Popping - In

I made 4 cards using a toaster file from Silhouette (it's on sale now for $.75.  Each toaster is a tad different, using college colors for the recipients.  I managed to have one say "hello" and the others a "non-tradional" Mother's Day card.  I used Peachy Keen faces and distressed the toast edges.

A2 size, color is off.  It is beige, not yellow, Clemson colors

This piece of toast actually opens up like a card with the sentiment on inside.  Citadel colors

I forgot where I bought this sentiment set...go from amazon, but company is not labeled on the packaging.  I must go check.  I love this set of sentiments.

Master Golfer

Rushing to finish this card for a friend AND the QKR Stampede Challenge # 138 ...Guy Cards.  I used #15314, Golfing Turtle.  Our friend has been wanting to go to the Masters in Augusta, Georgia.  For his birthday, we are taking him to the tournament on the "day of his choice".  I made a fake ticket for the inside of the card.

I made the "A Master" svg putting green.  I  print and cut in my design studio, then colored and attached the golfer with pop-ups  for dimension.  I cased Brenda, even her sentiment, since hers was so adorable.

A2 size, stitching, Wink Of Stella on parts of wood club, Lawn Fawn hillside dies, handmade the golf ball, pole and flag.  Forgot to add #18 on the flag for picture.

Just a wee little note... (2nd post)

I wanted to enter two challenges: From the Heart Stamps #106 and From the Heart Stamps Monthly Challenge for April and needed some quick, fun, sweet "just a note" cards so I worked them all together in this creation.  I used the free image from the progressive challenge called Hamlet Pigwit Being Shy.

I "cased" my idea from Heather M, but used this week's sketch (see below). For my "own personal touch", I created the music note svg.

A2, copics, stitching, pop-ups for dimension, music note svg, white pen highlights

Couch Yoga

Yes, I've tried yoga, but I stay to busy thinking about all the things I could be doing or need to be doing during my yoga time.  I'm too ADHD, but I'll be the first to admit it...haha

I used two sets from Doodle Pantry....Ageless Antiques 2 (couch and lamp) and Happy Sheep. I made the throw rug in Silhouette Studio.  I used A Birdie Told Me stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn and a Create with TLC sentiment freebie.

Join the fun Ants in the Pantry #4 Challenge at Doodle Pantry.  What a great way to have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store.

A2, pop-ups on sentiment for dimension and fun, copics for flooring, homemade enamel dots

This is me.... (2nd posting)

...missing you!

I bought these new sentiments and immediately knew I had to use From the Heart Stamps Flappy Birthday Birdbrain, along with Doodle Pantry's Ageless Antiques 2. The window is one of my svgs that I turned into a jpeg file.

I am joining the From the Heart Challenge w/ a Twist #105.  I used the template.

A2, copics, twine, made the rug in Silhouette Studio, floor and wall

dragonfly and balloons

Fell in love with balloon die called Soft Caress by Penny Black.  Then I saw a cute challenge, Dragonfly Journeys, so I added a dragonfly using vellum paper, embossed edges and married the two.  I may remove the cloud and add my sentiment when I know "what the occasion will be".  (I cased Virginia, but can't find the exact page. Trust me, she has some awesome creations.)

A2, also used some grass dies, cloud punch, rectangle stitched die and pop-ups for dimension

I don't know what the heck the white rectangle is on the photo.  It's not on my card.  I probably hit a strange button in PSE

Charlie Bee

I pulled out "real stamps", not digi...haha!  I used the triple layered method which I haven't done in several years.   I used Charlie Bee from Doodle Pantry.

I cased Evelyn which may had not been politically correct since it is her challenge, CUT IT UP #68,  I am entering. I enjoy entering challenges but had found myself sometimes creating a card I was not ever wanting to use, just to enter a challenge.  I am trying hard now not to do that, so if another person's card pleases me, I want to case knowing I'll use it.  I DO try to add a little of ME in it.

A2, yellow sickles, ribbon, pop-ups for dimension, homemade enamel dots.  The outline is grey (form of black) since I was allowed no white.  I always thought white was allowed no matter what, but I didn't want to take the chance.

angle view
I found this challenge hard since I was not allowed white since it would be an extra color.  Having to use a die cut (Charlie Bee) his legs were too skinny to cut without having some shadow.  I had to turn the leaf yellow on the flower stem, but I will color over with green before sending.  Thanks Evelyn for a challenging challenge...haha

No udder brother...

Two brothers...each unique!  My oldest brother is gravely ill so I continue sending him fun, happy cards.  Well, I can't leave the other brother out, so he gets a card too!

I used Udder Fun Ants from Doodle Pantry.  I cased my friend Dawn Frost...loved her card.  I used the pre-colored image. I changed the word "friend" to "brother".  I think the milk can svg came from the Silhouette Store which I tweaked.  I made my own background since I didn't have the wonderful Impression Obsession splatter stamp.

A2, pop-ups for dimension, funky scissors for black frame

angle view for dimension, color is off for some reason, stitching
There still lots of time to join us at Doodle Pantry for the Ants in the Pantry Challenge #4 : Anything Goes.

Happies to you

I saw this creation weeks ago at Lawn Fawn.  I knew I had to case Lizzie but I changed the sentiment.  I used the set Gleeful Gardens.  I made the sentiment in my Silhouette Studio.  Fun, quick and easy to put together....need cards like this at the last minute.

Sorry for reflection, copics for coloring, pop-ups for dimension, Lil Inker stitched rectangle, Lawn Fawn stitched hillside

Rainy Days...gotta love them

Rain helps settle the pollen.  Rain helps the flowers grow and keeps water in the lakes.  Rain is also a good excuse to stay indoors and play in my craft room.

I'm using  from QKR Stampede digi #12502 In The Rain for their Challenge #133: April showers bring May flowers .

Lil Gorilla spinner card

Growing up, I remember my mother always making my oldest brother Steve take my younger brother Ray with him wherever he went.  Don't know why my mom did that other than to get BOTH boys out of the house.  Anyhooooo, my brother Ray was the comedian in the family.  He would always make monkey sounds and gestures around Steve's friends which would TOTALLY embarrass Steve.  Steve would come home yelling Mo--th--er.....you have got to do something with this crazy brother of mine.  I would rather stay in my room than have to take him with me ever again.  We are all old now, but they are the best of friends and bros....haha
A2, added some grass under tree using copics, pop-ups for dimension

Now the deets on card!  I used pre-colored images from the set Lil Gorilla Jungle from Doodle Pantry.  I CASED Lola since it was instant love for her card.  I just "kicked it up a notch" by adding the spinner part.  As you can see, I kept it pretty CAS, no stitching or sentiment, but a long letter to my brother on the inside.

trying to illustrate the movement of the banana spinner
Now that I look at the monkey a little closer, it looks like he's talking on the phone with the banana being the receiver...haha  That will be me in a few years.  I already do silly things like put things in the pantry cupboard that should go in the refrigerator or can't find my glasses only for them to be on the top of my head...haha

10 Days of Inspiration and Prizes

10 Days of Inspiration and Prizes Day 5

DAY 5 - 10 DAYS OF INSPIRATION & PRIZES
If you missed the post on March 31, read it HERE which will explain what today's post is about.
COMMENT ON THIS POST FOR A CHANCE TO WIN $5.00 DOODLE PANTRY STORE COUPON.
All Laurie's cards for the 10 days use the same similar card layout, but with slight changes here and there.

Today Laurie have used Raccoon Hellos to make this card and matching magnet.
The sentiment is from the So Thankful Sentiments set.
For the magnet, she used photoshop to insert background papers on the behind layers. And then inserted the images above.  She followed instructions at Sun & Moon Craft Kits to make the magnet.

On the card, she traced around half of a Spellbinders circle die around the top and then drew straight down each side, and hand cut the main image panel out.

I'm so excited...I wet my plants!

I needed something to make me laugh and this Bugaboo image called Molly Moo - Sunflower and the sentiment did the trick.  Ahhhh.....Spring.....gotta love it minus the sneezing!

It's hard to tell, but I cut out the big flower and the cow's hat and added pop-ups for dimension to make them 3-D to add extra fun and eye candy, as well as adding glossy accent to water and Wink of Stella to nozzle hose.

I followed the SSS #307 Challenge sketch for Catch the Bug.

Very Late

This should had been posted on April 1st, but this sinus infection still has me "under the weather".  I go to a specialist on Tuesday.  I hope they have some answers.

April 1st was the first day of Ants in the Pantry Challenge #4 at Doodle Pantry....anything goes!  I hope you will join us.  Always a great opportunity of win a wonderful gift certificate to Doodle Pantry.  I used Rubber Boots as my main image and used several flower images from Doodle Pantry to fill the boot.  You may have seen the same image a while back when I did a 3 layered card.  I also used the rest of the delightful, fun sunburst.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC....a freebie.
