There's a wonderful challenge going on at Card Cupids.  It is a lovely organization that uses donated cards to give to special children.  Bugaboo is their sponsor this week.  How awesome is that! Come join the fun!  I used Sean Slingshot from Bugaboo Stamps.  This also qualifies for Catch the Bug Challenge and my ribbon is my two rows of twine.  Does that count? Hummm  Think it may qualify for CDAC Wacky Wednesday with the embossed button.

...he'll eat for a day...
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat drinking beer all day!

Yup....I got the Bug....a Bugaboo Guest Designer position for July and August.  I'm so dang excited and a little nervous.  This is my very first Guest Designer position. YIKES!!! ( However, the DT members have been the best and sweetest to welcome me into their Bugaboo world.)

I was so excited when I saw the "New Release" Gus fishing.....another wonderful creation by Jodie at Bugaboo Stamps.  If you follow my blog to any degree, you know I'm a true lover of water, the beach and fishing.  My "2 happy places" are my craft room and on the water.

Check out all the  inspiration by the super DT members at Catch the Bug Blog.  It's a MUST!!!

Deets: My late FIL had a boat, motor, and hat these colors...so I used these in memory of him. Copics, wave svg (don't know where I got it), post by Heather M., MS anchor punch, metal fish, rod punch.

click on any of the pics and they will enlarge for a better view

Challenges:
Pollycraft:  (Splish Splash - water theme)
Sweet Stampin: (something old/something new)  brand new image, brand new fish embellishment and  extremely old twine and very old blue paper....haha
Scrappy Frogs:  (use anything red)
Rainbow Ladies: (use a digi stamp)

With the help of my DH, I continue trying to work on my photography skills with his mammoth camera.  I get mixed reviews....some like the outdoor pics and others the plain indoor pics.  ( This one was really hard because of the 3D composition.)  My end goal is simply post something that I hope "you" will enjoy seeing.
Carolina Girl (Cely)
Yup, stay tuned tomorrow and see what happens.  I definitely will be posting a card.  It's time for me to go fishing again.
Carolina Girl (Cely)
....And I do believe I need another drink!

Which pic to you like best of the first set of Stellas?  I'm working on my photography. Please vote!

Jodie at Bugaboo Stamps has done it again.....such talent. Stella (the image) is the little bad girl in me that sometimes pops out...haha   The Wacky Wednesday #7 challenge at CDAC calls for no designer paper and 3 buttons.  The martini glass is courtesy of Andy at Digi Streets.  This young man is loaded with talent!  You MUST drop by his blog and store.  His animations and music to go along with his stamp and cut tutorials are absolutely awesome!!!

The next card is for the Catch the Bug challenge...red, white, blue and ribbon.  The DT at Bugaboo showed me you can use any image for any occasion. Fantastic inspiration from them! So, I tried my hand at the same image but with didn't rules.  Hummm...liking the idea!

no designer paper...that was hard, 3 buttons, Andy's glass, my svg

Yesterday's card was inspired by Min at Bugaboo and now this one....ok...I almost scraplifted this one but I wrote and told her...haha  Jodie, owner and designer of Bugaboo Stamps always captures me with her awesome drawings.  The image is Turtles - July USA.  I planned to post for Wacky Wednesday Challenge at CDAC (not designer paper and 3 buttons) and now I see it will also qualify for the Catch the Bug challenge (red, white and blue and ribbon)....lucky me.

No freebie today, but I will have one tomorrow.

glitter pen, copics, twine(ribbon) Stars, embossing folder and PSE

Below is a picture I took of my son Mitchell and his friend David.  They were tossing a mud minnow trap into the low tide inlet at Pawley's Island.  I was proud of myself for catching the minnow trap in mid-air with my little Sony camera...haha  This was while we were on our college tours last week.  98 degrees at the time and HUMID!!!

Carolina Girl (Cely)
(inside says) "... it's a hot hot birthday!!!! ( Happy Birthday Ray!)

...and walking the college campuses was hot hot hot!  The college tours were very enlightening minus the heat.  Three more colleges/universities to visit.  Ahh, the visits brought pack fun memories of my youth.

Anyhooo, I wanted to get back to my craft room and do a card for the Catch the Bug Challenge (It's a Man's World). I used the fireman 6 and 2 from Bugaboo Stamps for my brother's birthday card.  Inspiration for card was Min, a DT member at Bugaboo. The card will be a tad late, but he's headed to Switzerland so my card will be the last thing on his mind....haha

I can't believe it....I didn't have a fire hydrant.  You know me...I made one and now I will share....haha

I will also head over to CDAC for Wacky Wednesday Challenge (no designer paper and 3 buttons).  If you haven't already, you really need to head over to Bugaboo Facebook page and "LIKE".  It's loads of fun, inspiration and yup, even freebies.

The blue swirls is water gushing out....please use your imagination...haha

When I saw this on a fellow bloggers blog, I knew I had to do one.  I wound up doing several.  There are NO cuts.  I added buttons, a pocket and tie pin to jazz it up a little. You can follow the easy peasy tutorial at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.  ( Hope my auto pilot worked because I'm on my way to the beach...haha)

I had a really fun time making these...

Oops...bad lighting on this one....was in a hurry!

Carolina Girl (Cely)
Yal probably don't think I ever stay home.  Well, you're right...lately I've been on the road to water somewhere...haha    I leave very early tomorrow morning to visit perspective colleges for my son and his friend.  We will be visiting universities near the coast and stay at the beach between visits...might as well enjoy the beach while we can!  I'm taking a friend for company, plus she is a high school counselor that will add a little flavor to the tours.  My husband is staying back home working to keep me in the lifestyle I'm accustom...haha  (He's really a dear, but worse is that we won't be home for Father's Day.  We will return Tuesday afternoon.)  We plan to do a little fishing, swimming, kayaking, watching the sunset with a glass of wine in our hand (just us two ladies) along with the educational activities.  I'll be taking my Ipad and laptop for communication with you guys.  I hate missing all the fantastic crafts on your blogs.

PS...I'm working on another secret project that I also can't share...that's why between the wedding, beach, lake and trip tomorrow you haven't seen any cards lately.
Carolina Girl (Cely)
....try a pink kayak!!!

This kayak belongs to a friend's daughter, Reanna.  She was kind enough to let me borrow.  I have a lot of catching up again.  But, I'am headed out the door again for now.

Not exactly good posture but I got to where I was going...haha
Lake Keowee

Kristen, at Paper Creations by Kristin, is participating in a very fun blog hop.  Check out the fun on her site.  She is now on the DT for Svgcuts.  Lot of fun, inspiring stuff going on in Arizona.

Kristin's pinwheel with Svgcuts file .....fun fun !!!

There has always been something about this adorable, silly dog that always makes me smile.  He's a "never ending" happy puppy!  I cleaned Odie up and made into an svg.  He's a trademark, so please remember that it is for personal fun and use only, not to resale under any conditions.

I'm headed to the lake today for some sun, girlfriend chats, kayaking and relaxing on the water.  I may even stay till Sunday....yippee! Look....even Odie is happy for me!

Only 5 pieces.   I recommend this size or larger

I have 45 minutes to get this posted before one of the deadlines.  I incorporated 2 images.  The girl is Brat Desiree Sitter  from Bugaboo Stamps.  The Spring fence is from Designed 2 Delight.  Bugaboo Wacky Wednesday at CDAC  and PCP (Paper Craft Planet) requires 3 specific colors.  D2D requires the specific garden fence be used.  I loved both of them so why not marry them.  Also, I think I can enter my card in the Catch the Bug Challenge for "anything goes".  Yippee!!!

I've been working on a secret project that I can't share just yet......now I must get back to cards and challenges.  I have so many things going on in my head; I can't get started.  Does that ever happen to you?  Anyhow....last little tags and for the life of me I don't know where I got this adorable cookie svg, but the peppers came from Svgcuts set called Veggie Garden - Part II.

(PS....I met the nicest young lady yesterday.  She lives in a town close by.  She found my blog and started following me and then asked if I would help her with Cricut and SCAL.  She's sorta a newbie.  She has all the great, neat fun tools....just needed a plan, a few tutorials and get her feet wet.  I was amazed with all that she had to be a newbie.  She was a quick learner and I had a great time helping someone who loves card making as much as I and you too, of course.

Svg is from Svgcuts.com "Veggie Garden" part II, Peachy Keen faces

I had a special request to make Key Lime Pies for the rehearsal party and take to the beach.  I was happy to oblige. True Key Lime Pie is not deep green, but I add just a touch of food coloring for better eye appeal.

Peachy Keen face, lime is quick svg I made

Sue at Suesstampingstuff made a great little baseball glove card using a cartridge.  I wanted to make one too especially when she said it was quick and easy.  Sometimes I really need that quick and easy card.  Anyhoooo, I no longer purchase cartridges so I made my own interpretation using her darling card as a model.  Once you make the baseball circle, draw a curve and red stitching marks.  Now ..... back to making thank you cards and catching up on responsibilities.  Today, I had to buy a car battery for my son's car....another unexpected turn of events and robbing the piggy bank...haha!

Dimensions are about 4.5x4.5 for a 5x5 card

The svg will be available for 5 days.  Enjoy!

Now for the Giveaway! Cheryl at Dragonfly Designs will be picking a person at random for a chance to win "My Big Day" svg set from Svgcuts.  Her son got a "big yes" from the girl of his dreams.  Stop over at Dragonfly Designs and leave Cheryl some advice for weddings and Mother of the Groom....I did since my son just got married last weekend.

Carolina Girl (Cely)
....just a little catch up after the wedding.  So many things for me to do....so far behind.  These are just some of the tags for foods at the rehearsal party.  Tags were suggested by friends in recognizing some snacks and desserts.   (I included my pretzel that I posted a while back.)  All desserts were homemade, made by me or friends.

Svg is from Treasure Box Designs and Peachy Keen faces.

My own svg.  Placed in bowl of M&M Pretzels....disappeared by end of party.

My own simple svg...leaf from svgcuts set Strawberries, punch for grapes.

Cake svg from Svgcuts from set "Birthday Elements".  Removed the candle from file. The pineapple svg was my creation.
