERE for peach.  Stayed tuned tomorrow for Part 2.

Garfield

I don't have cats, but I've always been intrigued by the Pink Panther and Garfield the Cat.  Both are copyrighted and trademarked so the svg can not be sold and is for personal use only.  Download HERE for the svg and HERE for the SCAL2 (scut) file.  (PS - I attempted to eliminate as many extra cuts as possible.)

Card Box Holder (with video)

Denise Hill at Paper Pastime needs to be crowned the "Queen of Box Templates".  Her tutorials are excellent.  I did four of the card boxes as gifts and all recipients loved them.  The boxes have really held up to wear and tear.  She has many wonderful svg and scut files free for the taking.  Unfortunately, I only took one picture out of the four different designs boxes I made....bummer!

Open Petal Flowers

What!  More flowers!  There are sooooo any beautiful flowers out there in blog world.  However, when I want something quick and easy, I seem to always fall back on this little svg I made awhile back.  It won't hurt my feelings if you don't download....haha....just thought I would share my silly, little, useful, quick flower.   Download HERE for open petal flowers. Hope you had a great weekend!

Share an apple with a friend

I'm into fruit and bugs lately...haha   I love the episode on the "Andy Griffith Show" when Andy trying to teach Opie the value of "sharing".  Opie thought the worm was entitled to some of the apple since it was important to share...needless to say he wasn't getting the point that Andy was trying to stress.  Download HERE for apple with worm.  Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Japanese Little Girl (Part Two)

Yesterday, I displayed the words "Forever Friends" in Japanese.  Today, I added a little Japanese girl to the card.  I chose to cut her out and added extra background and layers. I didn't show my final picture since I am away from home.  Download HERE for the little girl. Thanks for dropping by today and taking a look.
