FRIEND

It was instant love for a "Good Luck" Woodware stamp that I saw on Pauline's blog, Crafting with Cotnob.  I couldn't find that one, but checked at Joanne's and they are having a 50% off sale...BINGO.

Paper piecing can take time and precision.  I'm always trying to cut corners.  So...I stamped, scanned, and took into my Silhouette Studio and traced.  Now I'm able to size.  Since I'm not selling, I feel everything is legal.  Quick quick quick...cut out patterns so quickly and exact.  I printed out the word on white cardstock.  I cut out the black outline and then cut out the pattern paper precisely...quick quick quick.  I bought several of the words, but they didn't have Good Luck.

A2, scraps from a favorite paper pack, pink bow, charm says "made with a smile" on the back of it
angle and bad lighting...lol  Used pop-ups for added dimension

A2, still working on bow technique.  I saw what Cotnob uses but can't find locally so will order

Obviously my camera hates to take angle shots...more bad lighting

  3. I do the same thing. You really have skill with coloring; I do not. So I get a good stamp image and bring it into Silhouette Design studio, add color, print and cut. It comes out beautifully! Then you always have it to print off again if you want.
I love your Friend stamp. I have a similar one from Close to My Heart that says Thank you. You may have inspired me to ink it up!!
I love both of your color combinations. Beautiful cards!

  8. Bright and happy patterns Cely! What a great stamp and I love paper piecing. One of these days I will figure out the machine cutting techniques. It's just beyond me right now. Have a lovely weekend. We are supposed to be in the 40s so maybe some of this snow will melt.
