Black and White : Cut It Up Challenge

My son will be returning to college tomorrow so I will be working a little harder on card making and exercising.  It will also help me stay out of the kitchen.  I take no meds, eat right, and exercise (walk, swim, lift weights, stay active) yet I'm told I am a high risk osteoporosis female after results of a bone density test and have moderate 3rd stage kidney disease!  What!  Humm...let's take those tests again.  I feel great and just a full pounds over my weight.  I weigh in at 135.  If the doc wants me at 128, then I'm up to the challenge. More walking and less elliptical and swimming (and sodium) right now...need more low impact.  Calcium test was great...bad genes the doc says.  HAVE YOU HAD YOUR EXERCISE TODAY!!!

I enjoyed making this card....getting back to my roots sorta.  The black and white is so generic so I could almost put any type of sentiment.

I cased this card from Vicki Mears I found on Pinterest.  I'm entering the card in the Cut It Up Challenge: Black and White.

A2, MB flower die, spellbinder Marvelous die, Little Inker rectangle die, ribbon, Stampin Up "always" stamp

I continue to work on whites when photographing

  2. Amazing card! I love the die cuts and the fact that you could put any sentiment on it. Perfect. I lost 25 pounds in 2014. I gained about 1.2 pounds back over Christmas. So I am feeling pretty healthy right now at 131. I also exercise. Having trouble with infections lately. I will keep you in my prayers.

  4. Gorgeous card! Love the black and white. Looks so elegant!
Sorry to hear the health news. Seems like every time I go in they find something else wrong... I am on a diet too. Lost 2 pounds since the beginning of this month and have 3 more to go to get back down to my goal weight. Sigh... It sure is easy to put on the pounds over the holidays.

  12. Those polka dots really make the card! So elegant all around. And what the heck is kidney disease?! That sounds awful! And yes, genetics really can kick you in the butt. I think I have everything wrong with me that my parents have wrong with them - and I'm only in my 40's! And they live long....so I'm going to live long with all these problems!??
