Cheesy Smiles

One last card before heading to the coast for a little bit of sun.  Hubby is staying home and tending the puppies.  Trust me, he'll have fun while I'm away.

These are little old rubber House Mouse stamps.  The sentiment is an old Hero Arts rubber stamp.  I made the cheese-hole card on my Cameo.  It's just a cute little card to send a friend.  I'm entering this in the House Mouse MHFMC #226 Challenge: Autumn or anything goes

Colors make me happy

Another House Mouse card using the same template as yesterday with just a few changes.  I made svg paint brushes and colored with copics.  I also cut an extra paint tube for more 3D imaging.  This image is also from the House Mouse Triple CD set.

Leaves are starting to FALL

I am always inspired by Sue "Sue's Stamping Stuff" cards using House Mouse Designs.  My very first stamp was a House Mouse...and I'm talking many many years ago.  The love for them has not waned.  I'm entering House Mouse Challenge HMFMC #226: Autumn.

This darling set is from the House Mouse CD, a Christmas present from my husband.  It didn't come with a title, but listed as Garden 25.

The flying mouse is 3D as well as the mouse in the tree that has a red frame.  I added a freebie Miss Kate's Cuttables called Autumn Words (on sale for $.40) and Lawn Fawn (small) Stitched Leaves.  A little cord and I call it done and ready to send.

A2, green cord, pop-ups for dimension, Cameo to cut word and mouse

Remember all the good times we had?

(inside); No, Seriously, do you remember any of that stuff?!

I wish I could lay claim to the sentiment, but alas, I saw this on a card on my last beach trip.  I thought it was funny .... especially since I'm getting to the stage of forgetting things...haha

Anyhow, I just bought this sweet Hello Birdhouse Easel card from My Scrap Chick while on sale for $.70.   I had these adorable Surprise Birdbrain Birthday images from From the Heart Stamps, so I married the two.  THIS one WAS easy to put together once I knew what papers to use and knowing I wanted to keep the Fall theme.

3rd Birthday - Elsa

Yup, I'm a grandmother of a 3 year old, red headed, blue eyed, little girl who is in love with Elsa.  I thought of so many cute cards to make, but knowing Elsa will thrill her the most.  I sorta cased Stamp Owl's Studio, but since I didn't have the exact card die, I improvised.  I could not bring myself to use the words "Let it Go"!

All the images were free on the web.  I cut the "3" with the Cameo and the rest were die cuts I had.  All the white paper is glittered...wish you could see it.

A2, Snow Border die, snow corner die, pop-ups for dimension

All dies, all glitter paper, images free on web, Lawn Fawn snow backdrop stamp set, copics for Oloft

Wanted to show at angle to see the tabs. I used a card tab die set by Stampendous I bought from Michaels.  I didn't think I would use very much, but use quite a bit.  $7 well spent

Flower Pot Stand Card

Buying this Elizabeth Craft Flower Pot Stand Die Set was a big splurge.  I thought it would be a quick card...NOT!  Now that I have made "one", I'm sure the next one will go more smoothly.  (Karen's video made it look so easy...haha)

It's the first day of Fall, so mums and pansies popped into my head.  This is my attempt at a pansy facsimile.  I left the flowers flat knowing it would be mailed.  I made a boo boo in cutting the base, so as not to waste the cardstock, I placed 2 pansies on the base behind the flower pot.  Do you think I got away with the boo boo?

Hummm...wonder if there are any challenges out there to join?

A7, left off the center dot...oops...added after pic

Ready for the unvailing?  Opening....

Ta Da...I also added a dragonfly along with the two butterflies
Liquid Pearls were added to flower centers and butterfly bodies, along with wire for butterfly antennas

Flowers on base covering my two boo boos.  The die requires the flower pot to be closer to the front of the card...not the center, so if nothing else, I think the 2 pansies balanced out the base.

BOO

Catch the Bug (Bugaboo Stamps) was my first time being on a design team....let's go back about 6 years.  I learned a lot and made long lasting friends. Today, I decided to go back to this wonderful blog and join the Challenge #414: follow the template.  I used several Goofy Ghosts from Bugaboo.

I designed this window in Inkscape many years ago.  It was one of my first svg creations.  It has also been one of my long time favorites that I still use at least twice a month.

A2, hearts die, fern punch, Lawn Fawn "BOO" stamp and matching die, copics for coloring and pop-ups for added dimension

I added a little full moon on the left card.

THANKS from the bottom of my BUTT...

(Inside):  ...because my butt is bigger than my heart!

I hope some of my followers "get" my strange sense of humor on this card creation.  I thought QKR's "Sneaking Away digi13310" would be the perfect image to showcase my sentiment.  I plan to entered my card in the QKR Challenge #209: Anything Goes.

I incorporated the Grand Madison Door Die by Poppy Stamps, copics for coloring, Cameo for cutting the bear and pop-ups for dimension.  All four cards came together quickly and are ready to be addressed and mailed to several friends and family members.

A2  Isn't that bandage on the butt cute?

Wish you nuttin' but the best....

...that you feel better soon!

My card was made using the sweet pre-colored file, Just Nutty, from Doodle Pantry.  I used 3 different sentiments....oops, I'm only showing two.  I also changed up the designer papers in hopes that some could pass as "masculine"...haha

I have friends and family members that need a little "pick me up" due to illness and/or stressful days.  Boy, we could all use one of the these cards every now and then!

Below today's card, I have included more pictures of the "Just Chickin' In" cards using different background papers.  Isn't it amazing how just a color or pattern change can alter the dynamics of a card?

A2, stitching, stitched rectangle and stitched circle dies from Lil Inker, Spring Showers by Lawn Fawn, used Cameo for images and used lots of pop ups for dimension.  First two cards have FALL COLORS for Aud Sentiment challenge.

this one is more feminine and isn't Fall Colors

Inside...each card has designer paper from the front

Just chickin' in...

I'm wanting to send Faith, awesome creator of From The Heart Stamps, some fun "thinking of you" cards.  I know she is strong and following the doctor's orders.  We all wish her well and look forward to seeing her in the pilot seat again at From the Heart.

I made 4 cards using Flappy Birthday ...of course, but colored each chick a little different...must have some man cards, right?  The little charm says, "just for you".

A2, Lil inker stitched circles, chicken wire die, pink cord, charm and colored with copics.  I also colored the backside of the chick (including the underwear) on the inside of the card.  Also, glossy accents and glitter on face.  Cut chick out with Cameo.

What are friends for....

...if you can't give them a ride now and then!

This is QKR digi16503 Halloween Turtle.  I'm entering this sweetie in the QKR Challenge #208...theme: Fall colors

I masked the pumpkin and made some smaller ones to add for interest. I used lots of pop-ups for dimension.

A2, copics coloring,  very old leaf punch, Lawn Fawn Vertical tree die, Lawn Fawn rolling hills die, Fiskar cloud punches, cut all images out with Cameo

A little boo

I just got back from the beach today so I'm a little tired but wanted to jump on some blogs, comment, and post this little card. Gosh...internet was so slow at the beach.

I also promised Faith at Daffodil Cards I would take pics of ocean and beautiful scenery....I didn't, but here I am.

You will have to take my word for it, but the inlet and ocean is behind me...haha

Now for the card....this came together so quick.  It's all from Lawn Fawn, Happy Howloween.  But, I made a shaker out of the moon.  I punched a lot of tiny bats and added sequins and beads.  I colored every thing with copics.

The QKR Challenge #208 says use Fall colors.  I think I will enter, but I will also do the challenge again using one of their adorable images.  I don't understand why more people don't use these images for the challenges.  I see so much fun and humor in the images...haha

A2, acetate for shaker area...used the FUZE to hold together...love that tool!

Happy Birthday ( trying a new technique...

I adore Doodle Pantry images and was a DT member for quite a while.  I wanted to join the Doodle Pantry Challenge #21 and Send a Smile 4 Kids: criteria (children, CAS, Fall colors, flat for shipping) Cute Fall/Halloween. I decided using the camouflaging die cuts technique would add some depth and interest. It's was my first time using the technique.  I can't wait to try again with much larger letters.

I used Doodle Pantry Balloon Ants set.  I masked off one ant, then I added the same image but smaller to help give dimension.  I used Doodle Pantry matching digital paper for the balloons.  I colored the larger ants with copics. There are 4 layers of the word "happy".

A2, cloud punch, "birthday" made in Design Studio, HAPPY cut using Cameo, white pen for accent marks,pop-ups for a little dimension, sewing

Inside of card, ants stamp from Lawn Fawn

Challenges: Doodle Pantry - anything Goes

Get Well..... (3D)

....another card for Faith even though I didn't use a From the Heart Stamp image.  I know, you think I should just stick with her images?  I thought a little change would be nice.  Hummm

I'm entering this card in the QKR Stampede Challenge #207.  Recipe: image, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments.  I used digi 604 Love Notes (I masked the writing) and also Get Well Mouse wording from Dearie Dolls. The same recipe at Creative Background Challenge #8: 1,2,3

This card took a little longer not knowing where I was going when I started.  Now that I know, I can whip out 3 more cards within an hour.  I will wait on the sentiment since I think ANYTHING would work on the inside for the wording...miss you, see you soon, Happy Birthday, etc.

A2, outside, Elizabeth Craft "you", Sue Wilson leaves die, old flower punches, 3 enamel dots, liquid pearls

Inside, vase punch, flower and fern leaf punches, copics for mouse (hand-colored), cut with Cameo, 2 designer papers, wink of Stella on pencil and buttons

"Wee Note" for Faith

I made the first card for Faith, the awesome creator behind From The Heart Stamps.  I fell in love with her sweet and quirky stamps about a year ago. (I used Hamlet PigWit Being Shy.) Faith has taken quite ill and at this writing could very well still be in the hospital.

Of course, you know I had to make 3 more cards if I was going to make at least one...each being a tad different.  I haven't mastered watercolor, even though I'm ok with watercolor pencils. Anyhow, the Cut It Up Challenge #104 is to use some watercolor and a die.  I did two backgrounds in watercolor just to say I tried...haha.  I used Lil' Inker Stitched Circle dies for the frames.

Happy Labor Day to all my friends out there in cyber-world....safe time and safe travels!

A2, metal music note charm, string, made background paper using the Old MacDonald's song, small cloud Fiskar punch

Inside...can see more of the watercolor...copics for the piglet, pop ups for dimension

middle card also has watercolor background, matching string or cord for all cards

Snowflakes for Sale (3rd post today)

Talk about last minute!!!!!  I have one hour before the QKR Challenge #206 closes.  Theme: balls or sports balls.  I don't like sports very much...loved watching the Olympics, but that is about as far as my love goes.  Soooo...I thought outside the box.  Balls.....SNOWBALLS!!!!  I used QKR digi14214 Selling snowflakes.  Another challenge is at Die Cuttin Divas #281 : Anything Goes.

I got this wonderful template idea from Deloris at Stampin by the Lake.  I bought Lori Whitlock's Pull-Out Snowflake card template from the Silhouette Store.  ( I also cut off snowflakes at bottom so card would stand nicely.)

A2, copics, pop-ups for dimension, card die, rolling hills die from Lawn Fawn, Wink Of Stella for the background and snowflakes (which you probably can't see) snowflake embellishment, circle punches

Insert for the card...you can see a little more of the 3-D effect and snow drift
I will wait to put a sentiment of my choosing

Crazy Birds..action wobble (2nd post today)

I couldn't stand it.  I made my on wobble action springs and attached to some more Crazy Birds by Tim Holtz.  I also added tail feathers to two of them.  What's shakin'?...shake you tail-feathers!  I should do a little video, but Lordy, it's so much trouble.

A2, copics, feathers, home-made action wobbles, twine

What's Shakin'

I took the plunge and bought this little set Crazy Birds by Tim Holtz at Michael's after I saw a card on-line that I wanted to case...can't find card to give credit.  I changed the sentiment by making my own in Design Studio.  I used copics instead of watercolor...still having trouble mastering that medium.

I want to add more dimension next time....perhaps add some really feathers and watercolor or sponge some background behind the bird.  He looks a little furlong!
A2, Glossy Accents on eyes, bird and sentiment die cut with Silhouette Cameo and pop-ups for dimension on bird
