Graduation Time

Our youngest son is graduating May 7 from University of South Carolina in Chemistry.  We are so proud of him.  I need to brag for a second.  He's been doing inorganic chemistry research for a professor the last two years.  Upon graduating, he wrote a paper and presented to professor (I think a requirement).  Anyhow, the Department of Chemistry was so impressed it is being "published" .... that's a huge deal and a bigger deal for an undergraduate.  Usually, this is saved for doctorate candidates.  From a mother's point of view, I hope it will look good on his resume and help him get a JOB!!!  Anyone out there need an outstanding chemist with strong lab experience in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry???  Haha

We are having a very small luncheon after graduation ceremony.  I wanted to do a few things for the table at the restaurant.  We will be out-of-town, so I'm trying to keep it simple and portable.  I did a few easel pieces and made pillow boxes (Silhouette Store).  I''m sharing these in today's post.

$1 easels from AC Moore's, vinyl

Approx. 5"x 3"  Inside: bags of peanuts and mints (placed at each person's seat)

  6. Congrats to your son and to you too Mom and Dad. There is a definite parental commitment even when your kids are in college. And what an achievement to be published. How impressive. My husband is a nuclear physicist and I know how hard it can be to get published. Awesome table decorations Cely. It will make his day very special!
