My IMAC Hard drive died. I replaced it with the help of my husband, but then we notice a ribbon damaged inside. No, not a craft ribbon...haha, but a connector ribbon to the display. I had to order since I couldn't find one in town. Luckily, I had a back up disk (external hard drive). You know our craft world is own our computer! Well, I can't get it to restore correctly yet. I have the faith. Today feels like the lucky day.
Anyhow, I'm trying to visit blogs on my IPad but not much creating without my computer.

I feel your pain...I have gone through sometime similar and it was the pits! Hope today is the lucky day you get thinks up and running! I'll keep my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteLove the cartoons Cely. I hope that your PC is soon back to full health. I have twi ext. hard ,drives for which I am very thankful because one failed miserable. Luckily it was all backed up to the second one and I have now bought another so that I still have everything backed up twice. It may sound like I am being over cautious, but I have seen the misery of peeps losing everything, and with 20,000 of my photographs on them I want to be sure they are okay :o)

You know when you hear about something for the first time, then you hear about it again and again? Yours is the third iMac or mac book that I have heard of recently that the hard drive has died on. I don't know what I would do without my MacBook Pro! I use it all day every day for work and it gets a several hour workout at home in the evenings and on the weekends, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely backing up this weekend. So sorry for your computer trouble. Hope she's feeling better soon!

ROFL, Cely!! Maybe that was why I had to replace my computer last month, do you think?
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Computer problems stink! Hope you get all resolved! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having to go through all this!!
ReplyDeleteYour comics made me LOL... and shudder a bit at the thought of it all! :)
I expect it will all work out... Stay calm and gather inspiration Hugs C
ReplyDeleteOh no! When my computer died, I was ok with that. Then I realized what I did NOT back up! I still need to take my hard drive to have a little 10 year old geek take stuff off of it. Love the funnies. I'm the first one....I just walk away slowly and hope it resolves itself without blowing up! So sorry!
