Stella Calendar Month - February from Bugaboo Stamps continues to make me laugh.  I have also used this image for birthday cards.  The challenge this week is "red velvet hues".  Check out the inspiration colors below my card.

I have many Memory Box dies, but not all!  I made one very similar to their filigree heart using my Bamboo Fun drawing board and changing into a svg.  Stitching, copics, pearls, ribbon, a little glitter and PSE, ended me happy with the finished card.

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Bugaboo Stamps

Ava Heart is the new release sweetie at Bugaboo Stamps.  You know how you start with a great vision and it starts fizzling away?  Well, that's what happened here, but a mistake in measurements lead me to my final project below in which I am extremely satisfied.

The pic of my 2 boys is from several years back on a cruise.  It was our first cruise!  I wanted a nice pic of my boys together and this is what I got????  My eldest obviously had too many mojitos before the pic was taken.

I used my Cameo to print and cut and do shadows around the image. Head over to Catch The Bug and see other projects using "Ave Heart."

(sorry fellow followers....it's a secret and I can't tell you what's on the inside!)

Saturday Challenge: Sketch
at Catch the Bug

Ladybug Bear image from Bugaboo Stamps is such a sweetie!  I chose her to do my card for the Sketch Challenge at Catch The Bug today.

I made the flower svg from inspiration from a company that makes a die similar to this, but I can't buy them all, so with my little Bamboo Fun, I drew one up and made my own flower.  The cream swirl is from Memory Box dies.

A2, copics, button, die, svg, stitching, My Mind's Eye DP, glitter, old fern punch

I turned the sketch vertical for my card.

Happy 29th Birthday.....

....from your 110 lb. friend!
FREEBIE FRIDAY
at Bugaboo Stamps

Our last day of celebrating the 2nd birthday of Bugaboo Stamps.  It's been a wonderful friendship .... which I know will continue for a long time to come.

You may not know this, but 90% of the images from Bugaboo Stamps have stories behind them.  Jodie has several children and family pets.  Many images have been created after a family/child/animal event peaked an idea for Jodie. This particular FREEBIE FRIDAY image was the family guinea pig that recently departed to that wonderful pet cemetery in the sky, but left the family with wonderful memories as well as a sister..lol

Hop on over to Catch The Bug and see other delightful cards created. Today's theme challenge:  use today's FREE IMAGE and use 3 designer papers. I love this color combo..one of my favs!

"With Love" is the lovely Bugaboo Stamps image I used for my project.  We continue to celebrate the birthday of Bugaboo Stamps.  Mini challenges continue through Jan.20.  Today's challenge:  use a birthday theme and "2" of something.  I chose 2 pearls for the bag.

My box/bag project affords me the opportunity to help introduce today's challenge at Craft Your Passion. The challenge: make a box or bag (not bought) and I get to use a Bugaboo image.  My bag is from Silhouette.  I added extra dimension by adding a complementary color to the handle area, adding ribbon, pearls and sizing to my liking.

Birthdays RACE by.....

.....but get ready for a PIT STOP !

Another commissioned card for a friend whose husband loves NASCAR.  She is surprising him with tickets to the Daytona 500 for his birthday.  Request:  birthday card to reflect the gift.  I learned that Carl Edwards is his favorite driver to follow. I recycled an old svg and did my best to replicate Carl Edwards number, colors and company sponsor.

I recycled this svg I found on the web ( We Can Be Original) and turned it into my own.  I used the freebie Racing Flags svg from SVGCuts.  They have so many free svgs.  You really need to check them out.  Yes, You can used them on Silhouette, eClips, others and even with Cricut if you have SCAL 2.  Other than the white base, everything was done with scraps.

A2, embossing folder, SU punch, pop-up for spoiler and flag

A House Divided

USC/Clemson

If you are from my "neck of the woods" you understand the term defined by the love/hate relationship between the University of South Carolina and Clemson University.  My son and DIL are just that!  She is a Clemson graduate and my son, though a Citadel graduate, is a die-hard USC supporter.

I made the college logos and their initials with vinyl for these thermal cups for each of them but forgot to take a picture.  They were kind enough to take some pictures, although they thought the cups were much to close to each other...lol  (The USC colors are garnet and black but the pic made the garnet look reddish-orange.  Clemson is orange.)

NOTE for Cameo users: be sure after using vinyl and returning to paper that the control panel has a "dot" beside LOAD MAT and not beside LOAD MEDIA.  Mine did not automatically reverse back like it should.  A quick call to the company, excellent help and I was up and running correctly again.  Wonderful wonderful wonderful customer service!!!

Droppin' In

NEW RELEASE DAY
at Catch the Bug

There are TWO new releases today from Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose the "ssbparachute" for my card.  There's something about these simple faces that always put a smile on my face.  If you don't tire of motivational speakers, go to Parachute , and read a quick, true story about a parachute incident.  It's only 3 paragraphs.

I cut out a white border around my image using the Silhouette Cameo and then another shadow border for more accent.  I made 3 svg clouds, cut them using SCAL 3 and my Cameo and adhered with pop-ups for added dimension.  I used SVGCuts set called Winter Bliss and used the reverse image of the trees.  The fence is from the Silhouette store.

Head over to Catch The Bug and check out some fun cards created by the DT members.

A2, copics, PSE, stitching, pop-ups for fence, boy and clouds

Tea Time with my friend

ABC Monday
(Anything But a Card)
at
Catch the Bug

Yes, I broke down and bought a Silhouette Cameo.  I love the "Print and Cut" feature.  The P/C feature allows you to print and then cut around a jpeg and/or png images....not just an svg.  This 3-D teapot was a $.50 purchase and was soooo easy to put together.  For a finishing touch, I added this darling Tea Time image from Bugaboo Stamps.  The pink and green tag behind the image was quickly made with the Silhouette Studio.
Head over to Catch The Bug for other ideas for ABC Monday.

Teapot is about 5" high and made with one sheet of 12x12
Copics, pearl, ribbon, MS leaf punch, old flower punch
K&C Paper Pack

I plan to head over to my neighbors house with all types of tea bags in the teapot as a surprise.

Just Thinkin'....

....about you. Wish I was there!
Anything Goes Saturday Challenge
at Catch The Bug

Ahhh yes, this is always a busy, well received challenge Catch The Bug promotes the first Saturday of each month.  Comfy Chair and BBrat Big Bow - Sitter are the two Bugaboo Stamps images I married to make this little card.  I prefer darker colors, but I needed/wanted to practice some girly, pastel colors.

I cut out "Just Thinkin'" and then made an offset shadow. I backed it with pop-ups for added dimension.   Yes, some stitching, a little lace, pearls and puff heart and I say it's finished.

Please, come on over to Catch The Bug and join in on this week's challenge.

I Love My Cowboy..... (+ freebie)

....boots!!!

"Cowboy Birdie" (digital image) from Doodle Pantry just tickled my fancy!  Boots are apart of the everyday wardrobe for family members living in Texas and Denver.  I cut out an extra hat and positioned it over the other applying pop-ups for dimension.  Except for the bird, I used copics, and a plaid bandana from PSE.  I am entering the card in this week's challenge #19 at Doodle Pantry.

OLDIE BUT GOODIE DAY

Stella Tidbits - Braless from Bugaboo Stamps is a classic!  I used her this time "2 fold".  One, for OBG Day at Catch The Bug and two, the privilege of helping to introduce the challenge at Colorful Creations that starts today. Challenge: use the following sketch and include a humorous celebration theme.  I have a friend who just got a job promotion and this card is perfect to "celebrate" her advancement.
(PS:  I dedicate this card to Leo at SVGCuts.  I've been giving him a hard time....the teacher in me made me do it....love ya Leo!)

Teepee Card

I was commissioned to do a birthday card, but the request had me "scratching my head".  The theme had to include birthday, a ballerina, and a specific beach scene sent to me of the little birthday girl.  Putting that all on one card seemed impossible since I couldn't get them to relate and only had two days to complete card.  Teepee card popped into my head.  The card folds flat and fits into a 5x7 envelop.  These pictures are not the greatest, but I am in a hurry to get the card to the purchaser this morning.  I decorated the envelop with her name with sea creatures and balloons streaming down.

I didn't want to add to much to this side since so many other sides were already a little busy

Picture of the birthday girl running toward the surf

Her beautiful name. I lightly taped the name so she could play with the letters or remove them to put somewhere else
